at what point were you weaned off of progesterone?
at what point were you weaned off of progesterone?
I have been cutting down for a while and may stop the injections soon. Just curious to know what your experience was?

I was never weaned off of progesterone, i just cut off of it at 11 weeks. i am currently pregnant with triplets.. so there was no negative effect on me ... wish you goodluck

I stopped injecting at 12 weeks exactly after we'd had our scan. There was no weaning off. I'm now 15 weeks and so far, so good.

The key word is weened. I was taken off of it completely at 7 weeks which was a disaster. About a day and half later I was bleeding so badly that I thought I was miscarrying. The dr in the ER said that I should have been weened off of it, not stopping cold turkey. Anyways the babies are fine so just beware if your dr. doesn't ween you off of the progesterone.

weaning now
my ob said to stop cold turkey but my ivf clinic had told me that they prefer weaning off so to not to shock the system.
so now i take one tablet of estrace instead of two. I started yesterday and took one injection of progesterone instead of twice a day. i will continue this till monday since they said to taper it off within a 3-4 day period. today is the completion of my 12 weeks (gestation, fetal 10 weeks). I do feel a bit of cramping but thank god no spotting. i hope i will be fine!!! the ivf clinic said that the placenta starts to take over starting week 10, so i think we all should be fine.
any thoughts ladies?

I am in my 11th week. My RE tried to cut my dosage to half last week and they got lower levels of progesterone in the blood test they did. So, I am back to 1cc every day. This time they told me to stop it after 12 weeks. So, no more blood tests. I should mention that my RE did cut my dosage once before successfully but the second time, they told me stay at 1cc.
