From what I can tell, I'm due in September. There's some confusion as this was a natural conception after a failed IVF, so my doctor's office seems a little out of sync. I don't think they like it--with IVF you know the basic moment of conception, so they hate my creating confusion. Oh well.

How are you feeling? I'm still kind of in denial...just doesn't feel true, even though I've seen the proof on ultrasound. Waiting for the other shoe to drop, I guess.

Any chance you might have more than one?

Hi Missmolly

I spoke to you on "the other side" last week when I congratulated you on your BFP. I had my pg confirmed same day as you. Like all of you (Meg, Druiett, Kholtan) I can't believe it yet. My expected date by my own estimations is 4th October. Missmolly - any date yet? I have 7 wk scan in 9 days so hopefully will get date confirmed then.

Anyone feeling anxious?

Last week I was overjoyed and shocked but it is slowly turning to paranoia over something bad happening. I know this is natural considering what we've been through but sometimes it terrifies me that something may go wrong. Think I will feel a lot better once (keeping everything crossed) I reach the 12 wk stage. Anyone feel the same?

I completely understand the long 12 week wait. It's hard to put the "What if's" out of our heads but I'm trying awfully hard to do so. I just keep hoping to feel sick or someting so that I have PG symptoms and not just progesterone symptoms. This is a hard wait but nothing compared to the 2ww and a welcome wait at that!

It's so hard! Have you guys told anyone yet? That's the hardest for me---I'm being really selective and only telling those closest to us (will wait for the rest after the magical 12 weeks) but every time I tell anyone I kind of feel sick to my stomach and get the shakes because I'm afraid I just put the "jinx" on us. It's so stupid. Still, when you wait for so long for something like this, I suppose it's normal to fear the worst.

How are you all feeling? I've been really tired and nauseated in the evenings (leave it to me to have morning sickness at 5:00 pm!). Otherwise, I'm okay. I'm really luck since this was a miracle pregnancy and happened naturally I don't have to be on progesterone, so all my symptoms are pg related.

We went in Friday and saw the heartbeat---wait until you guys do that---it really makes you feel better! Best luck!

Meg12~

Morning sickness at 5:00 p.m... ..sounds like a great idea to get out of cooking dinner! I'd take it any time of day just to have a symptom. So far, I'm having a mild case of constipation. . .TMI. . . but true! Other than that I have a very stuffy nose which I hear can last the entire time and I have had a hard time sleeping but I think it's because the shots make me so sore.

We have told a few people but it spread like wild fire!!!! I don't mind because that's just more people to send out some little prayers for us but on the other hand it does make me nervous. When we had our ectopic pregnancy I didn't tell anyone and I was really alone grieving and when people did find out they were hurt I didn't tell them sooner. There is no easy way out of this. Let's just pray we have nothing but celebrating to do!!

I can't wait to hear a heartbeat. For me, I do that on the 22nd. This Friday I check my beta levels again and that will make me feel better as well. Staying positive takes a lot of work!!!!!

Take care~

kholtan--What you said about telling people so you weren't so alone made a lot of sense--makes me feel a little better about the people we have told. I told my grandmother today...man, that was pretty cool!

You will be blown away by the heartbeat. It made my dh cry--really made him realize for the first time that we really are having a baby. And I know what you mean about the beta levels. I have been obsessed with mine. So much so that I didn't even ask last time what mine were because I was driving myself and everyone around me crazy! Oh, and constipation was one of my first symptoms, too. Definitely one of the more annoying ones!

The funniest thing about beta levels is that when I tell my friends that have had children they don't even know what beta levels are half the time. I only knew because of my blood work during my ectopic and previous infertility work but I sometimes feel like it makes me look like a "know-it-all". Not my intention but whe I heard 261 I wanted to scream and it meant nothing to anyone else around me! Funny how we become like little books of infertility knowledge.

It is scary how much more we know than "fertile" women. I mean, I'm not even quite 7 weeks along and I've already had 3 ultrasounds! My mom had 4 kids and didn't have any ultrasounds for the first 3 of us and just 1 at like 5 months for the 4th. Crazy. Sometimes I do think it's too much info, though, as I do have a tendency to really stress every little number. Oh well, just think we got an extra month or so of enjoying being pregnant!

I agree that we may know too much sometimes. Most people live normally and find out at about 3-6 weeks pregnant and all the while they were going about life and activities normally. While I think it's good we got to take PNV's and quit our bad habits prior it's like being PG for over a year. Not complaining but I'm sure going to enjoy that first glass of wine or dangerous adventure. . . not climbing a ladder is dangerous! :D

While we are more prepared I also think Brooke Shields said it best when she said she knew she was ready to have a baby when she didn't just want a baby but she wanted to be a parent. We here in this situation really want it all and we have had the time to really consider what that means. These babies are no accidents but truly planned, desired, and not one of us could picture any part of our lives without them growing beside us. I appreciate the effort and hope it helps me when I'm at the end of my rope. I hope I'll be able to look at that baby when I'm so tired and just remember how much I wanted to do all the right things long before it was born. When we're picking up children from high school that got in trouble I hope the same feeling comes back! :D All in all I hope that the reason I had to struggle to make this dream happen becomes apparent to me one day.
