Tanya
Keep the faith. It may still be too earlier to register on the HPT. Do not get discouraged.
You did get great news with the insurance. That is Wonderful! They even cover the proceure? Mine only covers meds, US and Bloodwork which does really help but the procedure is not covered. I hope you do not have to use the insurance for a couple years!!! Positive thinking....

Best of Luck to you with your bloodwork on Monday.

Do you think I could drive home after the transfer? I know they tell you NO but whats your thought?

Keep thinking positive.......If you test again keep me posted. I start the POI tomorrow, yuck..

Take Care

Well I will let you all know but it isnt looking good. I did another test today and it too was BFN. I have already got my plans in place for a fresh cycle in the coming months. I am not very hopful at this point in the game. I have been crying all night and I just decided that now is the time to refocus and start over. It is just so hard to grasp....anyway I am feeling better right now and DH is so darn supportive. We are thinking about going with donor sperm next time to see if that helps..the only reason we have to go thru IVF is because of his vasectomy!!! I really wish he hadnt done that-(in a previous marriage) I just want this to work as we all so and I know that I am preaching to the choir.

I would not drive home because they give you valium. Although it isnt much I would still have someone drive you home. It is the safe way to go.
Good luck with your treatment! I am looking forward to hearing positive results.

Hello
Well I got the official BFN today and it was to be expected. I was glad that I took the hpt so that I would have an idea of what to expect. I am working on dusting myself off and moving forward. I dont know what I am going to do next but I have an appt with my RE to talk about the next step.

Thank you for the support and I wish you luck!

Thank you so much. That is the sucky part of trying this IVF stuff...Oh well. Time to move forward right? I think it will be fine. I am going to talk to them and see what the best option is for me right now and the best thing is that I still have hope. That is the thing that keeps me moving...

Damn straight it sucks. I guess we all react differently to the dreaded BFN. Sounds like you are bit like me, just want to keep going with it and keep moving. Each time we try it there is a chance so that's what keeps me going.... Fee

This is my first IVF cycle. My retrival was yesterday (18 eggs) but only 9 mature and only 7 fertilized. Is this a bad ratio? from 18 to 7? [/quote]

I think that is pretty good actually. I mean you really cant expect every single egg to be mature. That is not bad at all. Dont worry about it. You just need one good looking embryo to work. See what the embryologist says about the embryos. That is really more important and even then people get pg with poor quality embies...You did fine! Good Luck.

I am so happy that you are able to get back on the wagon here. I wish you nothing but the best. When is your appointment with Shamma to determine the next step?

Today is my day for the transfer. Need to be there about 10:15...A little nervous. The thawed 3 on Monday so I should know when I get there how many survived.....They told me Tuesday that all three made it thru the night but a lot can change.

This whole thing is crazy but we need to keep the faith!!!

Hang in there and let me know what the next step is for you. have a great weekend.

Thanks Tanya.
However, my doctor and the embryologist lab dont what to tell us the about the quality of the embryos. We dont know how they are developing. They say it is there policy not to comment of that???? Today is my implantation day and I have to decide on doing PGD. I have a quick question about PGD (Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis). Is this recommended. Nor me nor my DH have any history on genetic diseases. However we are both 36 years old. Any recommendations?

ALL three survived...He put in 2 grade A and one grade AB back in. testing on Feb 5th. He was surprised that all there made it to blasts. We can only hope for the best. Had to talk him into putting three back in, he only wanted to put two.

Resting today so everyone have a great day and best of luck with your journeys.
