Is anyone attending B'mth / Dorchester (Winterbourne Clinic). If you know anything about this clinic could you let me know.
I'm going to start IVF there soon, and just wandering whether I should have taken more time looking around at other clinics. They have a good % rate, costs about £3500.00 which I think is average.

Hope there are some South Westers out there!!
Hi Jane
My cousin has just had her last scan there half an hour ago and then she is up for EC on Monday to my clinic as she is donteing to me , I have to say that as I was liasing with both clinics I couldnt falt them both. Jackie Coleman is the sister there she seems to have a frosty aproach but overall did a great job at keeping an eye on Mandy for me . she did everything I asked of her , I think Mandy was kept waiting sometimes but lets face it who doesnt at a doctors . The one thing I found strange is that they do Bloods at a different time to scan so you either go up the noght before your scan for your blood test or you go up in the morning then again at night for the scan seems odd as my clinic do it all in the morning then you ring up in the afternoon for results .
Good Luck for your Treatment, What is the £3500 for ICSI?
Trace x

Thanks Trace,
I am really surprised no other people have replied, I was hoping to get lots of info on the clinic. Its good to hear they were responsive to you and your sister. Hope it all goes well for you.
The £3500 is how much I've been told the standard IVF is. Don't think we will need ICSI. We are going tomorrow for a welcome visit and sperm analysis so they should tell us more then.
Thanks again for the message,
From J.

I now have a feeling that I won't be able to stop laughing if I see frosty knickers tomorrow. I think dh is abit worried as it is that they are all going to be overbearing matron type figures. He's got to do his sperm sample thing tomorrow and keeps on jumping from the thought of having a sexy nurse help him or a big bertha matron slapping him on the back and telling him to hurry along!
Yeh, the two clinics are connected. Bit gutted now about the price. having to remortgage as it is. i will check again tomorrow.
Good luck for ec and 2ww. Saw your other message... you must be sooo excited.
From J.
