Meg:oooo, vicodin-induced coma for a few days... not bad!

Fee: i had a dream about you last night (oooo, sounds a bit creepy!). dh and i were out on the town and he handed me a public telephone and said "Fiona is on the phone for you". After chatting for quite some time... not sure about what (and me wondering in that dream-like way how we were paying for this call!), we started talking about how i could get your blue stilettos back to you for your FET that wk. i said "good-bye fiona", and you said "don't call me fiona... i am fee to you"! And that was it. Just weird how bits of our lives end up in our dreams!!!

Hope you all had a great wkend!

Hi Sassy - had a nice w/e thanks. Went to the country races with some friends and had a picnic - v hot . The DH and I went to the coast and camped a couple of nights. Here it was cold and windy and we got soaked and my mobile is now stuffed! So I moaned a fair bit - we did do a good bike ride though (exercise regime in full swing to negate upcoming weight increase from gonal F!) and had some nice meals in the cafes.

Told DH next time we go away, we are going up market - have had enough of camping now. Had my eye on a lovely hotel down there - so he said perhaps for our wedding anniversary -oooh I hope so!

So glad things worked out for you at the w/e - what is your strategy for the 2ww? Let me know if you come up with any inspiration - I have found it so hard in the past. Down regging for me starts on Wed. Sniffing the spray twice a day but at least no injections yet!

Hi to all the other ladies on this thread. Fee - how is your "only very lightly stimming" going?

Hello Ladies!

Well I'm back from an excellent long weekend. Went to see the Pretenders at an outdoor concert last night. Couldn't get anywhere near the stage in the first half. Then a lightning storm struck and an hysterical concert promotor pulled the pin on the show and told us all to go to our cars or we would get struck by lightning. Most of the audience being drunk and stubborn refused to listen and lo and behold the band came back after half an hour. By that stage I had snuck into the VIP section and ended up front row centre being pushed against the fence by thousands of people. Had a damn good time. Good to let the hair down once in a while! Lost my voice though...

Meg, I'm loving your clinic. Valium and Vicodin (is that not that glamorous drug that hollywood stars get addicted to???) Why do i get nothing???

Love your dream Sass, sounds like a scene from a strange movie...Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas perhaps, now that's a strange movie... obviously the shoe thing is pretty important to all of us. We have our priorities 100% right. How's your first 2ww. I imagine it's a lot easier than your last wait for your blast to grow...

Hey Ang, your long weekend sounded great. Had a call from SIL in Melbourne and she reckoned she was freezing. We have just sweltered through over 40 degrees for the past few days...
I'm with you on trying to lose weight before the drugs pack it back on. I managed to lose 3 kg (which is not easy with PCOS) and i can feel it gradually creeping back on with the drugs) Had a blood test today so am hoping that my levels start to rise soon. More waiting.....

Hello to the other ladies popping in, good to see you here.

Hi gals---Sounds like you all had such interesting weekends...I just did a whole bunch of nothing. It's freezing cold here---I think the high today was about 10 degrees. We walked the dog and when we got back flipped on the television--weatherman said with wind chill it was 3 degrees out. So that was great--it was a cold walk to say the least!

We just found out that my SIL had her second child today. She gained 15 pounds during her whole pregnancy. Pretty much hate her

Sassy---I loved your dream about the shoes. I'm seriously thinking that we all need to get a pair and start wearing them to all of our appointments. Considering I usually wear sweats to my appointments, that would be quite the look.

Sorry to hear about your cell phone, Angie. What a pain. And I hear you about the camping. It can be fun, but somehow I always enjoy a hotel more! I'm an indoor plumbing girl at heart!

And Fee, the concert sounds like great fun. I haven't been to a good live show in forever. Sorry you're stuck in the waiting phase. That kind of seems to be where all three of you are---wish I could do something to make the wait go faster!

Yeah, sweats and stillettos, fabulous! I have to say that I love sweats. If I could live in them I would. I have tried to introduce them as office attire (and tried to increase their acceptability by referring to them as "soft trousers") but I'm fighting a losing battle....You just can't beat an elasticated waist band. Fee

PS sounds damn cold Meg. I don't think I'd be leaving the house in that weather....

I just thought of another Aussie-ism for the US gals - trackie dacks - so our ET attire will be blue stilettos and trackie dacks!

And Meg once you start your expanding baby belly (yay you!) you will also be wearing tracky dacks. :D

Fee - now I know where you are! The sweltering weather and walks by the river gave it away! Ooo! Now I am sounding like a stalker !

Yep, tracky dacks. Trust me, I would also live in them if I could. Luckily, I get to wear scrubs to work, so that's the next best thing.

Fee--soft trousers made me actually laugh out loud. My husband is still looking at me funny

ooooo, i've got it... instead of "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants", it is "The Sisterhood of the Blue Stilettos'... or something like that. Has a certain ring to it! It brings out the "diva" in us! Classy as hell. We may be stripping every few days for loads of people to look up our voodoo... but we are going to do it in style!

Meg-- don't you just love the scrubs??? I had a few pairs that were so soft because they were old (but clean :D ) when i got my hands on them, that they were like light pajamas. ooo, shhhh, don't tell, but i kept a few of the softest pairs, and use them when i need a little extra "comfort". Those tie waistbands will come in handy for you here in a few months!

ok now Angie Sounds like you had a great wkend! ... you start downregging this wk? (i am still confused as i never used synarel... how long do you do that before stimming? You would think i would have picked this up off the boards by now  ).

And Fee... where are you in all this... when is your FET scheduled? heeheehee, also thought "soft trousers" was funny! I guess it is all in how you present things!

ok, here is my strategy this wk... make it go as fast as possible! Beta is next Sunday. I actually am not real anxious, YET. my plan is to not poas. BUT if i do, not to do it until the morning of beta, just so that i can be prepared for a neg. Now, let's see if i can stick to this and avoid the evil hpt  . what is it... "the pathway to he!! is paved with good intentions!

Nice one Ang, tracky dacks. I will second your vote on ET attire. Will I be the first to road test our sexy new ET outfit?? I hope not ( would prefer someone else to be the guinea pig and advise me as to the response)...

Just had my blood test results through, am still baseline after 12 days of very low dose stims so will double the dose and go in for a scan this Friday. this is quite nervewracking, can't help but feeling that there is something wrong with me???( although my sister reckons this is a normal process for stimulated FET)...I wish a Dr would start referring to my progress as "text book". I like the sound of that. What I DON'T like hearing is "you're a tricky one Fiona..." which is what I copped last time.

Despite the fact that I am baseline, I can feel my stomach expanding. gonna have to crack out the fat skirt again...

Yeah I'm from Perth Ang, middle of bloody nowheresville for the rest of you ladies who don't know where that is...

Meg. Glad you like the soft trouser. I really should get into marketing the soft trouser as corporate apparel as a worthy crusade... Lucky you getting to wear scrubs, what colour, they usually seem to be a vibrant blue or green??? Either would be good match for the shoes I'm thinkin'

I am starting to get so confused...On Saturday i went to see my gyno and i was curius about my beta (as its after 12 days of the transfer)...it was 7.9 he said its neither a negative nor a positive....but the issue is I had bled slighly yesterday only one time and then it stopped...and ever since i am scared to go to the toilet (can u imagine....)

So today i have my other test as it should be after 48 hrs of the first.... but the funny part is that since saturday i have a terrrrrribbbblllle flu and i cant take any medicine...

what does that mean...sos

Oops Sass we must have crossed paths. I like the sisterhood idea. Nice to have some semblance of dignity in this most undignified of processes. Mind you, I have so few inhibitions these days I'm thinking of a career change to pole dancer or something of that ilk.

Patie. You are from Dubai??? I really enjoyed the Pretenders. I guess if you like their music you'll have a good time, they are good live that's for sure...Not sure what to think about what your dr said. Not a positive and not a negative????What the???? I know how you feel about being too scared to go to the toilet... If it's any comfort to you I think a lot of ladies have some bleeding and have BFPs. Not long to go now until you find out, fingers crossed for you! Fee

Patie--I agree with Fee in that I'm totally confused by your doctor. How can it be neither positive nor negative? That's like saying you're just a little bit pregnant...which, by the way is what my husband said to me when I got the positive on the hpt. He looked at me and said, "But we're not really pregnant, right? Just a little pregnant?" Poor guy--our inability to accept the truth is really starting to become a problem! I'm hoping that your beta today is nice and strong and will clear all of this confusion up!

I'm in on the Sisterhood...think that's a great idea. And Fee, no problem about the career change. That might be kind of interesting, although I definitely don't have the upper body strength to pull it off. I'd land in a giant heap on the stage. Grace is not something I have a lot of, so it wouldn't even be an artistic heap. Just an ugly heap. Sigh. Guess I'll never be a pole dancer.

errr, I guess I didn't quite think of the logistics of my proposed career change. I certainly did not think past my new "can do" attitude to nudity and close scrutiny of my privates....Now that you mention it here are some stumbling blocks to my career as pole dancer:

(i) pathetic upper body strength (like you) can't even do one chin up or push up - that rules out any exotic upside down manourvering;

(ii) basic unattractive body shape. Can't think of too many punters who will want to fight their way through my flab to slip a dollor or two into my "thong" (like my use of Americanism??);

(iii) get dizzy quite easily so twirling around may not actually be feasible on an ongoing basis - also could end up in an ugly heap on floor.

Sadly on further reflection it would appear that I will need more than a positive attitude to be successful in my dream career. Way to burst the bubble Meg, thanks a bunchlot. Fee
