Hi ladies,
I have been gone all week with a business trip. Wow!! we have alot of ladies right in the middle of youe cycles!! EC, triggers, ET.... So many of you have had great eggs, BFP's etc...
Im so happy for all of you. Im still waiting for AF. The bloating has finally went down now, so should be OK for feb start.
Let me read up on the last 10 pages and I will send personals.
I just wanted to apologize that I havent been around. Just a little frustrated that I was cancelled.

Oh my god - my DH has turned into a complete d*ck these last few days - deciding not to speak to me for some reason?? - i have asked him what is wrong and he says nothing like a spoilt teenager - just what i need in the midst of my drug binge (lol)

LMAO oh Emma i thought it was just me and my Hubby, we always have a great relationship but these past few days OMG i asked him if he was pricking himself with the lupron he was being such a b*!ch moody and mean, i was thinking maybe i was being over sensitive (typical i look to blame me for his moods) but no it's deffinatly him
And i agree we are the one's being injected and having our bodys thrown out of wack they really should be being more supportive.
Jackie it's really good to see you, you may have been out of site but your not out of mind...i think its awful what you had to go through did they say they would be watching you more closley next time...i cant wait for you to start i will be looking out for your BFP in the near future.

JackieG, when I want my AF to come, all I do is take a HPT, I realize that once I dash the hope of a BFP being there, I am less stressed and AF just happens.

Good afternoon guys!
oooooh I'm so excited! My dear, dear hubby-bubby offered himself to do the grocery shopping for this week because I drove him to and from the train station yesterday, and he had other shopping to do... and he found the two books on IBS from the website I told you about a couple of days ago! For some reason I feel SO reassured to have the books; it seems like I won't have to figure things out by myself with the bits and pieces here and there on the website! And now I have TONS of recipes to cook with that are safe for my tummy! Zucchini cinnamon bread is in the oven right now... smells so good!
Today is quite a normal day, except that I'm sick and tired of all the clutter here and there in the living room and in my office, and of the dust! So it's cleaning and tidying day today! I'm taking a little break to see how you guys are doing and I'll start on my office...
Headaches haven't come back (but DH bought me Tylenol) and so far, IBS has really really been behaving itself; thanks to those amazing guidelines! (sick of eating strangely though... but that will be over tonight!)
Sassy: dear, it seems like my reply ruffled your feathers a little bit. For that, I apologize sincerely. My tone might have been a little mordant. As I wrote, it was not aimed at you, but at the "excuse". You see, my friend has not become suddenly self-focused; she has always been that way, and her DH is the same!
My friend lost a couple of friends after highschool because she simply did not return their calls, postponing all the time, for years sometimes. Not answering the phone while she was alone at home during her teenage and young adult years was her specialty. Yet when I asked her to do something or be there, she was there (sometimes 30-60 minutes late, another specialty, but eh...) but it had to come from me, she rarely offered by herself.
I felt like I had to explain how well I know the life of a typical resident because I didn't want you guys to think that I complained about my friend in a selfish or insensitive way. Indeed, because I know what residency is about, making her remarks about her attitude seemed tricky to me. But I wrote her an email yesterday afternoon and I explained what going through IVF is like. From start to finish. Not in an angry tone, just making her walk a mile in my shoes with words. (in fact I was so satisfied with the result that I sent it to my DH so he would understand even more what it is from my point of view too!) And then I told her what my needs were and why (a note from time to time or a quick message on my voice mail). We'll see how she reacts. I feel much better now.
Macca! Thanks for the cool links! I had a lump in my throat when I watched the slide show... how sweet! I might or might not use it, we'll see... but it's sure handy just in case. And wow, EC tomorrow! Are you excited? You've got a great number of follies, and I wish with all my heart that you'll get plenty of mature eggs that will fertilize well! I hope the procedure will go smoothly; I'll sure be anxious to have news!

Sophie – hun, I’m sorry to hear about your frustrations with regards to the whole friends-business!! I know how hard it is and sooo understand. I personally wouldn’t mention a thing to them (but that is just my opinion!!!) as I think friends either get it from the start or they don’t and never will. I don’t know, its quite a difficult one. having said that, i did make it obvious to my SIL (who i work with) that her insensitive comments hurt me and then told her how i felt and she's been great ever since….dont know if its coz its my first ivf or just coz I’m a quite open person but we have told quite a lot of people as we both have big and also close families and friends who would realise something is going on. i think it all depends on your situation and how well people know you...OMG, I couldn’t stop laughing about your “I got a half-shot of lupron….” I was singing in to see how it fits and I couldn’t stop laughing as it fits so perfectly!!! Hahahahah…

Just a quickie ladies to wish Macca, Cookholmes and Ems all the very best with the EC. It's a busy week for us on this thread - will be thinking of you and hoping it all goes brilliantly.
Can def relate to the useless DH thing, mine came home last night after watching the cricket with his friends - I was asleep but stirred slightly and remembered to ask him to set the alarm for Monday morning coz I had forgotten (I always, always do it!) Guess what - he forgot. How can you forget when you are standing right next to it?!
At 3.30am I work up and just knew he hadn't set it - asked him, sure enough no so have to get up and do it myself. Lights on, I am cross of course - totally wake up and then don't sleep properly for the rest of the night.
Grrrrrrrrrrrr! Not a good start to the week - and all he has done is mumbled sorry and said he was tired, so forgot - jeez. He is tired coz he has been out late 4 nights in a row.

AF arrived yesterday she is normally very light i normally get no pain what so ever well last nite and today she has been really heavy n lumpy and i have terrible cramps and feel sick she was that heavy that ive just got home and have had to change my clothes. Wow, catching up on this thread might be more difficult for me than trying to get pregnant!
After 5 days of some R&R with DH, I'm feeling recharged and more positive. Completed my BCP's and Lupron. Started the Ganirelix and go for my baseline US tomorrow am. Moving along....
Meg12... OMG!!!!!!!!! How awesome to have a natural BFP after trying for so long. I got goosebumps reading your post. You must've been more than shocked. So happy for you.
Shantala... I'm so keeping everything crossed for you to have an early start in February. You so deserve it and are so supportive of everybody on this thread.

Sophie...I hope you've figured out the best way for you to work out your frustrations with your friends. Sounds like you've gotten lots of input on the thread from personal experiences. I have been very lucky regarding my support system even when I chose not to return phone calls after my miscarriage because I just didn't feel like talking. Thankfully they understood.

Sassy...I like your suggestion for the PIO shots. I also found that icing the area for 30 seconds before the shot works wonders. Your idea sounds like more fun though.

Wow, catching up on this thread might be more difficult for me than trying to get pregnant!
After 5 days of some R&R with DH, I'm feeling recharged and more positive. Completed my BCP's and Lupron. Started the Ganirelix and go for my baseline US tomorrow am. Moving along....
Meg12... OMG!!!!!!!!! How awesome to have a natural BFP after trying for so long. I got goosebumps reading your post. You must've been more than shocked. So happy for you.

Lara...Hope your headaches and fatigue are subsiding. I didn't have those side effects, but definitely had a hot flash or 2 or 3 or 4.

Sophie...I hope you've figured out the best way for you to work out your frustrations with your friends. Sounds like you've gotten lots of input on the thread from personal experiences. I have been very lucky regarding my support system even when I chose not to return phone calls after my miscarriage because I just didn't feel like talking. Thankfully they understood.
