Hi Suzhan and all the other over 37 ladies

Well the lining needs to increase a bit more so I have another scan Mon. On track for FET in a week or so.

Now I need your help l- one embryo or two? In Oz - that is the choice but I am in such a dilemma.

I would love twins but I am terrified of complications when pg or at the birth, and then there's other risks. But then there is the "advancing age factor" - need to maximise the chances....would love to know your thoughts.....

I'd definitely recommend putting in both if you can. Yes, there is a chance of twins, but it is much smaller than the chance of not getting a positive if you only implant 1. Even women much younger than us are encouraged to implant 2, so I'd say definitely 'yes'! Let me know what you decide. I think our transfers will be almost the same day next week! :D

I got some kinda of disappointing news today during my scan. Somehow, I've 'lost' two follies between Monday and today. My RE could only find 5 follies on one side and 4 on the other (there were 11 on Monday). They were 16-17 mm. I wonder how you lose 2 follies in 4 days? I wish I would have asked, but I never think of these questions until I'm long gone from the office.

I'm waiting for a call from the nurse as to when my trigger will be. It's either tonight (if the E2 is high enough) or Saturday (if E2 isn't high enough today) The only good news was that he was really happy with the uterine lining - over 13 mm - I guess that's good. So, trying to maintain the pma, but am feeling a bit disappointed. 8) 8)

Hi Suzhan - how are you feeling ?- not too uncomfortable I hope. Good luck with EC - you still have a good number of follies and a good size...Your lining sounds great - mine was a measly 5 mm last week, hope it 's grown when I go for my scan tomorrow. Keep me posted - big week for us both this week...Take care. :D

I'm still undecided re the number - it's a bit like russian roulette - we have 5 in the freezer waiting for us. I will have to decide soon.

Hi Angie - thanks for the other post....somehow I never saw this, it must have gotten too far down!

I'm keeping everything crossed that my 3 embies make it to day 3 and are really strong ones! If so, we'll probably transfer all 3.

How are you doing - do you get to do the FET this week?

I'm praying for bfp's for us both this month! Talk soon!

Monday's right around the corner - that's great news! That must mean they were finally happy with your lining, right? You'll only be a few days behind me after all....let's hope we get our bfp's together this go 'round! Does your clinic recommend bed rest?

Mine does and I'm officially on my 3 day complete bed rest. Yesterday we got some great news at the ET: All three embies had progressed.....and, 2 were grade 1, 8-cells! They were the best we'd ever had - even the lab director was shocked. The third was a 6-cell, grade 2, a bit of fragmentation, but not too bad. I had gone in with great hopes, but also w/ a realistic perspective that if we were lucky, we'd get one good one, so we've been on cloud nine for the last day. DH even made our turkey dinner for thanksgiving (which was actually pretty hilarious - he's not a cook, so just 'reheating' everything was a good laugh for me.)

Keep me posted on your ET and congrat's on making it this far. Did you decide how many to transfer?

Hi Suzhan - good to hear from you. I am doing well - nice to be drug free for at least a few weeks. Have decided on another fresh cycle, (while I am still young-ish, Ok before i hit 38....!) and the doc has agreed. Means we still keep 3 frosties as a back up.

Hope you are doing well - I keep an eye on the other threads - good luck with your next scan.

Oh, so it's a fresh! Well, then I hope you have lots of strong, healthy eggs and embies. I'll keep my eye on the Dec/Jan thread (it's such a busy one, it's hard to keep up with it now and then!). I hope the stims go well! Best of luck!

Thanks for the note on my scan...I just keep praying my little miracle guy or girl hangs in there and keeps growing strong!

Take care,
