Bad back pain with Endo

Post by wannababyIVF »

Hi Everyone, I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this question but I just wanted to know: Does anyone who suffers with ENDO have really bad back pains with cramps and AF? I get really really bad back pains along with regular cramps about a week before my AF and during AF? Is it possible to have ENDO in your back? Or could it be something else?

Hey there! :P

I had severe endo - had bad back pain often - even when I wasn't having a cycle. I also would have severe cramping almost to the point of passing out. My Dr said back pain/hard cramping is common. When I had my laparoscopy done they removed the endo - I also had an ovary stuck to the side wall - which was "pulled away" - but no endo anywhere else. I haven't heard of endo in your back.....but definitely if you have endo back pain is a common symptom.

Take care!

Hi hopeful! :D

Thanks for the reply. Nice to know I'm normal. lol I had to giggle to myself after I typed that. With my current mood swings, I am far from normal.

I can relate to the bad cramps and feeling like you are going to pass out. I get light headed and nauseous at times when the pain is bad. :-(

Question, when you had the endo removed, did your back stop hurting? Did you still have the cramps? (ok, that's two questions  )

Hi there! After I had the endo removed I still had back pain but no severe cramps -but that is mostly because I started a BC shot Depo Provera - then went off the shot when we were considering IVF. I went on the shot at the time because I had endo pain so bad ......and during that time they found out I had IBS (irritable bowel) - I seriously thought I had ovarian cancer or something - I felt sick all the time - I was losing weight really fast - i couldn't eat, sleep.....nothing. After they removed the endo my husband and I just wanted to protect my health so without thinking it all out decided I'd go on the shot and we'd just adopt. So since I went on the Depo I wasn't having any cramping obviously.......but I did continue w/back pain - not as bad....but still did have it.

when I had the "severe" endo, I had pain everywhere, back, shoulder, chest, stomache, you name it. After speaking with a doctor, he discovered I had endo in my diaphram. We were releaved it was there, as we thought it might be in my lungs which means automatic hysterectomy. Anyhow, he said that a lot of endo patients have "associated pain." Meaning I had the endo in my diaphram, but I was feeling it severely in my shoulder. It's kind of weird, and may not make sense, but...
