Post by sarita »

Hi,
yesterday I had egg retreival and 7 were retreived, 4 were mature. 4 eggs were ICSIed and one fertilized. Are there any success stories with one embryo transfer.

Thanks

Sarita,

I had the exact same story and I hope you have the same ending I did.

I had eight follicles which gave us five mature eggs. Only two survived the cleaning process. The RE ICSI the two, but only on survived. I was told not to hold out hope. I got back to my life (busier than ever) and managed to forget about the disappointment. Three days before my test date, I started getting sick. I did an HPT and did not believe it. We did several more tests and on Monday morning called my RE. They screamed because they were so excited. They had also given up hope. We suffered through heartbreak, yet God had different plans. I am proud to say I am now just shy of 20 weeks along with our angel. Good luck, I know it is hard, but only takes one!

Hi,
Hope I had the same ending too. But I tested on sunday, Feb 4th, 2 days early as Iam out of town during week and clinic called in and said there is no good news and it was NEGATIVE and told to meet the doctor for post consultation. Feb 4th was my worst day in my life. Though I had only one embryo transferred, Doc said it was grade 1, 8-cell embryo and my lining was good too.
I still didn't get my AF. It was so hard to believe the fact and still in no mood to work or do anything.
Wish you good luck for everyone.

Sarita,

I am praying hard for you. I know how very disappointing it is. Try to relax, it will all come through in the end. Do not feel bad if you need to greive, because you do. It is hard to go through so much and not get what you wanted. I cried for three days and refused to see anyone when they told me I had very little chance. I needed that time to fall apart and eventually get back up.

I wish you the best.
