Hey there! Thanks for the good luck wishes. ET went well today. A little painful though because not only was my bladder too full, but my ahem (tmi) bowel was to full. fortunately I was allowed to unleash a little liquid before ET. RE said we transfered 2 good looking "big" blasts. I'm already tired of being in bed and have a crick in my neck from looking at the laptop to the side of me. BTW if you have a laptop, for anyone doing bedrest, watching YouTube is a great way to pass the time. search for anything, you'll find it. Tomorrow we'll find out how many embies we have to freeze, if any. I'm craving hot oatmeal, I don't know why, I've been eating it like every other day. DH will kill me if he finds out I went downstairs to make some. maybe he will make some for me when he get's home from work. Test day is Feb 4. :)

I can't believe how far most of you have progressed. seems it was just a few weeks ago we were all cycling together. I'm sending everyone all the best!

Suzhan--

That just happened to a friend of mine and it did straighten itself out. It is quite common. They told her no excersize, sex and no heavy lifting. Most of which you do not want to do pregnant anyhow. Hers was a confirmed case so not sure if that is the same with you. Anyhow, take it easy and it should move on its own. If it does not, it is not determential. They work with it, just limiting for you. Glad to hear you are at the safe part. Do try and embrace all the good and try not to worry. I know easier said than done but worrying will not prevent anything and we work so hard at getting pregnant it is important to enjoy it.

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to say Good Luck to all the ladies in the 2WW and starting their stims.

And big congratulations to Suzhan and Wannababy for the good results with the NT scan. And also to making it past the crucial first trimester. This is excellent news.

I'm pleased I am now in the third trimester and things are starting to look and feel very real. We've bought the nursery furniture and I've started packing my hospital bag and bought our first pack of nappies, wipes, baby clothes this weekend. Finally, my DH and I feel emotionally ready and that physically its the right time to get ready. Still I am praying to be able to keep the babies inside for as long as possible but if they come, we will be ready for them (bar the stupid builders who was supposed to show up today and haven't)......

Lots of love to everyone
Rittie

Hello everyone!

Things are moving along, so I had to do another update, please let me know if there is anything else!

Rittie --- congrats on entering the third trimester. I cannot wait to be there myself! When is your due date?

Emily --- looks like everything is working out for you! Wow! Cannot wait to add another pregnancy to our list! I will definitely keep you in my prayers!!!!!!!! Image

Mia --- welcome to 2ww! I cannot believe you are already testing this Sunday! It all went so fast! Here is to the Halloween babies of 2007 Image

Myhb --- how did your ET go? Hope all is well! Let us know! Image

Sam --- I think you will be the having the first baby on our thread! I cannot wait for that! Image

I am going for a pregnancy massage today, I don't know what to expect. My hubby bought it for me for Christmas. It includes a massage and a facial. Tomorrow, I am going to visit my friend, who does reiki. She can predict the sexes of the babies. She was right about my friend's twins. So we will see, I should know officially on 2/16. I hope they can tell me, since I will be almost 18 weeks by then. It is so exciting!!!

Have a nice day!!! Lola

update

Post by lmsb122003 »

Hi everyone, I just returned from spending two weeks in Italy with my husband who was on his R&R. It was awesome. The day before i left i had my first appt with a perinatologist and they did my 10 week ultrasound vaginally and abdominally that was great. Only thing is they scared me because on Baby B's sac there was a small subchorionic tear. I still was able to totally enjoy our vacation together however dr advised no sex so that was tough. I had my 2nd visit this monday and they did my nuchal ultrasound abdominally and blood work. I cannot believe how much the babies have grown in less than wks. They will do the rest of what they call quad bloodwork in 3 weeks and then i will get my results but the ultrasound measured good on both babies. I am 13 weeks tomorrow according to my previous RE however the perinatologist is measuring me 13 weeks today they are averaging the size of the babies which are about 3 days apart in size. Because my spouse is in the military and i'm older with twins I will be followed the entire time by the Perinatologist and since the ultrasound to determine sex is at 18 weeks and then at 20 weeks they said i would begin every other week appts. Then at 26 weeks they will start my every week appts. I like this i get regular checks and updates so it is going to make me feel much better. Fortunately i have had no morning sickness (which i heard is hereditary and must be because neither did my mom) however i am very hungry and tired all the time. I also even though i have not gained any weight yet have a nice firm little belly that is already showing through my tops and due to my normally thin frame am already having the ligament pains and discomforts. And for the first time last night i awoke with a bad cramp in the calve of my leg. (boy does that hurt) Guess everyone is so different but we all have our ups and downs. My main down is that i am having to go through this without my spouse for the time being however he will return home by the end of April and all will be good.

I wish everyone the best especially the ones in their 2ww i know that is the longest wait ever. Lots of baby dust to you all!

PS my due date is Aug 8 although they say average delivery for twins is around 36-38 weeks.....guess we will just have to wait and see......

lmsb122003- Just wanted to let you know that the leg cramp probably had to do with dehydration. That is what causes those awful painful claf pains in the night. I find them the worst. Drink lots and lots of water!!!

2ww girls- WOW, I am nervous and honeslty feel so good about the two of you. I remember that awful period but know it leads to good things. I am thinking of you daily and was able to make a couple of wishes (due to me looking at the clock at 11:11) and I wished for some BFP's for you. I am not usually superstitious but I did EVERYTHING when I was trying and here I am. Keep ip the PMA and lets those men wait on you hand and foot!!

I am back from AZ. where my mom bought me baby stuff and my family saw my HUGE belly. All becoming real. AZ's warm weather and lower altitude helped me significantly. Just what I needed!!!!!

Lola- I bet Rittie delivers her babies before me as I think we are close and she has twins. Although, my tummy is sooooooooo big (campared to others at my stage) that I am convinced my baby is 20 pounds and therefore ready for delivery.

Hi Ladies - I hope everyone is doing well. I want to thank everyone for their well wishes. You are all the best and it really helps having you in my corner.

Emily - Good luck with your ER tomorrow. This is so exciting! I wish you all of the best and I am sending lots of baby dust your way. I hope 2007 is a good year for all of us.

Sam - Thank your for thinking of me when you made your wishes. I really hope they come true. I am trying to keep up the PMA but I keep comparing how I felt the last time to this time. I know I shouldn't do that but sometimes it is hard. I am glad that you had a nice time in AZ and that the weather agreed with you.

Imsb - Thank your for sending baby dust my way. I hope you are doing well.

Lola - How was the pregnancy massage and facial? Are you also going to get the reiki done as well?

Rittie - That must have been so exciting to buy the nursery furniture and to have to pick two of everything to boot. How are you feeling? Is it getting uncomfortable to do things now?

Mia - I hope you are doing well with your 2WW. Your test day is almost here - just three more days. Here is plenty of baby dust for you. Have you found out how many embies you have left to freeze?

Suzhan - Congrats on the good test results from the NT scan. That must have been so exciting to see the baby moving around. That is so awesome. I hope the morning sickness is getting better.

Wannababy - I hope all is well with you.

Champa - How is this cycle going for you? I hope you are doing well. Please let us know when you get a chance.

As for me, we ended up transferring three because we wanted a greater chance for a BFP due to my age (38 ). During the transfer, one of the embies got stuck on the catheter so the RE had to try again. He jokingly said that this would be the one to give me trouble for the next 16 years. As crazy as this sounds, that is fine by me. I am still drinking lots of fluids to help with the OHSS. I don't think I have a very bad case of it but I am want to be on the safe side. We don't know how many embies they were able to freeze. I think I will wait to find out after I know the results of the pregnancy test. I test on February 6th.

Have a great evening.

Myhb -- great news about your three little ones snuggling in and 2/6 is just around the corner....I'm sending you lots of positive vibes until then!

Mia - posted to you over on the Nov thread too, but good luck on Sunday!

Emily - best wishes for a successful ER tomorrow - it's so exciting you're already to ER! You'll be in the 2ww before you know it!

Sam - glad to hear your AZ trip was so great and how nice of your mom to get you some baby stuff. And thanks for the note on the issue with the placenta...my peri said not to worry about exercise, sex, etc for now because the baby's still too small and he's hopefully at the next ultrasound, the placenta will be up where it should be....if not, then the restrictions begin, I guess (I'm praying I don't end up in that situation!)

lmsb122003 - don't worry too much about the sch - - I had one too and it was fully healed up in a few weeks. At my ultrasound last week, the Dr. said he couldn't see it at all and that was about a month after my RE found it. I'm sure yours will heal up nicely as well.

Lola - so how was the massage? I'm sure it felt awesome. I'm already having some back aches, mainly because of a rule that I'm not supposed to sleep on my back and have to sleep on my side.....this is not working to great for me. If your massage was helpful, maybe I should check into it. Sorry to be dense, but what is reiki?

Rittie - thanks for the good wishes, it seems great to be beyond the 12 week mark I'm not sure when I get to 'officially say' I'm in the second trimester because I keep hearing different things, but for me the 12 week mark has been important in my own mind, so it's great to be past it. Now, I can't wait to get to where you are - the 3rd tri! I bet it is really feeling so close for you, it's super exciting!

I got the results from the combined NT scan and bloodwork today....I'm officially 'negative' on the results....the doctor said my risk of trisomy 21 was 1 in 295 and trisomy 18 was 1 in 10,000. The first seemed still kinda high to me, but she said it's because it's first trimester (????) and when I get my second blood test on 2/23, they'll have a more definitive number? It was a different doctor than who did my scan last week and I didn't really like him much (over the phone anyway) because he didn't really seem to be too clear. Oh well, the bottom line is that they said they consider it to be a negative screen for both down's and the trisomy 21.....

Hope everyone's well otherwise and all my best to the current and soon-to-be 2 ww ladies! xoxoxo

Hello ladies,

I did another update, we have two important testings coming up!!! How exciting! Mia and Mhyb, I wish you all the best, the good news is just around the corner!!!!!

Emily --- good luck with your ER tomorrow, this will be the lucky one! You are in my prayers!

Rittie ---- when is your due date? I cannot wait to do my nursery. Are your babies kicking a lot? When did you start feeling the movements? I am almost 16 weeks, but have not felt any yet... hopefully soon!

Sam --- your family must be so excited! My family is in Europe, so they won't see me pregnant at all. I decided not to fly such long distances now when I am pregnant. I want to go there with the babies this fall....

Suzhan and Myhb --- My pregnancy massage was so great and she even gave me extra 15 minutes to work on my problem area. It felt so good. I am a big deep massage lover and she did it just right. She is nationally certified in pregnancy massage and I was able to lay on my stomach, she has special pillows with a hole for the tummy and a pillow for the boobies. It was so comfortable! I think I am going again soon. Facial is great too, but massage is the best!
I had a reiki done with my friend, my friend was told she is going to have a boy (she is due in March and did not want to know from the doctor, but agreed to do the reiki with me just for fun) and I was told something too, but she did not have strong feelings with me and could not tell for sure, so I am not going to tell you yet. She said to come for another session and I should know from the doctor in two weeks anyway... So I am not going to tell you yet  Suzhan --- reiki is a special form of healing using higher powers, I'd say. They can also ask higher powers about certain things that exist or were existing in the past. She told me my problem is, that I am not a big believer in this, so it is little harder to work on me.. But I think there is something to it, she's had some great results with healing other people...

Have a nice Friday girls! I cannot wait to hear all the news that have coming up this next week! Love Lola

Hi ladies,

Best of luck Mia and Myhb. I will light a candle for you guys this Sunday. My sister has just entered the 2WW so I will keep the 3 of you in my prayers and close to my heart. Can't wait to hear your BFP news :-)

Myhb, I'm doing well. Still working and pretty mobile. The only complaint is night time after dinner when I expand to the size of a whale. And its hard sleeping, other than that, I'm big but not huge and am still bouncing along doing everyday things :-)

Hi Lola, my due date is 30th April. However, as you know being bearer of twins we are not expected to go to a 40 week term. I'm just praying that I will be able to keep the babies in for as long as possible. I'm hoping 37 weeks. Fingers and legs crossed eh? I'll be having my 28 weeks scan on Monday and seeing the consultant on Tuesday. Will let you girls know how that goes, pray for me that everything is ok!! I started feeling whale turns in my belly around 17-18 weeks. Then started feeling slight tapping sensations from around 20 weeks. Now I feel them much more and sometimes there are definite kicks. Twin 1 seem to like kicking my bladder, twin 2 kicks up near my stomach and sometimes its visible on the belly hehehe. Its wicked!!!! My babies don't kick all the time, not sure how that compares. Do report back when you start feeling your babies, I can't wait to hear your news. Lola, your pregnancy massage sounds so dreamy. I wish I could get one too..... hmmm, must look into it pronto!

Hi Suzhan, is the morning sickness settling yet? Hope you are feeling well. Once the sickness calms down you'll have such a high as you'll be feeling well and belly starts to show etc. Enjoy it girlfriend,. this is just around the corner.

Well, our Powertwin buggy has arrived and its absolutely gorgeous. The nursery furniture is arriving today. The builders have started breaking a hole in our roof today. My hospital bad is almost packed. I'm trying not to let everything overhelm me.

Have a lovely weekend girls

Rittie

Hello everyone! I was wondering when you all would be back. this thread was quiet for awhile. Thank you all sooo much for your well wishes and prayers.
My optimism is sky high right now because I was told to continue my PIO after yesterday's BW. With my last 2 BFN cycles i was cut off at this point. so something is definately different with my BW this time. :D only 2 more days until i find out if my hunch is right.

Myhb, best of luck to you on test day! Hope you get a well deserved BFP!

oh boy rittie, you have a lot going over there. sounds very exciting though.

lola, the massage sound wonderful! I will have to remember that later on.

suzhan, your test came back negative. that's good news! I hope your results on the 23rd are all clear as well.

golfrswife, oooo ER today?! hope it well, good luck with ET!

OMG! ok so i just got up while I was typing this because I had to go to the bathroom. well there was this HPT i had from my last 2ww and I said what the heck, why not? well i peed on the stick and I got a faint 2nd line!! it's a faint positive! I can hardly believe it. I need to pinch myself right now. I wasn't expecting to see a positive by now because this is only 7dp6dt. but there is definately a faint line. if it was negative i'd know because i took 5 of these tests last cycle. I was so excited I had to call DH at work and caught him in the middle of a meeting. I still must stay calm and wait for confirmation on sunday.

Sam you are so good at this! you heard her myhb, you too! :D
