Hello,
I am pregnant after my first round of IVF/ICSI. I did my beta one day early, at 13DPO and the result was 60, pregesterone 29. My nurse seems hppy with the number, although I keep seeing people with higher numbers. I go for my repeat tomorrow. I just want to enjoy my pregnancy, but I can't help but be scared. Can anyone offer me reassurance? thanks!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! The normal Beta leval range from something like 5-456! What a range!!! I'd suggest just enjoying the positive result and take great care of yourself. You have a little one to keep strong and healthy!!! I'm very happy for you!!!

Bonita--I wish I had some great advice on how to relax and enjoy it. I'm trying too, but it's really hard. I think that it's just natural to worry---after all, we've spent so much more time, effort, energy, thoughts, money, etc into getting pregnant than most women do that it's hard to believe it's actually true. I've found that I just really have to take it day by day---I can't let myself think too far ahead! I'm just enjoying every little thing--like today, I was nauseated so bad thought I was going to throw up! And the freaky thing is, I liked it because I know that's a normal response to pregnancy so it's a good sign.
Anyway, I'm wishing you a very healthy pregnancy and if you figure out how to not worry---let me know!

I got the results of my second beta. it went from 60 on 1/30 and 13DPO to 163 on 16DPO. I can deal with that! No I can relax a bit, but the true test comes next friday for my frist ultrasound!
