morning ladies (well...most of you are in noddyland at the moment!!)

cinny - cool, once i started reading up on icsi i felt much better too. our clinic wont do blast transfers so dont know too much about that. you must be feeling such mixed emotions...i know i am!!

welshbugger - thanks for your well wishes. did you hear that kylie had to finish the show early coz she didnt feel well??

ange (my hair buddy... :D ) - what did you have done? i had cut and colour (red). you made me laugh about your "smile" OMG (oh my god - for the newbies) i cant believe what you said about your blisters. you poor thing. i hope they're healing up nicely!!

aunty - you're so sweet. the list is looking fab!! how you feeling??

silva - thanks for your well wishes. i'm feeling much better today thank you. what a day yesterday was!! lol. good luck with your next app today and 12 follies so far is great!!! god, you're so close now!!

tony - GL (good luck) with starting stimms today!!!

tans - its lovely to hear how nice your dh is to you!!! aaawww, bless him! (you have him trained well  )

lara -   you crack me up!!!! sorry to hear about your hot moments...it will all be worth it very soon!

sophie - how you doing hunny?? you're so quiet that i'm worried!! just wondered...do you have a myspace account?? it would be great to put a face to your name!!

meg - any news on AF yet (or a miracle??!!)

as for me - af and ibs are behaving a little bit today. i'm just getting so excited and nervous about tue. its terrible when you wish days away, isnt it?! anyway, my clinic has updated their website and they know have on there the drugs i may be using. ok, downregging can be in nasal spray form (Nafaralin, Buserelin or Synarel) or injections ( Buserelin)...so i wonder if i can choose. if i can...does anyone have any tips on which is better?? and for stimms they use Puregon, Gonal F, Menopur and Mengon but i think i would only be using the first 2. they also have dates on there for when your AF is and then when you're meant to start and it looks like since my AF was a day early, i can start a week earlier...but we'll wait and see on tues.

the other thing i thought i would post on here that might be of interest to some of you is this. In January 2007 my clinic were the first unit in the country (UK) to be allowed by the HFEA to offer in-vitro maturation (IVM) of oocytes as a fertility treatment. this is what is written on their website:

IVM is a suitable alternative to standard IVF for women <36 years of age who have polycystic ovaries on ultrasound scan. For other women IVF is likely to be a better treatment.

IVM involves taking immature eggs from unstimulated ovaries and then maturing them in the laboratory followed by their fertilisation using ICSI. Embryos are then transferred to the womb a few days later. The egg collection is performed in the same way as a standard IVF collection. Since no ovarian stimulation is required there is no need to buy and take daily gonadotropin injections for 2 weeks and no need to sniff a drug for 3 weeks before that. This means IVM is safer (no risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome), cheaper (no need to buy injectable drugs) and quicker.

there is more on this but i thought i would only copy and paste some of it on here...if anyone wants more info though, look on www.fert.org.uk and go to treatments, and then IVM.

sorry if i've bored anybody....just thought it was quite interesting...

bye for now!!

Morning Ya'll.
Welcome Cinny, the girls here are the BEST!

Erin- wow you are getting so close to your BFP!!! Yup watching the PATS tonight, I was hoping DH was going to friends to watch so I could have the house to myself for a bit but no dice heheh! 1 thing I have noticed is the little bit our itrritablility with being pregnant, kinda funny because I am a VERY patient person, but he is driving my CRAZY hehehe!
oh well. OK and SO JEALOUS! i have to work Monday and you have it off!!! but going to Border Cafe for dinner in Saugus so I am pumped!!
GOOD LUCK with your shots, ROCK ON my pin cushion friend!

MY- things are good, we went to my cousins surprise 30th party and pooped this morning, but other than that feeling really good!
Good Luck Monday I will be thinking of you!

Steph- GOOD LUSK with ET!!!
(everytime I type ET I think of the movie and the alien going home hehehe)

Shantala- WHATS UP!!!! yup I was in noddy land heheheh! you crack me up!
I will be thinking good thoughts for tuesday!!!!! thats your day right???
how are you doing?

AMC- BIG CONGRATS ON YOUR BFP!!!!! that is awesome!

Becky- Soooo glad you ike your job, makes the days go by faster I think! Kylie in concert must have been amazing, she is an amazing woman, and always so classy you know, she really founght and won a good battle. I admire her!

Ange- Yeah Itchy scraty is on the way out the door! I remember when DH was going thru Chemo that was one of the side effects and he used to scratch his skin with bottle caps UGH I can still hgear the sound!!!
OH and I know the phrase is "bun in the oven' but PLEASE don't toast your tummy any more hehehe!

Rachel- wow amsot your time too huh!!!!

Aunty- how are you?? how are the headaches and all???

as for me. Very tired this morning, I have a problem sleeping in these days, we were at a party and got home after midnight and still BING up at 6am, so nappy time for me today!!! Getting pretty good at that :) few home projects i want to do, but other than that nice relaxing day! yippee!!!! Still feel awesome not too nauseus at all! got headaches alot but they usually go away. Honestly I have found working out has helped me not have morning sickness, who knows? ok totally rambling!

Hi everyone!

Cinny - welcome to this board and to the roller coaster! It's my first time too and these ladies are fantastic. It doesn't take long to pick up all the lingo and if there is anything that you don't understand - just ask - and someone will always answer you! That's the great thing about this board. I swear I've learnt more here from these wonderful ladies than I have at my clinic!

Amc - graet beta scores - good luck with your next one! Sending lots of sticky baby dust your way!

Steph - your embies sound even better now - sticky baby dust to you too!

Silva - 12 follies - that's great - keep feeding them that nice food!

As for me I have my baseline US & bloods on Tuesday so all being well - should be a human pin cushion by Wednesday - I'm excited and scared to get started! Not so scared about injections anymore (a lot of you have put my mind at rest! LOL) just the unknown, worries about how many follies I will have, about OHSS (is that right?) about ovulating too soon (didn't really think about that until it was a worry for people on this board) will the cylce go all the way through? starting too fret more as I'm typing this so will stop!

Anyway - I know I have to be positive, and my DH is an absolute Rock for me - I asked him the other day - who will be his rock? and he said he will be the rock for both of us - but I do worry for him, because I sometimes feel that he doesn't get the chance to show his emotions because he thinks he will upset me.

I really am going to stop now, because I am getting too maudling!

Thinking of everyone x LOL x

As for me im not avin much luck at the min fell over last week and now ive gone and piut a nice big dent in the side of me car and took some of the sealent off the window at the side. I was reverseing out of some metal gates from a club were DH was sining last nite. It was not lit up very well and i couldnt see. There was a piece of metal sticking out and it caught on my car and well the rest is history as they say. Well as you can imagin im not happy ive just paid to get the gear boxed fixed now im gonna have to pay to get this fixed.
Worse was it stuck on piece of metal and it would not budge. There were these young lads there trying to help us (very nice looking may i addlol) and i had to let one of them reverse it out for me as i couldnt do it how embarrassing    . I swear i keep looking for the numbers 666 under her bonet everything keeps going wrong with her at the min. anyway sorry for the moan i do feel better now though lol .

Wow, took off for a couple days and will have to write a novel to catch up (that serves as my "here comes a long post" warning!!)

AMC: What fantastic news! Not that we already didn't know you had a BFP, but the confirmation is always nice, no?

My; woohoo! go embs go! Sending you ALL + vibes i have at my disposal for tomorrow!

mominwaiting: you have impressive kookaburro knowledge (and here i thought they were fictional  ). Thanks!

Tans: congrats on ET. sounds like you have good hubby! Wishing you all the patience in the world for 2ww!

Rachel: oooo, bummer on the hot flashes and HA, how much longer on lupron?

Beachbaby: nice to have you back!

Meg: are you TOTALLY iced over there in Omaha??? Talk about FROZEN embryos!!! heeheehee

Cinny: Welcome to the looney bin! This thread is great and you will find lots of support here. I have a list of abbreviations... will pm (private message) you a little later today (already late after writing this novel  ). My clinic also does blasts, and i do ICSI.

Ange: blisters on belly  . No, i am sure that you didn't mention that before... would have remembered. Hope you are taking good pictures of injection-marked, blistered belly along w/creeping crud... those kids better appreciate what their mother is going through to get them here! Glad to hear crud is improving.

Silva: good # follies! Any news today on when you will trigger???

Shantala: great to hear you are getting real excited.. i love that feeling just before a cycle... nervous and excited. I know, the days seem to go by so slowly... but before you know it you will be triggering!!!

Charlie: You are getting real close... couple more days (btw i get how hard the unknown is... there are SO many things we could worry about, no? Easier said than done, but hoping you are able to keep the "worry demons" at bay!)

Aunty: How are you feeling? (btw.. you rock! thanks for everything!)

Mom20: wow. you have truly been through the ringer lately. I am glad that you can come here and feel safe venting a bit here. Take care of yourself!

To all the 1st timers starting stims... i concur w/what has been said... i understand the nervousness about the shots... but you (AND dhs!) will all do great!

Ciao!

Hi eveyone this will be short for now.... Got my embie update and need lots of prayer for my 2 that are taking a thier time ha ha we have:
1 - Morula
1- 12 cell
1- 10 cell
and the rest have failed to make it. I will have 1-2 to transfer so that is a very good thing and I am very happy about that BUT
My question to all you ladies who know far more than I do about this is........
Can a 10 cell make it to blast over night?
Last time we had 2 @ 12 cells that barely made it to blast and resulted with a BFN so curious about the 10 cell embie.
Thanks to you everyone for all your help thru this I will be back later to do personals :)
Stephanie

I am new to the site, but appreciate the postings. I know there are other that are going through the same thing. I am taking Follistem (300 IUs per day) and the Lupron, which seems to be working. Latest count was 17 folicles. I am so bloated though, I look like a dork walking! I should trigger on Tuesday, that is very exciting...the egg capture should be Thursday and you know the rest. The tough part is, I just started a new job and it has been very hard to get away for blood work and ultrasounds, which have been 2-3 times per week. Anyway, thanks for the information and support...I will keep you all in my thoughts.
