Chris, Welcome it's good to have a laugh....I must admit I'm struggling to get that revolving bed out of my mind as well. I hope I don't crack up at my FET! I think it's supposed to be quite a solemn occasion ....

Welcome cris! yes, the thread title no longer describes what is going on here, huh? How did a frustration thread take such a sharp left to become the "comedy central" of the IVF forum? Who knows... and who cares... i have laughed more in the last several days, than in the last several months... and i think it has done wonders for my mood! That seratonin level is rising as we speak :D .

All right, i am going to be thinking about this as i fall asleep tonight. I do agree, Fee, your RE's quote about exploding ovaries is a MUST (btw, what the h@ll was he thinking??). heeheehee.

Ok - we'll build some backing vocals in now. We'll include helpful comments from my doc when measuring the lining:

"mmmm you're just about there, just about there, just about there" (to a beat box rythmn)

FOLLOWED BY CHORUS LINE:

"It's just a numbers game, just a numbers game, just a numbers game............ (sing joyfully to fade..)

(Another helpful comment from him!)

Hee hee - coming along well!

How about a scene involving a poor DH trying desperately to give the woman he loves a shot in the butt while the family dog attacks him because he thinks he's trying to hurt his "mom"?

Or there's got to be one involving mood swings---that would be a fun song to write. Happy and upbeat one minute, sad and mean the next.

Geez, the things we go through.

And, we'd get free publicity because all the right-wingers would picket and protest outside!

Oh, and how about this for a title--"The REPRODUCERS". (Sorry, just watched the Producers on HBO and it stuck in my head!)

Awesome - this is going to be a Broadway hit - I just know it!

I will have to come over to New York to work on the show with you all. Oh wait - I can't as I can't make any plans as I don't know when my EC will be!

Oh the artistic vision....I'm loving that chorus Angie, I think that the "numbers game" song could be quite a spectacular...um... number...

I think definately Broadway debut is in order. may be an appearance on Oprah (cycles permitting of course)

Meg, the dog scene is a classic. I didnt' realise that even animals suffer during the process. Definately has pathos. Will your dog be auditioning for the role? And Reproducers, genius...

Hi,

I am an american living in Swiss too! I know what you mean. Its tough to see babies and pregnant people all the time and iit makes it seem like even more of an impossibility. But, you just have to be positive and know that when the time is right it will happen! My husbands first cousin tried to have a baby from 37 years and she has a beautiful 3 year old and perfect daughter who was conceived when she was 42. So, I believe that if you keep trying it will happen when its destined too!

:D
I live inSwizerland.

Fee--Oh, yes, the animals suffer! Can't imagine that my dog will audition--he really is a shy little thing when he isn't defending my honor!

I am in a foul mood today. You girls are lucky that you only get to see the written me, today. The real me is pretty grouchy!!! I feel a little out of control. Think I might be losing it...

This musical definitely has to be on Broadway, I am already buying tickets!! . I can take my dog for auditions if Meg's dog is shy, it is a chocolate lab, but I am afraid he will start jumping on the rest of the cast!!!!!,
Keep it up, now I want to know what's next on the show!!!

Wendy: Welcome to the forum! I see you just had a FET... i am hoping the best for you with your upcoming beta.

Meg: oooo, grouchy, huh? Sorry to hear it. We are all here if you want a good, juicy vent...

All right, the only thing i have to add right now, is an aria (one male (RE), one female), operatic like singing about how her eggs are old. They're old, they're old, they're old, he says they're old, (with runs and the whole deal, and then he chimes in really, really low).... THEY'RE OLD.

The shot scene is a MUST.. ooo we can make a lot out of dh hesitation to give first shot (back and forth, back and forth). oooo, Vicky, your lab could jump all over the dh giving shot... it would be perfect! Could also add the embiesitter singing a lullaby, and a scene where 8 cell embryos fight amongst themselves re:who is less of a fraggie (kind of like the rumble in West Side Story  ). I concur w/Fee... "Reproducers" is genius! Broadway, here we come! woohoo!

Girls I have another scene idea.

I have just got my timetable and I have my suppression check on, you've guessed it 14 Feb!

Scene 2: Valentines Day appointment with dildocam

I'm imagining the little dark room with the scanning machine. Put on the lights and lo and behold it's all decked up with hearts and balloons. Perhaps a cherub or two (perhaps that can be the doc - no, no this is going to far!!) - After the scan perhaps I'll get a box of choccies as a special treat!

Tell you what, I'm making sure DH comes to that appointment - he usually does - but scan on Valentines DAy with the moustached Dr D- what timing!

Angie--I love how you call him the "moustached Dr. D". I'm loving that image. That will definitely be a Valentine's Day to remember. !

Ha ha, Angie I almost keeled over laughing at your upcoming Valentines treat. So your gonna get lucky with dildocam on Valentines Day. Love the scene, so romantic or a bit porno, can't decide.

Sass Loving the old egg opera. I think it's suitably dramatic. Will the RE have a touch of hysteria in his voice? Will we have a chorus line of old (but defiant eggs) as a follower? I'm thinking some sort of old egg dance to some fighting music like "eye of the tiger" or the Rocky theme. Sure the eggs are from the wrong side of the tracks and are on struggle street but they will survive because they are tough hard assed sons of B***hes.

Meg, sorry to hear you're in a bad mood. I think you should take some of your own advice and go and smack someone, preferably family or close friends, less likely to press charges etc..

Vicky thanks for the dog, he is our first cast mate. I think we will be able to attract some big name talent to our show for the other roles....If I was an actor I would certainly want "The Reproducers" on my resume.

Wendy, thanks for your input. Its good to have good news stories to keep us positive!

Totally just had a great idea! When we're in the freezing stage, the embrios can do a dance to "Ice, Ice Baby". Or we could change it to "Ice, Ice and then turn into a baby".
Or do you think it would cost too much to pay for the rights to use it? I don't want to blow our whole budget on that, as I really think we should save up so P Diddy can have a part. After all, he's supposedly quite the Broadway sensation.

Damn that's a good idea. I think we will just have to fork out the $ for the rights. I'm really seeing your vision.

I think you'll find that P Diddy will be knocking down our door for a part. I think the role will give him a lot more cred as an actor. For that reason he is likely to work for minimum rates. What role do you see him playing??
