Hi girls,
Happy New Year to you all.
Hope everyone had a great christmas. We loved it, Kady very rarely wakes before 9am but Christmas morning she woke at 6.30am, i was just planning on giving her some milk and going back to bed for a few hours but noooooo ..... daddy wanted to get up and open pressies, he was like such a big kid. Kady got so much stuff and didn't know what to go for. We done the family rounds until early afternoon, came home and had dinner. We said we'd go back to Michael's parents in the evening, all we wanted to do was flake on the couch but we still went and were absolutely exhausted by the time we came home.

Kady's now 7 1/2 months old and her 2nd tooth is starting to come through. She can stand really well for a good few minutes if you're lightly supporting her and she absolutely loves being in her baby walker. She has mastered the art of going backwards but slowly getting the hang of going forwards. Still no sign of her crawling, she still hates being on her tummy, she won't even roll over. So maybe she won't be a crawler and just go straight to walking.

Our house has never been so noisy, she just doesn't shut up with all her squeals, aaahhs and awawas, i love it, it's like she's having a wee conversation with you. I thought she said mama last week but Michael said he never heard it, just her usual awawas ... maybe he was just saying that coz it wasn't dada

Better go, she's scooted her way over to the tv and is trying to get to the wires on her daddy's xbox 360 controller (she loves helping him press the buttons on it when he's playing a game )

Hi girls,
Don't know if this thread is still active or not as it's been so quiet.
Been a while since i was last on, Kady's 8 1/2 months now and is huge, she could easily pass as a toddler, she's in the same size clothes as my friend's 14 month old (but she's quite small though).
I've had a rough time of it over the last 3 weeks, Kady's been not well with a cold, it hit her quite hard and i was lucky if i got to sleep before 4am. The cold got better and she's teething again, the top ones this time. When her bottom 2 came she was a bit grizzly but not too bad, these ones are murder, she's still up all night crying or wanting to play. One of the top ones broke through the gum a couple days ago and by the looks of it the other isn't too far away.
I feel like a zombie and to top things off i've got Kady's cold too, i've never been this sleep deprived (can't remember the last time i was asleep before 4am), not even when she was tiny as she slept through from about 6-8 weeks old. Her daddy's off at the weekend so i've told him he can sit up all night with her and let me get some sleep, can't see it happening though.
She's now saying dada all the time and can stand up holding on to the couch.
Better go she's now letting me know she's ready for lunch.

Michelle - gret to hear from you. You are the first person on here that I know had a baby from " trying". I wish I had some words of wisdom but I 'm so behind you I dont have any. Just wanted to say hi and keep the thread alive.
Sleep devprivation is the hardest thing to deal with as "energy" is low and you dont feel you are able to be the superwoman you normally are. BUT you ARE superwoman. AND doing a fabbo job.
I hope someone who is going throughteh same thing posts soon, but in the meatime remember, you are an amazing strong person who went through a tough time to get where you are and can get through anything. Good luck with the teeth and cold.

Hello Everyone,

Looks like we are going to give this another try in March. We have one frozen blast so the procedure is not nearly as expensive or intrusive. It would be a miracle if this works again.

Siena is 12 months now and I feel physically and mentally up for making the attempt to have another child.

Glad to hear everyone is well these days. I feel so lucky and blessed so whatever happens is ok with me!

Hi everyone

I seem to struggle more now to get on here to post, than I used to!
I manage to keep up to date and read posts,but normally everytime I try to post a little person is demanding my attention!

Its an amazing journey isnt it, watching them develop. Jenna has been walking now for a couple of months. Shes also started 'dancing' whenever any music is on! Its so funny to watch! I was feeling a bit sad of how quick it has all gone and that she isnt a 'baby' anymore. However there is more things we can do now she is getting older and looking forward to nicer weather so we can spend more time outdoors.

Little P, I have had exactly the same problem with Jenna re drinking water. She will happily drink milk from her cup, but barely takes any water. She doesnt seem to suffer from lack of fluids though and what can you do? Great to hear you are both doing well and so enjoying motherhood.

Michelle, Hope you have managed to catch up on some sleep since you last posted! Jenna is also normally good at sleeping (Think I have forgotten the early days!!) so it hits me hard if she does have an odd restless night! Take care.

Sher, Wow, trying for another eh? I have to say I am a bit envious! We have no frosties and dont think we will be going through it all again. (Worried about getting back on the rollercoaster again as well as not having the finances!). Hope it all goes well and you are soon enjoying another BFP! I will look out for your updates on the general forum.

I could use the encouragement. The early months were tough for me, but I do agree that I miss them. Siena is a year old and still not walking. I'm not worried since I was a late walker myself. She loves music as well and is always getting into the groove.

I am not sure if the second round will work. I sure hope it does since it does cost significantly less and much less preparation. We will see. I am going to try and stay positive. If we didn't have the one blast, I am not sure what our next move would be.

Sounds like everyone is enjoying their babies and we are all so very lucky to experience this joy.

I'm going to leave this forum because it is so tough staying on two and I hope to get and give some encouragement on March buddies.

Sorry it's been so long since I lasted posted. It's so nice to hear everyone's updates on their little ones! It's been a busy year since Meagan was born and it's hard to believe she is 14mo old. She's cruising a lot and letting go of things while standing so walking should be right around the corner. She has all of her teeth in except for the very back molars which I don't think come in until she's 2 or so. She is a beautiful and happy little girl. She eats just about everything we offer her and loves her whole milk. She seems to be ok with water but it's not her favorite. She says about 6 words now which sound wonderful. She does have moments now when she gets upset if she can't play with something she wants like the tv remote, but otherwise she is so happy and smiling all the time. She loves books, magazines - you name it!

We will be trying IVF again in April. I just had a hysteroscopy done last week to remove a polyp in my uterus and have passed all the other tests with flying colors. We did not have any frozen embryos to work with so we will be starting from scratch with medication.

Hi everyone,
Kady's feeling much better now, back to her usual mischevious self. I said in my last post that seeing as Michael was off at the weekend he could do the late night thing with Kady and let me get some sleep, well, the typical thing happened, she went back to sleeping all night (still not asleep til about midnight though but i'm not complaining). I still ended up lying in bed wide awake til after 3 am half expecting her to wake, i am having some nice lie ins though coz she's not waking up until about 10.30am.

Kim and Sher, you mentioned your little ones dancing now, Kady has also started dancing away whenever she hears any music, she will rock back and forwards, move her head side to side and flap her arms. The best was the other day, Michael is a fitness instructor and teaches classes at the gym, so he was going over some of his class music, the song Stop the Rock by Appollo four forty came on and Kady just went crazy. She was in her walker and just started jumping up and down and rocking like mad and was not amused when the song finished, so daddy had to play it again for her, it was so funny.

Cla, good to hear from you and thanks for the words of encouragement, it doesn't matter that as you put it, you're so far behind me, we are all here in the same boat, we are all mummy's now and no matter what the age difference between our little ones we can all learn from each other as they all go through things at their own pace.

Sher and Christine, wishing both good luck in your upcoming treatments.
I'm the same as Kim, no frosties left either.
I would love to have a brother or sister for Kady but we certainly couldn't afford to go through treatment. If it wasn't for the NHS Kady wouldn't be here with us now as i seriously doubt we would have been able to come up with the money to pay for the cycles we had. We are very privileged that we were able to get treatment on the NHS (one of the plus points of living in Scotland). If we had some frosties left we would have been able to have further treatments to use them up but we don't so there's no point in dwelling on it.

Is it just me or does anyone else actually miss being pregnant? Apart from being sick until i was about 28 weeks i loved it. Even now i still sometimes catch myself rubbing my belly without realising i'm doing it and then it clicks and i think, what am i doing, lol.
Well i think i've waffled long enough, this isn't getting any housework done and Kady will probably wake from her nap shortly, so better go.

Hi everyone

Hope you and your little ones are doing ok. I guess you are all the same as me, too busy to get on to post.

Jenna is changing/learning things all the time. She walks very well (Too well for my liking! Im always running after her!) She can now say 'cat' well, 'c' and 'at', 'ta' and does say 'dadee' and 'mamma'. She can also copy us. She loves it when we sing some nursery rhymes and tries to do the actions! 'Incy wincy spider' 'twinkle twinkle little star' and 'round and round the garden'. She is a lot more fun now. Loves most food we give her, apart from salmon for some reason.
We have so many toys, but she seems to ignore most of the modern battery operated noisy ones she has. She loves her wooden blocks and shape sorter, also anything that isnt a toy like doorstops and coasters!
Generally we are all doing well, feel very content and happy with our little family, but just recently 3 women I know (2 very good friends) have all become pregnant (2nd, 3rd and 4th babies!) and I feel a little down about it. Im wondering if its just because they can choose so easily to have children and I cant, rather than me really longing for another child? I then feel really guilty when I read the general forum and see how many treatments some people have to go through, to even have one child (and also so many will never even know the joy of having any children).
Anyway, sorry for waffling on. I am happy and content and feel incredibly blessed. Just cant quite switch off these feelings sometimes.

Hi everyone,
Hope everyone is fine.
Kim, i know what you mean about being too busy to post these days. It seems the older Kady is getting, the less time i have to do anything, i wouldn't change a thing though.

Kady's 10 months now and i'm noticing changes in her every day, she's too smart for her own good at times and quite cheeky with it, lol.
She's got 7 teeth now and trying so hard to pull herself up holding on to the couch.
She's recently learned to clap her hands. Whenever she's done something clever i always clap my hands and say yaaaay clever girl, the other day she started dancing to some music that was playing then she stopped and started clapping and saying yaaaay, it was so cute.
She's starting with her manners already, if she's got something in her hand and wants you to have it, she will hold it out to you and say ta. Also if she wants something you've got she will hold out her hand and say ta or if it's in another part of the room she will point to it and say ta, we are so chuffed at this.
She now gives you kisses and cuddles if you ask for them, this has to be about the best thing ever, it's not just me kissing her anymore, she's giving them back now, i love it.

She had her first ever over night stay at her granny and papa's last weekend. We went out with another couple, it's my first proper night out since before i got pregnant (we'd been out for a meal before but only out a couple hours). I'm not used to drinking anymore and it hit me quite hard. Towards the end of the night i started crying in the pub coz i missed her. Then when we got home our friends came back to ours for a few more drinks, i knocked into one of Kady's toys and the music started playing ... again the tears started flowing. I felt so stupid afterwards but i got through the night and apparently so did Kady, she slept all night and woke at 10am. Her papa said he's never known a baby to sleep so quietly, he was up and down the stairs all morning checking on her coz she was so quiet and then come 10am she woke up (just like i told them she would, you could set a clock by her).
It was good having a night out but i don't think i will be doing it again for a while.

Better go now, a funny smell is wafting this way, nappy change i think.

Sheri - Dont know if you check this forum anymore, but I am monitoring your progress on the general forum and wishing you all the best for another BFP! Hope Siena is keeping you busy on your 2ww (Not too much physically of course!) to keep you going!

Michelle - Arent our little ones funny the way they copy us? And the dancing makes me laugh! Im going to take Jenna to baby ballet classes next term, since she seems to enjoy music so much. Should be fun!
I know what you mean about leaving Kady while you go out. Im the same, I just miss Jenna so much. I dont think she's bothered though! She loves all the fuss she gets from her doting grandparents!
Your pic of Kady is lovely, shes so cute! How do you add it after your posts?

Hi to everyone else. Ive posted recent(ish) pics of Jenna on photobucket. The last ones were when she was a baby, so she has changed a lot! It would be great to see recent pics of your little ones as well!

Hiya Kim,
I've got my own photobucket account, i just resized a photo (i done it to 100x75 pixels so it wasn't too big) uploaded there, copied the image url and then just pasted it into the signature box in my profile. Easy.

I've had a look in the past at the photobucket account everyone here uses, i personally found it a bit of a shambles really, waaaay too many photos in no particular order and a lot of them don't have names so didn't have a clue who they are.
I wanted everyone to see my cheeky wee monkey so thought of doing this instead.
It would be really nice if everyone done this, just a little pic of our little uns in our sigs and update them once in a while, would save scrolling through pages and pages of photos to see new pics of them.

Hi Ladies,

It so very nice to hear how some of you are doing. Isn't it amazing how quickly time is going by for our little ones. Sounds like they are keeping you all very busy. Meagan is 16 months old and almost walking on her own. She's talking a lot though so we figure that's what she is most focused on right now. I'm starting her in a swim program May 1st so that should be fun. She is such a happy little girl who continues to amaze us.

We are midway through doing another try at IVF. I should have the egg retrieval done either Monday or Tuesday. We're not as nervous this time around since we already have our little angel. We are a little nervous about the possibility of twins - but we will cross that bridge if we come to it.

I wish all of the mommies the very best with their angels. Take care all!

wow i am so happy that everyoone is doing so great
our grandaughter just turned 2.
we did her a little party at a indoor water park. she absoultly loved it.

it was so much fun watching her.
