Hey Nicki, what a great list....so colorful and lively! Thanks for adding me! Dates for me include AF due beg of Feb and then baseline scan, day 3 FSH and start bcp's on CD #3.

Welcome Jenn1979 and Holly! Holly, we met briefly at the IUI girls site too. I did 3 IUI's late last year and sadly none worked. Hope this is the ticket for all of us.

Vicky, I'm doing acu also. My 1st appt is Jan 30th and the 1st visit is $120 and $85 for the next ones. Dr says to have 5-6 sessions prior to ET. I'll do whatever it takes to have my little bundle(s) of joy (even if it takes making myself into a pin cushion).

Shantala, glad your baseline and ET trial went fine. Does that trial feel like an IUI (during the insemination process?) I don't think my RE does that but then again they've seen enough of my cervix already

Hi Nerms, we meet here too! I hope af comes on feb 1 to be right on schedule. Before clomid I was quite irregular.

Hello Lucy, Carbev and Karina! I'm glad to meet all of you!

As for me, I turned 34 today! :? Not too thrilled about it. I feel like I'm in the race for time. Dh and I celebrated with margaritas at a Mexican restaurant. I guess that should be my last alcohol hurrah for now.

Have a good evening everyone (in the US) and good morning to our friends in Europe!

Hi everyone, I am also starting round two of IVF. I did my first IVF in October and it was a BFP. Sadly we M/C at 6 and a half weeks. We are eager to begin the process again although we are a bit more nervous now. We decided to take a break and a vacation before we start again. We are scheduled to start stims on March 4th. I am so glad that there is now a March thread. I know this site and all the wonderful people on here have been great and so supportive. I can't wait to get to know you all and offer any support I can to you all while we go through this together.
Jill

Hello ladies,

Please add me [Amanda] to the list.

I had a failed IVF in July and became obsessed with the boards! I won't have time for that this time--as I am back at work [teacher], but will try to visit and post as much as I can--I love these boards--and saw some familiar names!

Here are my dates---
Jan 19---started aygestin--oral med
Feb 16---start Lupron
Feb 27---Trial Transfer [yep, in USA] (I hate this--not because of pain in Cervix--but because the full bladder deal sucks!!!!)
March 9---begin stims--Repronex and Follistim
Week of March 18---retrieval and transfer!!!!

NICKI You can change your time in your PROFILE--at the bottom it asks which time zone you are in...
Amanda
26, DH--28
Married & TTC 3 yrs.
severe male factor
First IVF July--low BFP that didn't stay that way:(

Anna, happy (belated ) B-Day! I know what you're saying about the age thing and I don't wanna be one of those bores who keep telling you're still so young and blah blah --- but really, 34 is a good age. And not old! I'm glad you and DH got to do sg nice together to celebrate. I, too, am really going to enjoy my wine as long as I can with good conscience - and if I should get lucky and get a BFP, I'll be more than happy to give it up. But for now I'm enjoying my drinks, in moderation of course.

Shantala, great to hear that the scan went well. Sorry about the painful mock transfer but I guess that's why they do it - to find out the best way to do it on d-day. Also, Vicky's experience sounded reassuring.

Caroline, thanks for the vibes - they're sorely needed...

Welcome Jenn! I'm also a complete rookie but already feel at home here - everyone's so great and helpful. I'm sure we can all support each other through the known and the unknown!

Jill, sorry to hear about your m/c. Hopefully this time everything will go as planned and result in a little bundle of joy :) Welcome!

And welcome Amanda, it's so great to have so many lovely ladies here. Our list is growing!

The holiday thing really sucks. I mean, of course we are probably all more than happy to give priority to IVF but it does kind of put a damper on everything else... We wanted to go skiing between AF and downregging, but in the end decided it might be a bit of a financial strain with the treatment. And of course after that there's no chance timewise even. I'm still holding onto hope of a weekend getaway or such but I don't think it's gonna happen. What bothers me is I'm long overdue a visit home (living in the US but originally from Northern Europe) and now cannot go.... but come spring, who knows  At least I have DH here.

Have a great day on the other side of the Atlantic - it's off to bed for us! :D

Welcome Amanda, Jenn and Jill !!!!!!!!!!, I am so happy with the way this thread is growing!!!!

Jen, as per your question, if you start BCP's in mid Feb, then I guess you will start stimming by mid March and ER and ET by end March I guess, so yes, you are on the right track!!!!!

Caroline, yes, I am looking forward to this seminar, to learn a bit more about accu, I will let you know how it goes.

Anna, HAPPY BIRTHDAY (with one day of delay if that is ok  ), I loved the idea of celebrating with Margaritas, since, as you said, we won't be celebrating with Margaritas for a long time (I hope for a year  ). The prices of your acu seem good, I called 2 more places, one told me first visit $225 and the rest $70, and the other first visit $250 and the rest $75, so will see, because the last one is specialized in women and fertility, so maybe will go to that one, or to the very first one (the expensive one) since apparently he is one of the best in the US (according to him, which is very subjective, haha  ).

Jill, sorry about your m/c, the same happened to me, I had my BFP at end of Nov and m/c at 7wks, it is the worst thing that ever happened to me, but now I am looking forward for the next cycle. Good luck to you!!, are you doing FET or fresh cycle?, I am doing FET (have 4 frosties).

Amanda, I understand the being obsessed with the forum, same thing happen to me, it is terrible!!!, for example now I am at work, and have spent the last half hour writing here  , now that I think about it, better get back to work........ :?

Well, girls, see you later!!!!

About the trial transfer, I did have IUI's in the past, it is almost the same except that the catheter is a bit bigger than the one they use for IUI's. I had a bit more discomfort, but as with the IUI's it all depends on who does it and how skilled he/she is.........

Good luck!!

I had the trial transfer with empty bladder because they didn't use the ultrasound for it so it wasn't necessary, but the real transfer was with a full bladder because they do it guided by ultrasound. Having the bladder full also helps to push the uterus backwards so people with funky cervixes like us get corrected that way

Nicky, the list looks great!! You are doing a great job with it and I know we all really appreciate it. :D
Vicki, I am doing a fresh cycle since we do not have any frosties. It was comforting to see your name on this thread as I recognize it from the October buddies.
Well I better get back to work now. I will try to catch up with everyone later. Have a great day!

Jill, yes I remember you too from the Nov06 thread, but did you change your nickname???, because I thought it was you due to your name and dates that you gave, but then I didn't recognize the nickname "jstrandlund", so I tought maybe it wasn't you.....
