Hi Nicki!

Just to answer your question about what to tell work,just be honest.

I was and everyone was great,there will be support there all the time.

Too many of us feel embarrassed and ashamed to admit they are not "normal" and cant concieve naturally,we are the special ones who will love our children unconditionally because we have gone through so much to have them!

I took 2 weeks off starting from my treatment and only rested on the sofa for a day after insemination,then just took it easy no hoovering!

My babies are amazing and often move me to tears,it wont be long before you will be holding yours!

Hi Niki

I have been following your story. I too, like Xrayem am now 15 wks pregnant after IVF, following three failed IUIs. I'm glad you've made the decision to move on. IVF can definitely work after disappointing IUIs - I am living proof!

Also, about telling work, I actually took 4 weeks off work. I had two weeks as holiday and two weeks as sick leave (you do have an operation afterall, my clinic wrote me a letter no problem). I told my boss and the HR director. They were completely supportive. I had my time off from the start of the stims through to the results. I know I was very lucky to have that much time off.. but if you can look after yourself it's worth it.

Ive told manager, and we are telling others I am on holiday!!! Easy huh???

I think i will take the time off after EC and til Et for sure, and then what do u recommend, 2 days 3 days or more after ET????or the whole 2ww???
Also is 2ww counted from EC or ET??

I am going back to OZ when I finish my work contract in May, so I hope to be back on tmt around Sept? Soooo you will be BFP way before me

as for telling my boss i didnt have to cause he was my husband!!!!!

it has been very very cold here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i hope everyone had a great christmas and has moved on to a wonderful new year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am picking my sister in law up on the 24 and we are staying in a great hotel and getting arehair done and a massage.
the break will be nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
