How long does it take to get a donor?

Post by saralee »

Does anyone know the average wait time for a donor? Our first appointment with our IVF clinic is February 14. They told me there is a waiting list but wouldn't say more. We're wide open as far as cahracterisitics for our donor. We just want a baby!

If folks could tell me how long they waited ... maybe it would help me be realistic.

I wish I knew where to begin to locate a known donor.

Thanks.

hi i know the wateing list in the citys in australia are 3-5 years but if you can get promishen to advities for one in the papers and baby magzens it can be quiker. if you can get one of your own out side of the doner list.
Its no just you have to be at the top of the list but they also won't the doner to look a littol like you. and your time of your pired to be in line with the doner which for me is a suprises so they don't line one up till the last minites.
evan ad on baby sights but i know you have to clear it whith the doctors be for you do it.
hear you can have 2 go at a doner if they can find one for you. then you have to find one of your own..
if you have 10 pepol repliy to your ad then take them all if you can as to pas the test can be hard, if they are asmer cross them of strat away,
ask the docter of a list of things to look for in your doner.
 this might not sound good but in you ad tell as much about your self as you can eg age how long you have bean trying for why you won't a baby you get more pepol then just saying wonted egg doner..i know.
get active in it to get a doner as the docters can't do anymore then put you on a list.
hope you find some one.
