Thanks for all the info ladies.

By the way, welcome nouna...hope I spelled that right. Also, it is so comforting that some of us are so close in our journey to motherhood (stimming 2gether, starting lupron, stopping bc, etc) It feels like a tight knit circle of friends (only, it's friends that always have the "right" thing to say, or REALLY KNOW what you are going through). I have a friend that I have known 23 years and when I told her I was having trouble, she just volunteered her womb. I thought that was kinda weird b/c I wasn't looking for a surrogate, just a sympathetic ear. So happy to have found this site. My 2 cents...my luv, prayers, and baby dust (I'm learning the lingo LOL

Good luck ssalgado
This is my 1st cycle and I was TERRIFIED of the shots (bad experience w/ needles). I think I negoitated for ten minutes bf I realized that I was just being a big scary cat. The one I am scared of is the IM. My mother-in-law is a nurse, so I know she can give it to me, but she says that my bottom is the best place to give it. Don't know if I am comfortable with that. She is a darling, though.

I am also gearing up to do ICSI around Feb 6, if everything goes as expected. I am hearing great things about it. Again, wishing every1 the best!

Hi All

I haven't posted in a while, although I have been reading and following everyones journies!

Vickie - congratulations on your 19 eggs - when do you find out how many have fertilised? I have never been through IVF before, but I think if I had good embryos I would definitely freeze them!

Jodic - gongratulations on your 6 embryos, lets hope you have 2 snuggling in for the next 9 months!

SC - congratulations on your 10 eggs! Cheering on your DH's soldiers!

Ems - I know you maybe disappointed but like Aunty said they may find more when they can have a good root around! Also is there still a bit of time for some more to grow? How long have you got left on the egg food?

Tanya - hang on in there sweetie! Will you be taking a HPT?

Amy - sending lots of sticky baby dust to you and praying that your 1 embie is snuggling in for the next 9 months!

Lisa - Good luck with your scan - hope there are lots of nice big follies in there!

Nouna - welcome to the thread - these ladies really are sooooo fantasic! My egg retrieval should either be the 29th or 30th so we are extremely close!

Sophie - I hope the IBS calms dow soon for you! Poor love!

Shantala - I'm sorry you have to wait - it must be so frustrating - hang on in there it will all be worth it! Any you really will be properly prepared you get your body all detoxed and ready!

Angie - glad you have your dates! LOL

Aunty - you are nearly there and hopefully your headaches will stop when you start stimming!

As for me I had the thumbs up to start stimming :D - so I had my first menopur shots yesterday - I even managed to give the second one myself (although I think i did it a bit high up - hope it doesn't matter  ) It really wasn't as bad as I was expecting! Woke up with a big headache this morning though! I go for my next scan on the 22nd then 24th then 26th so it is reasuring that they are monitoring closely. Getting excited now!!!!

Good luck to everyone downregging / stimming / waiting for EC / ER and on the dreaded 2ww! Praying for you all!

Lots of love to everyone

Morning ladies

Thanks everyone for the wellwishes. I was really touched by how many people wished me well for the open eve! And thanks to those who have replied since! I guess at least it gives me time to keep a close eye on you lot!!

Aunty – the list is looking fab (as usual!)…although I had trouble finding myself at first!! Lol. Aaww, you’re so sweet!!!! Thanks for your encouraging words and I’m glad I’ll still have you around even when you have your BFP!! Thanks for your reply about EC to nouna as well….that really put my mind at rest. Not sure whether I’m more scared of the EC or the ET though!! Mind you, I’ll find out on tues what the ET will be like!! :D

Silva – well done on your 10 eggies!! When do you find out how many have fertilised? yes, it is an awful lot to have up your nose…lol. It’s 2x in the morning and 2x in the evening for about a month! :?

Meg – doing AF dance for you! any joy yet?

Beachbaby - think it’s a great idea that you donate your left-over eggs to this study. It does seem much better and much less invasive. Its amazing what can be done now isn’t it? Thanks for letting me know about you using the nasal spray. Ok, its put my mind at rest that it still has a good outcome and it doesn’t sound quite so bad! Glad your AF arrived and you’re ready to go!

Sophie – hey! Thanks for missing me! :D yes, I have been at work. Lol. Yes, ibs has calmed down a little (thank god)…it hasn’t played up that much in a very long time!! How you doing?? Has your ibs calmed a bit??! Good luck with your suppression check. Let us know how it goes!

Ss – sorry to hear about your dh. Glad he’s out of hospital though! Get-better-wishes to him though! Don’t worry about your pics…whenever you have a minute!! Well done on your first shot as well!!

Haylie – glad to hear that your lining is fine…it’s not long now till you have your FET!! Wooohoo! Thanks for your words. You’re very right, at least I know where I’m going now and that I will be able to start definitely with my next AF. (as long as the trial goes ok on tues) but it is definitely nice to have a plan! :D

Lara – is your baseline scan similar to mine?? I have a baseline scan on Tuesday with a trial transfer…hope your headache is better!

My2 – great to hear that your embies are back at home!! uuuhhh, not long till your test!! Its so exciting. How you feeling??

Hopeful – sextuplets!!!??!? Blimey!!! Were they all born healthy?? Glad your lining is doing so well. Not long now!!

Cinny – not long till your baseline!! :D

Tans – the wait must be killing you. Thinking of you lots!! It will all be worth it in the end!!

Jodic – 6 embies!!! That great. Oooohh, I’m so excited about your ET on Saturday hopefully!!

Tony – good luck with your EC on mon/tues!!

Cook – good luck with your follie scan today and getting your EC date!! How exciting! Let us know as soon as you get back!!

Vickie – 19 eggs, that’s brilliant!!! Well done!! Have you had your call this morning yet to see how many have fertilised?? Its good to hear that you made a decision and have decided to freeze your embies!!

Ems – oh, sweetie!! I’m so sorry, it’s another thing that’s cropped up!!! Thinking of you lots!!! Good luck with your scan!!

Amd – sorry to hear only one of your embies made it. But it only takes one!! Praying for a really strong BFP for you in just 7 days!!!

Fed – great to hear that everything is looking good! Good luck for your scan on the 20th!

Macca – good luck with your scan on the 20th! Thinking of you!!

Nouna – a great big welcome to you!!! You’ll find this board really useful and so supportive! Don’t know what I would have done so far without these lovely ladies (and gents)!!

Mominwaiting – woohoo for starting downregging yesterday!! That’s so exciting!!

Angie – thanks. I guess it is a plus to make sure there are no blockages. Its silly but I’m quite excited about it! It just makes it feel like stuff is happening and it will also benefit me in the long run to make sure it’s a safe home they will be going to!! How you doing??

Sassy – thanks hunny. How you doing??

Phxivf – how did your EC go yesterday???

Wiscon – how was your triggering yesterday??

Emma – well done for starting stimms today! thinking of you!

Charlie – thanks!! Well done for starting stimms!! That’s so exciting! And yourself? That’s brilliant!

sorry its such a long post!

Hi all,

Lisa fantastic news about your twins, sorry about DH job, why is it always christmas time. I'm sure he'll find something even better soon.

Shantala, don't worry about ET its just like having a smear test, uufortunately for me i have a kinked cervix so its a little more tricky so i get the boss man, but its still all over within 10 minutes.

hope everyone is okay will speak soon.

Afternoon Ladies,

How are u all? Im at work an im allowed on durin lunch and im starving, so its a quickie im afraid lol....

Ems: Sorry ur scan didnt go as planned hun, but its not over till the fat lady sings and i havent started singing yet - so dont be worrying, just consentrate on ur PMA, im sure there will be more eggs than the last time, ur on more eggie food and that will help. And i know this doesnt help, but it does only take one, im praying hard for u and sending hugz and baby dust ur way xxxx :D

Vickie: 19 eggs - woooooo hoooooo greedy guts LOL - so pleased for u hun, much better than the last time (see Ems - 2nd time lucky) have u heard back how many u got yet? IM waiting patiently to hear ur news :D

Shantala: Wots another month hun when u will have the rest of ur life with ur wee one - i know its disapointing cos u wanted to start as soon as, but the doc's know best. You have a few dates to keep u busy up untill then, and besides u always have us here to vent off at - im so pleased it went well for u, and i cant wait till u start - u've been patient and a wonderful support on this thread, and we can support u soon :D

Aunty: How are u hun? Hope all is well - ur starting eggie food soon yes? Wooooooooo Hooooooooo - i cant wait lol. U deserve this so much.

Lisa: Sorry to hear bout ur DH losing his job, its always diffuclt. Fantastic news about the twins - im really pleased for u - well done :D xx

I know ive missed loads of u, im sorry but i do read u all and i know ur all ok - as for me, im the same as usuall - bored shitless and cant wait to get going again. I been having weird dreams lately (and i not taking anything lol) i dreamt i was in labour the other night and was havign a baby boy (awww) and last night i dreamt that i was taking a pg test cos i could feel a baby inside me kicking - and the result said - try again in 30 days for a better result - i was like 30 days!!!! I cant wait 30 days - weird lol
