Julie - I am sorry to hear you are feeling down and very tearful, it is a very hard, emotional journey we are on and when our hormones are all over the place it doesn't help.. be assured we all feel like that sometimes, crying for apparent reason, feeling very down etc. I can't tell you the amount of times I've sat in the loo's at work and just cried, even went home one day told them I wasn't feeling well, cried all the way home and went to bed for the afternoon. It really does test our emotions doesn't it.? Like Jen says once you get to EC you will feel a bit more calmer, and then when you go for ET you'll feel excited, I won't lie to you, the 2ww is horrendous, but you will get through it with a great BFP waiting at the end for you. Lisa - How’s the 2ww going so far? Very wise to plan to keep your self busy during 2ww try take your mind of it a bit, although I know that feels impossible. Its great you have such a close relationship with your outpatient sister, I think it makes the appt's easier and a lot nicer. I can't see how a few cheeky glasses of vino could do any harm, like you say you on other cycles you've done everything to the book and it hasn't got you anywhere, on my 1st 2 cycles I didn't do anything different and got BFP on 2nd and 3rd I did everything by the book and got BFN so just shows its all down to mother nature, I am very positive this is going to be the one for you though... Jen - glad you feel you've got some energy back, you'll need it for the skiing, hope you have a lovely time, sounds lovely.. wow skiied since you were 11, you must be very good..! Broc will be fine at Adams mums and dads, you're bound to be a bit anxious of leaving him, but he'll be fine, what we like huh? can't imagine what we'll be like when we have our babies..? Have you found any more info on ED, have you decided where you'll be going for it? Anyway hun hope you're enjoying your skiing, take Care and speak soon.

Nicki - Life seems so unfair doesn't it, friends, family etc getting preg and getting on with their life’s, while we just watch the world go by, trying so hard to get what we want. I was at my sisters last night, my niece is 4 nxt month and my sis is preg, well her daughter was cuddling her and she said in the sweetest voice, mummy I love you so much, they are very close and have this wonderful relationship, and do you know what I want that so much, my sister is the closest person to me in the whole world, she is my best friend, but I will admit I am jealous of what she has but in the same breath am so very happy for her, they mean the world to me. Has the girl replied to your txt yet.? We will get there hun, and I'm very positive your 1st IVF will be the ONE... x

Souris - OMG what a nightmare you've been having, one min its on, the next its off, its hard enough without adding extra stress, I really feel for you hun, sorry AF arrived, Jen is right stress can bring it on early, also it wasn't that long ago you had a D&C (sorry) your periods might still be a bit over place, I know mine were that’s why docs wanted me to have 3 full AF's before they'd even let me cycle again. Good on for still going, it will be nice for you to have a break, not so great you won't be seeing much of DH but you'll be with your family, which is always nice.! I hope you haven't been getting much earache off DH's ex, has she mentioned the IVF to either of you.? Thinking of you sweetie.x

Kate - lovely to hear from you, I was wondering where you were. I know what you mean about wanting to take some time out, great to hear you had a lovely xmas and just got on with your life without IVF, Pregnancy etc been in your face, you definitely sound very positive and its always good to hear that partners are getting on well, because this can put a lot of strain on relationships. The yoga sounds like its doing you the world of good, so keep it up, I would like to do but I feel I'm so unfit that I won't be able to do... best of luck with the FET, I'll be thinking of you.x Keep us posted.

MLG - how’s daisy doing? Are you up a lot in the night with her or does she sleep pretty much straight through? I bet you are loving being a mummy, if you can why not post some pics of her on photo bucket, I'd love to see her. You take care you both of you. Big Kiss to the phoenixe baby from me...

Gail - How are you and baby bump, have you decided on any names yet? Or are you keeping them quiet, not long to go now hun...

As for me, I'm feeling much better, haven't got anything planned for this weekend so just having a quiet one. I too have a been a bit of a diet, its very hard though, but I've done well, nothing too stricked, just cutting out crisps, choc, biscuits and all the other gorgeous stuff thats bad for you, I've just been having a light lunch and a healthy tea, will weigh myself on Mon to see how much I've lost (IF ANYTHING) like Jen I'd like to the detox but don't think I've have the will power... I find it hard enough for having bread for a few days..!!

Still hoping I'll be doing my cycle in March, just hoping I've the money for then, when I went last weekend, my dad said he'd help me with the money, but he'd a few to drink like everyone else and he hasn't mentioned anything since, so I don't want to ask him incase it was just drink talking..... I am finding it hard though, don't even have half of the money, and I need it all by end of Feb..!!

Right going for some lunch now.

Hi everyone!!! It's me, not a new member!!! I have gone back to using my Nicolamark user instead of the nickimark one, i was nicolamark when i first joined then had a blip and it would let me log back on, so used Nickimark, now it's back to nicolamark as cant get on other name!!!

Nothing much to add really, had a night in last night, i have back ache can hardly walk so not going fr today either, dont know what bought on the back ache, I feel like i am 60 today!!!!

Hi girlies

Just a quickie as the "in-laws" are here and I have been trying to get on all afternoon to tell you that EC is Tuesday and ET is Thursday. Could someone up date the list for me please?! Thanx. I am soooo excited now.....struggling as to what time to have off work..decided to be off from EC and a week from ET...that means I will go back to work on the Friday and the last week of 2ww. Still wondering...only get 2 weeks off sick but can take unpaid.


Q.:
Do I work the last week to take mind off it as much as poss or stay at home for the best chance????

Hey Lucy, back still aches, it's more so when i walk, we went out earlier, just to get out the house, fed up of staying in, went into Comet, etc.... You know the retail parks where everyone goes on sunday when they have nothing else to do!!!

Well, saving the pennies, as you know, and guess what??? we spent £300 on a new DVD player/recorder with harddrive.....But hey we needed a new one, current one doesn't work!!! so now we are poor!!! poorer than before!!!!

But dont worry, still have money for IVF.......

I secretly think although this is our last try, on ivf i also think that, if it doesnt work i will keep trying!!!! I mean how can i just quit like that after 5 yrs huh????

Anyway, was walking real slow round shops, and dh was getting annoyed said i acting like i was pregnant!!!! what???!!!!

YOu know, i think it was coz i was walking with a waddle!!!!

It's not so bad now, but ive been taking pain killers all afternoon, which i didnt want to do as trying to keep my body pure, but i had too, just praying it'll be better after a good nights sleep!!!

Hi Julie - Wow EC Tuesday, can't believe it, do you know how many follies you have? Everyone is different as to how much time they take off work but I've always (apart from last cycle) had 2 weeks off after ET, I've been lucky that all my EC's have been on a Saturday so ET has been Monday, so for me I've finished work on a Friday and didn't go back for 2 weeks. Take as much time as you feel you need. Some people say it’s good for them to go in for the 2nd week, take their mind of it... Don't you get paid if you have a sick note, my doc has always been very good and issued me a sick note for 2 weeks while on 2ww.!!! Anyway hun I'm keeping everything crossed for you.. Updated list for you.x

Nicki - Yep I know what you mean about these retail parks, don't think people like staying in much over the weekend, I always see guys walking round with women, looking like they'd rather be at home watching the footie or something but us girls do love to shop and why not take the fellas with them huh? £300 on a DVD recorder, you should of gone to Currys..... you must of got a top of the range one, we got one free with our Plasma TV, I looked on Currys webiste to see how much it would of been if we'd bought it, only £185, good make too..!!! Glad your not dipping into the IVF funds.. I know what you mean, how you can you just give up? You can't, thats what I meant in my other message to you, you'll always want to keep going, I'm really skinting myself and will prob be in a lot of debt but I can't give this up, I just can't, I feel I'm so close to getting my dream..! Anyway you rest up hun, are you working tomorrow?

Yes Lucy!!! Totally agree, I dont think i can ever not want kids!!! A friend of my mums hasn't got kids, she still thinks about what if, she's 60 now so never will it happen, but in her day it was before IVF.... she thinks i am so lucky!!!!

Hi LUCY - I had 22 follies (4 of which above 17mm) but had partial obscure view of left ovary again because of bowel gas!!!! mmmmmm, my DH would disagree with that! ha ha. Finish work today, getting sick note from Thursday for a week and then returning to work on day 8...see how I feel. I basically get paid 10 days sick, sicknote or no sicknote...

Ran out of time again to do personals but will catch up with you all on Wednesday - LIS hope you are ok hun. Everything crossed for you xxx

thank you all for your kind words. no time for personnals sorry. it has been mad here lately. AF is fully here and it is a proper one, so i hope that next month she will be on time. I am flying out tonight, but plans have changed again . I am not going home just yet, because DH mum is dying, so he is flying with me, we are going to see her at her home (old people home). We dont know how long we will stay there. The poor thing, she has had alzeimer for a few years, and she has been unwell for the last past months. DH booked some holidays at the ed of the month to go and see her, but unfortunately, she had a kind of attack yesterday and she is now uncunscious and under morphine. the doctors give her a few days at the most...

got to go, finish the suitcase...

Kate- good to hear from ya Honey...we were all worried! glad you are chilling out and relaxed from your time out...Hope all goes well with your next appointment when is it for the update?? You said towards end of jan feb for FET!!! Do you have to take meds first?

Hi to anyone i have missed in personals...


It seems you lot are all rearing to go with your FETs and Ivfs...I am feeling so left behind But i gotta wait as we can't do everything at once i suppose...I have looked at the website for all the clinics but havent made enquiries yet. we are not gonna go until june/ july/ aug and are using our money at the moment for wedding holiday ad prep for Party so don't wnna incure any more spends just yet!!! A bit like you Nicki we have spent enough just now and we still need a new fridge as our other one is on the blink now!....
we did enjoy our weekend away but unfortunately although there was snow it was too windy and wild to open any of the tows for skiing! We spent a lot of the time walking Broc through the forest and playing cards/reading. I really enjoyed it as frelaxing down time! We are in Glasgow this weekend as Broc is staying at our parents in law he doesn't know what is gonna hit him as he is so used to me being at his every beck and call...Adam says it will do him good! I just keep thinking it will be better than him going to kennels when we are away so it will be fine. Thanks for all your feedback on this as now i know others would feel the ssame i am not as madly emotional as i thought!

Just thought I would fill you in. We have 8 eggs which will be fertilized today and we will know tomorrow dinner what survives.

Unfortunately we have to have a "freeze all".. so ET has been cancelled.I have water (?) in my uterus and this means that we cannot proceed with treatment for 3/4 months until it has been sorted. Any embryos will have to be frozen until then, so looks like could be April before ET.

I have no idea why or how it is there or how it will be sorted and need to contact the nurses.

We are majorly disappointed and extremely sad.

I am sure the time will fly (again!!) and I can have a bottle of red wine tonight (or two!) What a plus!!!

So gutted because we didn't expect anything like this. I was so positive and excited this morning....
