LIFE IS CRUEL.....

Post by LISA@BELLASALES »

WELL TALK ABOUT GIVING A BABY CANDY AND TAKING IT AWAY. MONDAY I FINALLY GOT A BFP AFTER 4 ATTEMPTS. THE NUMBER WAS 27. WENT BACK TODAY AND THE NUMBER IS DOWN TO 19. SO WE ALL KNOW THE ANSWER TO THIS STORY. I AM HOWEVER HAPPY THAT I LEAST I KNOW I CAN GET PREGNANT WHICH WAS MAKING ME ABSOLUTELY CRAZY. TO ALL THOSE IN CYCLE GOOD LUCK AND DON'T GIVE UP.
LOVE,

Hi Lisa,
so sorry for you this happened to me in November it was the worst week of my life, hoping the numbers increased. I like you took it as a positive that we know we can get pregnant, i have 77 frosties left and am due my next FET first week of feb. I wish you all the luck in the fiture, take some time out for you and DH, annd come back fighting.
J

PS do you think this is more common in a FET cycle? as that is what i was doing.

Lisa... so sorry to hear that news. I recently experienced the same thing the day after Christmas. Tested positive, 3 beta's 4th beta dropped and I miscarried. It's horrible to be so elated and then get that news, I can totally relate and am so sorry. On a positive note, yes you can get pregnant. Did you Dr. talk to you about anything he/she can do differently if you try again. I'm currently in cycle again and have added Heparin to my protocol as well as planning to have PGD testing. Age is likely my issue here. Good luck and give yourself the time to grieve.

Beach...not sure if it's more likely with FET as my cycle was fresh.

hugs,
Ange

Thanks for your kind words ladies. The only thing that sucks right now is that they still have me doing the shots and the e2 patches until the number goes to zero. My doctor is out and she doesn't even know this yet. The nurse whom I am very friendly with called me as soon as the results came back.
When will I M/C?All the nurse said was that the numbers went down and it doesn't look good.
This is the first time it actually took. I wasn't over excited when they called because like the rest of you I know that a beta of 27 is destined for a problem. I just hope nature takes its course and I can just move on to the next cycle. So sad, but I guess a normal pregnancy would not end this way , so nature has a way of taking care of it on it's own. Seems so unfair to finally get there and then BOOM, another slap in the face. I will know more tomorrow.
I keep telling myself that the bright side is, it did implant which has never happened before, so I only pray it will again.

Lisa--Same thing happened to me in November. And you're right, the worst part is having to continue taking the medicines even after you're pretty sure it's over. Plus, for me, I'm paying everything out of pocket so I had to keep paying for blood pregnancy tests at $100 a pop until it was at 0. Grrr....

It just sucks and that's about all you can say about it! Wishing you the best of luck in the future...

Lisa - I'm sorry you've experienced this, it really is frustrating and unfair.

I hope you don't mind me mentioning this, but I thought I recalled a few months back you were asking about immune issues? Was that you? I wondered if you ever had that investigated. A chemical or early m/c can certainly be another red flag that there may be something else at work.

I wish you all the best and pray that 2007 brings you better results.

Lisa I am so sorry. The same thing happened to me in my first IVF. I was so elated, then absolutely hit rock bottom. However, as you have said, you DID GET PREGNANT. This is a very positive thing.
And I'm now 16 weeks pregnant from my second IVF, so it really can happen! Hang on in there

Hi, I took all the immunology tests and 1 came back positive and they gave me baby aspirin. This was the first time I got pregnant so I guess it worked alittle. I am waiting to get more answers tomorrow.
