Multiple attempts with ICSI

Post by Macca8 »

Hi my name is Lisa. I am just about to embark on my third attempt of ICSI. I am extremely nervous but also excited. I was born into a very large family and have 5 sisters and 2 brothers, most of which have produced a total of 19 children between 6 of them. I am the youngest in the family and feel quite a lot of pressure on me. Always the godmother and aunt but never the mother. I have had 2 natural miscarriages with my ex-husband and 2 IVF miscarriages with my present husband. I keep getting pregnant and it appears for no apparent reason, losing them. I am just wondering if anyone finds it as difficult as me to deal with not been able to parent a child. I just can't imagine going through life and not experiencing this. The prospect is daunting.
Any comments are most welcome.

hi there macca8

i totally feel your pain, i am 24 and my husband is 34. i have had 2 failed cycles of ivf with icsi and the pain is unbelievable.

we ran in to horrific difficulties during our cycles of ivf and the whole thing lasted constantly for 13 months, that is appointments, medication etc.... contantly for this huge period of time

when i was little my dream for life was always to get married, live in a lovely cosy house and be a mother.

i gave up a whole year constantly dedicated to IVF and the quest to be a mother when after the whole thing all i am left with is scan photos of the embryos and a broken heart. i am grieving for the what ifs and it is hard to deal with.

following this terrible time i suffered a breakdown, where i suffered with panic attacks and eventually became agoraphobic. i am a strong woman and i am a staff nurse, but this whole thing has been emotionally draining for me and i am so distraught with the idea that i will never ever conceive.

all i want is to be a mummy, and to have a child with my husband and the thought of this never becoming a reality is too much to bear.

i totally understand your pain and i am here for you in any way i can be

with love

Stephanie, sorry to hear your results were negative. May I ask if your DH has a problem with his sperm morphology? Is that why your doing ICSI?

Hi Stephanie,

As you can see I started this topic 2 years ago. You will also notice how blue I was. But I never gave up and I did 5 ICSI attempts and 1 FET. Thankfully I succeeded on my 5th ICSI and I now have 2 4 month old twin boys.

Please don't give up sweetheart. I know if I had of I would never be here now with my beautiful boys.

I wish you loads of luck for the future. Keep the faith in yourself.

Love Lisa X

I know how you feel

Lisa,

I understand how you feel. Ever since I was a kid I wanted to be a homemaker and raise three beautiful children. I met my DH when i was 15y and were married at 20y. I'm 27 now and have been ttc for 2 years. We have gone through two failed IUIs and now are moving on to IVF. I am TERRIFIED that this will not work for us. I was so depressed that the IUIs, I can only imagine the disappointment. Please know that my thoughts are always with you and the others out there like ourselves who want a family.

I know how it felt, before I discovered the natural way on treating infertility. I am a mom too and we are now planning to have our second baby. And I know how stressful being infertility is and now I am 29.And yet I can’t afford to take infertility drugs because I am afraid of their side effects and money tight. As much as possible I would like to use natural method on dealing my infertility. I got luck when my friend introduces to me this http://bit.ly/1lxtMqe.And its working on me. I am now in my 4 months pregnancy.

Hope that this is helpful to you.
