wow, that's great news about Meg!!!! thanks vicki for sharing.

update on me - i go on Monday for a 7wk scan to make sure heart is beating. I'm so nervous about it. I'm not really feeling nausous anymore, maybe the prog tabs are helping that. (?) My DD will be 6 on Tuesday so I hope it will be good news. I would hate to be sad on her birthday.

Noodle - I hope you have a nice break. Go shopping, buy something for yourself...

Hi Vicky! I've been okay, just very tired. This whole process has taken a toll and I'm just drained. But, on a good note, the babies are fine. I do have three, and we decided to do selective reduction to twins. It was a hard decision, but we want to two to have a good chance in life. I go in Thurs for an early amnio and then reduce on Saturday. I'm ready to move on and start enjoying this pregnancy!! I haven't enjoyed it yet because of this stress, but hopefully I can start picking out names, clothes, etc after all this is done. We will find out the gender of our twins next Saturday.

How are you feeling? How is Fet going? Are you on any meds??

Suzhan: What's new out there??? I had a scare this morning and was bleeding, but u/s came out find. Hope all is well!

Hey Cinders, so good to hear about you!!!. I am happy that everything is going right. I know it must have been a tough decision the one for the selective reduction, but I am sure you did very good research and made your decision based on that, so I am with you 100%. My cousin had to do that too when she had her IVF 3 years ago, she reduced from 3 to 2, just like you, and now she has the most beautiful babies ever!!!. It was very hard of course, to take the decision, but that's part of life, decisions decisions......I hope everything goes well on your amnio Thursday (today or next Thursday?), and best of luck for Saturday........let us know the gender!!!!

I still haven't started with my FET, waiting for AF....after that I am starting with the BCP's, so probably FET will be by mid/end March....

Cinder--Great to hear from you. How exciting to find out what the sex is/are. I bet you'll be glad to have this weekend over with so you can focus on your pregnancy. How have you been feeling?

I go in for ultra sound tomorrow morning. Really anxious as I'm hoping we'll be able to see a little more this time so I can rest a little easier. I haven't been feeling nauseaus or anything--just really tired and really bloated! I haven't gained any weight, but I sure feel like it. Anyway, I hope things are going well for all!

Hi all...some exciting news on this thread with Meg!

Many congrat's Meg - it's so awesome! Good luck on your scan this morning - let us know what happens! What a wonderful blessing - I'm sure everything will look great today.

Cindy - It sounds like you are relieved to finally be moving forward and so you should be. I think you said you're up to UCLA for the procedures (I too was confused if you meant yesterday or next Thursday but either way it sounds like you are in expert hands.) I don't blame you for wanting to finally feel like you can enjoy your pregnancy and not feel so stressed about it. I can only imagine how hard it's been on you guys. How do you feel otherwise? Still free of the dreaded m/s?

Mia - Hope the FET goes well today (or went well yesterday) - I know it was either yesterday or today! You're officially on the 2ww!

Jovi - how was the ultrasound on Monday? Hope all was well and that you and your little one are doing great.

Vicky - March must seem like an eternity, but it will come quickly! I hope you're doing lots of fun things and pampering yourself during your break. You'll be back in preggo land, I just know it, this spring!

I have my NT scan this afternoon and, as always leading up to the scans, I'm pretty nervous. I feel like this is another big hurdle to get past. I was thrilled to be free of the PIOs last week but now just need to get some good news at this point (although, I've heard we may have to wait some time to get the results from the scan?) My m/s has finally been going away - what a relief (although a kind of scary at first since it's one of the few 'signs' that made me feel preggo.) But, it seems to be pretty normal to start feeling better now, so I'm trying just to enjoy it.

Good luck to everyone with a big day today and tomorrow!

Just got the call from the RE that my bloodwork looks good. Had a horrible morning because the ultrasound tech made a comment about how she figured we'd be able to see the heartbeat today and when we didn't I kind of freaked out. It's hard because I don't really know how far along I am. I mean, I know when my last period was, but the size isn't matching that number (it's about a week or even two behind) so I was stressed out! But, the doctor assured me that she thinks every thing is fine and that we should see a heartbeat next week. That surprised me because I didn't think you saw a heartbeat until 10 weeks or so and I'm only like 6 (or so we think). Uggggh.
This ultrasound is killing me. My mom and I were laughing about how I get myself too worked up---she has 4 children and she only had one ultrasound done for all 4 pregnancies----only had 1 with the last child that is. So I guess it's an issue of too much knowledge is a little dangerous right now. I'm just so afraid that this whole thing is too good to be true. You know, when you want something so bad it's hard to accept when it's finally here. It's like I'm afraid that if I finally acknowledge that everything is going to be all right, the bottom will fall out and my world will explode. Anyway, sorry about that rant.

Suzhan--I'm so glad to hear your pregnancy is going so well. By the way, what's a NT scan? Are you going to find out the sex or wait until the end?

Hiya Meg! I know what you mean about those ultrasounds being agonizing....I was always so nervous before them. You should see a heartbeat via vaginal ultrasound by week 7, but since they don't really know how far along you are, it may be that you're only week 6, so it's just too early for the heartbeat. As long as they saw the fetal pole, sac, yolk, etc. (which it sounds like they did if your doctor thought 'all was fine'), I'm sure it will be! Did they measure anything and give you any idea how far along you were per the ultrasound? Sometimes that helps too. So when's the next scan?

The NT test is a nuchal translucency ultrasound and bloodwork that combines certain blood tests with a measurement of the fluid thickness behind the baby's neck. This gives some indication of how likely the baby might have any kind of problem or chromosome issue (like down's.) Since I'm 38, it's important because it helps decide if I'm high risk and need an amnio....I'm really nervous about it. We've decided not to find out the sex - we both want to hear 'it's a _______' on the magic day and be surprised.

Take care!

Meg - I'm so happy for you. I'm sure you'll get to hear/see the heatbeat at your next scan.

Mia - how are you doing hun? Haven't heard from you in awhile. Where are you at in your cycle?

Cinders - I'm glad you're doing ok and that you have come to peace with your decision. Now, maybe you can relax and enjoy your pg...

I went for my u/s on Monday. I got to hear the heartbeat. The babe is still so small that RE said he wouldn't rate the heartbeat until next scan. I was officially 7wks on Monday but RE said I was measuring 6w4ds. He kept flipping in my file to double check my LMP date so you can imagine I about freaked out. He said it is smaller than what they would like but it could be due to the embrio implanting 2 days later. Needless to say, I have been quiet sad, worrying since Monday. I go back on Feb 5th to scan again. Sometimes I think they give us TOO much info and make us worry for nothing.

Suzhan - Yeah! no more PIO's!!! They are horrible aren't they... I'm still taking the pills. I think at the moment that they are helping me with the ms. I haven't been near as sick as I was with DD at this time. I read somewhere that Prog really helped ms. I also read that it had other great benefits as well: Helps with breastfeeding, children are born with higher IQ's. Who knows?

Ah, the NT is a scary thing! I'll be praying for you! I'm impressed that you're going to hold off on finding out the sex---my DH and I already decided that we'd find out at the soonest possible moment--I'm not good at waiting!

Jovigal--Ultrasounds are the worst, aren't they? It sounds like things are going fine--I know that the baby being a little smaller is fairly common. Try not to worry (geez, I am such a hippocrite! I know that it's impossible not to worry so how about just try not to worry too much???)

Meg, wow, that is great that you have everything already!!. I am with you on the too much info thing, it is terrible, the more you know the more you freak out!!. I have friends that are pregnant that are so happy basically because they have no idea what is going on, haha LOL!!!. As Suzhan said, you should be able to see a HB by week 7 with the vaginal us, better known as "dildocam" ........keep us posted!!!

Suzhan, so great to know that everything is going ok with your pregnancy!!. Yes, as you said, March seems like an eternity!!!!!!, but it will be here before we know it  . I am pampering myself as you well said, eating sushi, drinking wine, and doing all those things that hopefully I won't be able to do in a few months!!!! , hope to see you back in preggo land soon!!!

Jovi, at this early stage is normal to have a couple of days off by us, so probably everything is ok. Keep us posted, I will be thinking about you!!!
