Started Injections.....

yesterday, has anyone else started injecting this week? Scans are 21st & 28th November, with EC & ET 1st week in December. I am having treatment with Dr Goswamy/Harley Street as I am a difficult case!!! This is our 3rd attempt and probably our last (unless we freeze any)as we can not keep throwing money at the treatment. My other attempts were unsuccessful, but have taken a year out from IVF, lost weight, much healthier now, so feel really ready to try again. Would love to hear from anyone else in the same boat.

hi sammie i'm due for ec next week all going well with my scan on friday.this is my 2nd try last one failed in may. i'm having icsi.we've decided that after this try we will use the embryos that are frozen and if we are not lucky enough then we will call it aday.i think after 3 trys we have given it a good shot.our life has been on hold for 8 long years.the cost is a big burden on its own never mind the tmt it self.we're having icsi .what tmt you having?hope it all works out for you .good luck and best wishes . cath xx

Hi Hayley - I'm on 0.5mls of Suprecur up until 21st November (being kept on that for an extra week as Dr Goswamy is away) then if everything ok, will go on to 0.25 of Suprecur, + Gonal F. Egg collection/transfer is due to take place around 8th December. What about you? Hope you are finding the injections okay - I'm not bothered by needles, so find it okay. I've got blocked tubes (caused by pelvic surgery as a teenager, so they are scarred - hence I can not get pregnant naturally). Keep in touch and please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions, if I can't answer them, so one on here will be able too. Sam

Hi Sammie - I'm on mercional ( I think thats what it is ) amount 225. I am back at hospital next Wednesday and Friday for scans, hopefully if everything is ok on Friday I will have an idea of when my EC will be. Same as you needles do not bother me but last night injecting for the first time at home on my own was a nightmare, got all paranoid that I had spilt some and had I got all the air bubbles out! What does not help is my dh is terrified of needles, so he is no help at all. When I had first injection on Tuesday at hospital, in my left leg, I got a slight stinging about 20 mins later. Last night injected in right leg but no sensation, does that mean I did something wrong? Sorry to hear about your tubes and surgery. Keep in touch, take care Love Hayley xXx
