Hello from New Zealand..newbie here!

Post by Mrs Mac »

Hello there! My name is Nadine. I live in the South Island of New Zealand.

My hubby and I have been trying for 7 years to get pregnant. Last year we FINALLY got into the fertility clinic. It seems that hubby has a very low sperm count, and due to endometriosis, I have ALOT of scarring and only one ovary that works! (Can I get a yahooo)...

Anyway, this year we are supposed to be starting IVF. We are just waiting to hear from the hospital any time now to find out what happens next....I think I have to go in and learn how to give myself injections....

Ya know, I can handle injections...Ive had HUNDREDS of them..but giving myself an injection every day is something else....

I have to admit, Im getting alittle scared now that its getting closer...

Anyway! I was wondering, and this is no biggy - but are there other Kiwis here? If not that is FINE....I am just THRILLED to have found this place! I have a womens group on msn, but none of the women are going thru or about to go thru ivf...so I dont have ANYONE to talk to about this ...

You have NO idea how relieved I am to have found this! Thank you SO MUCH for allowing me to join!

I HOPE to get to know you all soon! Take care, big hugs and STAY STRONG.

Nadine (Mrs Mac) :)

I wish you all the best. I went thru ivf 15 years ago and my daughter will be 15 next month, so yep, anything is possible ;)

mrs mac: Welcome to the forum! You do have fellow kiwis on the board.. although i don't happen to be one of them (not that i wouldn't like to move down there... fab country you have down there, btw!). The ivf process is exciting.. and this is a great place to be. Don't know how i would have survived the last few months without the support of these great ladies! Good luck!
