Hey,

Nerms, I'm so glad your doctor was able to reassure you. That tech was an idiot for giving you a "diagnosis" without any proper explanation (and apparently without basis, either....) That happened to me too - I had my HSG just before Xmas and the tech looked very serious, showed me the picture and said it looks like a bicornuate uterus and I would probably have severe problems trying to get anything to implant there!! The pic did look kind of like "in two parts" and hey, he's the expert, so I cried all day and night thinking that even IVF will no help me. Then the next morning I had an appointment with my RE, went there desolate and puffy-eyed, and he tells me that the radiologist's "diagnosis" is BS - that there wasn't enough liquid and that's why the pic looked a weird shape, that yes there is a "dent" even after my surgeries but that it was definitely not bicornuate or anything super bad and that I shouldn't worry. Well of course I was ecstatic but very mad at the radiologist - but so was my doctor! They actually contacted the hospital and told them not to talk about things they don't properly understand

Anyhow, sorry for blabbering - just glad to hear that there are no big worries with PCOs with you!

Nicky, good to hear work was a bit better today.

As for AF - I've had all kinds of symptoms for a couple of days and expect it any moment. Spotting and mood swings

The only thing that is kind of weird is how my lower abdomen feels, tiny tugs or something. For a second I actually allowed myself to dream of something else but hey, I think that's just me being scared of the coming IVF and trying to come up with miracles

Nerms, that is so good that your RE was finally able to talk to you about it, I knew it was not going to be anything, that tech should shut his/her mouth

Nicky, glad you had a "stress free" day at work!!!!. Regarding AF, no, still now signs of her, but I am not sure whether I want her to come or not

........you know how we guys have mixed feelings about AF, on the one hand the sooner she comes the sooner I start my FET, but on the other hand one always have that inner hope that a miracle could happen......

Rae, totally understand what you are saying about wanting "miracles", hope you are right though!!

Shantala, good luck tomorrow with your appointment!!!!, let us know how it goes!!!

As far as I go, I have my Acu Seminar tomorrow, so will let you know how that goes, but it is after work, so won't probably have any news until late tomorrow or the next morning.........

Hi,

I would like to join the March thread. I got pregnant on my first attempt at IVF in August of 2006 with twins, however we then found out at our 18 week scan that one of the twins had a heart defect. Everything then kind of went downhill really fast from then. I had to delievery the twins on December 15th at 21 weeks. This was the worst experience of my life. I still have bad days from the loss but can't wait to try again. I have nine frozen embroys from my auaguat IVF and am looking forward to starting a FET cycle on March 1st. Hopefully!! I have an appointment with my doctor to discuss the march cycle at the end of febuary. I'm very nervous about this cycle and really am hoping for another BFP. Does anyone know if your chances on a frozen cycle are better if you already got pregnant from the live cycle?

I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you

Karen, it must have been the worst experience for you but I am glad you have found the strength to come back and try again. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I wish you lots of luck for your coming FET cycle.

Haven't logged on much so I'm trying to catch up with all you guys.

Vicky, I am having my 1st acu appt/session tomorrow too. I am actually excited about it and hopefully it will banish all my stress away (wishful thinking!)

Nicky, my siblings also work in Finance and are always stressed out too. Somehow, I just can't understand them when they explain why because I work in a totally different field--heart surgery. But I think, when it comes to stress, it is all the same as I am stressed out everyday too. Hope it gets better for you!!!!

Hi Vicky, Rae and Nerms---is af making its way for you guys yet....I feel the wicked witch coming any day now. My boobs are so sore and huge (well not that huge)

that I think it's coming any second. Too bad when I was doing IUI's, I thought this is it as far as early pregnancy signs. Guess not!!!!

Holly, I feel for you about friends getting preggers before you. There were 5 girls in our office including me and I started the ttc thing 3 yrs ago. Oh well, everybody has gone on to have their babies with the 4th one due in April and of course I'm the last one still waiting for my moment.

My warm hellos to everyone else. It's quite chilly here in Ohio--10 deg Farenheit....Just can't get quite used to this weather as I'm from the warm tropical regions of the Pacific.

Anna, no AF here yet as I wrote before. My boobs are going through the same as yours

SORE!! I thought after the IUIs etc I'd given up the stupid fretting with these symptoms but no... I cannot even imagine how crazy I'll be during the 2ww following ET...

I'm sorry to inform you that you have an idiot in your midst. Me, that is. I had to drop by the clinic this morning to leave in some paperwork for the IVF and when I was asked about AF, started mumbling something about those tugs in my tummy etc. - and was asked if I wanted to take a blood test, just in case. And I, like a fool, said yes - and am already regretting it. It's like I'm setting myself up for yet another disappointment! AF is even late yet!!! I don't know what made me say anything to them, I should have just kept quiet I guess.

Anyhow, now I'll be stressed out all day. That tiny flutter of hope is just killing me - and I should really be concentrating on the coming tmt

Welcome Karen!!. I am so sorry about what happened to you, but as the other girls said, I am glad you found the strength to come back and have your FET. My story is somehow similar, I had my first IVF in Nov, had a BFP and then m/c at 9wks, was horrible, and now I am going to go for my first FET in March. Regarding your chances on a FET compared to a fresh cycle, it depends a lot on your clinic's experience on each, you can check online at www.sart.org, there you go to "find a clinic" and you can see your clinic's statistics, that will give you a good idea. I heard many different things about it, some people think fresh is better, some others say frozen is better because your body is not so full of the stimulation hormones, and is more at rest, so...who knows!!!. I read of a lot of ladies here who got pregnant with their FET, so I am hoping we are one of those too!!!!

Anna, good luck about your acu appt today!!, let us know how it went.

Regarding my AF, I don't even have symptoms yet

Rae it looks like we both wrote at the same time, so I missed your post. OMG, now I will be stressed out all day waiting for your results too!!!!! hehe. Don't say you are a fool, if you read my post, you'll see we are all a bunch of "hopeful" ladies that want so bad to get pregnant that any little sign of it will be a hope, so I am hoping with you that it will be positive!!!!.
Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee, keep us posted!!!!, GOOD LUCK!!!!

Ah, and I forgot to tell you ladies, I am not going to the acu seminar today

.........talked to DH yesterday, and since it is kind of far away and I already scheduled my first appt for acu with another doctor (not the one giving the seminar), then we figured there was no point in going that far for it........
