oh, i am very impressed!

You know you've been at this too long when...
... you not only know your phlebotomist's name, but know her sick mother's diagnoses.

... you save your "best" trips for IWDGPT (If We Don't Get Pregnant Trips).

... your friends ask you at which cell stage all your embryos stopped growing this time.

... you are planning out the scheduling of your next fresh cycle prior to the ET of this one.

... you carry extra progesterone and estradiol tablets, alcohol swabs and bandaids in your purse at all times.

... you have shot up in a bathroom stall at more than one public event.

... you have carried-on menopur, cetrotide, lupron and gonal-f (along w/needles) on more than one round trip flight for funerals. You could recite the TSA rules and regulations regarding such medications in carry-on luggage.
6 fresh IVFs plus one cancelation

You know you've been at this too long when...

.........you are happy that AF came, so you can start your next cycle.

.........but you are also happy when AF doesn't come, cause you also hope for a miracle.

You know you have been at this too long when...

you call people who draw blood phlebotomists... and when you can direct them to the correct needle gauge, preferred vein and can take over for them on their breaks...

you plan your major wardrobe updates for post cycle as you know DH won't tell you no

you look forward to the rapid weight loss after stopping the PIO shots

your friends and family stop asking how things are going... and just give you a drink.

Sassy - loved the plebotomist reference! my friends had no idea that is what they were called and found it odd that I referred to them by their correct title.... I am not alone!

... the veggie tray in fridge is full of left over meds that you hold on to "just in case" you will need them.

Absolute genius.

We were on half rations of vegetables for a year until I let DH dispose of my meds!! So true!!

Keep up the PMA - this is just what the doctor ordered!

all right, you guys are killin' me! They say laughter helps implantation, so i guess i will have you all to thank if i actually (by some miracle of God , get a bfp!). But that also means i will be cursing you all if the kid is a bugger  . Now, i couldn't let a few of these go by w/o commenting on them... but first... i only have one more to add...

You know you've been at this too long when....
.... asked if a certain date is good for a family vacation 6 months away.. you answer "oh, i don't know, let me look at the schedule and see when i will be cycling that month." (ouch, did that last wk!)

ooo, oooo, oooo, wait, just came up with one more....
... every time you enter RE's waiting room you have an overwhelming urge to disrobe "from the waist down".

All right...

Rachel and vicky: you guys have started that too??? everything big i now view as what part of an IVF fresh would that cover! I thought i was alone in that!

amy: yes, guilty myself of taking advantage of dh's leniency to go clothes shopping after a bust! BUT, what is this about dropping wt fast after PIO? What the???? I want on that train! (i think my pio wt must turn into my "comfort eating" wt!). ok, btw, i got funny looks when i busted out laughing re: dh and the "men's room! (at work). And i am dying to know... did ds actually ask his friends what clinic their mommies went to????

keep 'em coming girls

Brilliant girls - just brilliant

How about you want to avoid knowing looks/winks when you have to stay off the alcohol so you fill up a beer bottle with water and drink out of that!

you know you have been at this to long when

you do handstand after sex hoping those little beggers will get there quicker

you make DH have sex against the wall in the hope they will swim up further

You darent get out of bed after ET and try to shuffle to get the TV romote of the bed side cabinet

Dh has better than all the other fellows out there by not having to use contrception and you never get caught short without any

YOU find yourself biting your tongue and wanting to slap your supposed best friend for saying your trying to hard

you rattle as you walk down the street from all the meds

its the only time we look foward to being fat hoping were pregant

its the only time DH doesnt DH enjoying inflicting pain on you

This thread is awesome!!

Just wanted to add this one...

You know you are at this too long when:

-your coworkers are asking YOU what questions to ask their OB when they are on their second round of Clomid.

- you want to smack those same coworkers because they are whining and complaining about how frustrating it has been TTC for a whole 3 months.

It has been a year for me since going through IVF, and reading this thread has brought back many memories that are very humorous now, although they didn't seem so at the time. Hang in their ladies! I am hoping for the best for all of you!
