OMG!!!!!!

I can't believe how busy this post is! Just finished reading about everyone but impossible to address each individually. Just wanted to say how great a journey it's been. (YES....even though we "failed" it has been a lesson learned) I have decided to jump back into school and start next week working on becoming an anesthetist. So sometime in the future I may be putting some IVF ladies to sleep for their ER's. Won't have time to keep up all the reading here but please those of you who have the time keep me posted in my personal e-mail at erjumper@hotmail.com. I can't wait to hear all the delivery news coming up soon. Here's to many happy and healthy deliveries!!!!!!!

Lots of hugs :D :D :D :D

Hi all

I just read Dagnys IVF journey and subsequent birth of her daughter. It makes me feel very humble - I thought we had a hard time but it is clear others have a much harder time trying to achieve their dreams....

Kim, I don't think carry twins is any more difficult compared to carrying a singleton in the early stages. I believe this changes as the pregnancy progresses. I don't really think it is anymore difficult because of age as I think a twin pregnancy is harder, no matter what your age. I know there are greater risks with a twin pregnancy but with good constant monitoring (more Dr visits, scans) you can monitor the babies growth and the mothers general health. We have fraternal twins which is a relief as identical twins pose their own set of possible problems which in turn makes it much higher a risk for the babies.

I am not on bed rest just reduced chores. My DH comes grocery shopping with me, does all the floors, bathroom, washing, in fact anything strenuous.....and works full time! I study so that helps pass the time whilst home alone :D

We identified placenta previa at 15 weeks (which is why I bleed)but this is more than likely to change as the belly grows taking the placenta away from the cervix. The placenta of baby B will probaby still be considered to be low lying but this just has to be monitored. The birth will be C - section anyway regardless of the low lying placenta. Hardly have been spotting since then so keeping fingers crossed...

ag817, we transfered three embryos, 1 excellent, 1good/fair and 1 fair/ poor. These were from our donor eggs and the donors age was 23 when she donated. Our first HCG levels at day 14? were around 500 so we thought that it might be a multiple pregnancy and were hoping it was not three

So much happening on this board at the moment I won't address everyones stages. Just to say that I wish you well on your IVF journey and for those testing soon I will say a little prayer for you.

take care

Hello ladies, what a busy thread!
A warm welcome to newbies. Wishing you good luck with your cycles.

Bev, thinking of you and your little one. Hope all is well.

Kat, I'm still here....thanks for thinking of me. Just have had a really busy couple of weeks both at work and socially. The time is flying by and haven't had time to sit down and post properly. All is going well. Our next appointment is on Tuesday, for a check up. Hopefully BP will be Ok! Glad to see all is going according to plan with your cycle. I have everything crossed for you x x

To Caz and all on 2ww. Wishing you loads of luck, hope the days fly by to a BFP. Remember to try and stay away from those evil pee sticks. For those of you who don't know me ...when I did my HPT on test day it showed BFN, then 2 days later when bloodwork came back it showed a HCG of 97, it doubled and now I am 32 weeks pg! It's a roller coaster ride this IVF!!!!!

Lisa, what a strong lady you are. I will miss your posts. Take care and good luck with your studies x

Tammy, how are you? Not long now, hope all is progressing as it should be. Thinking of you x

Yasmin, are you still there?

Take care all, bye for now
Hugs

Hi! Everyone.
This truely is a busy thread. Being new it's hard to keep up with everyone.

Congrats to the ladies who recently received their BFPs!

Caz- passing along some luck as you wait.

Kat-since my last post last week I've done a little investigating on the acu. Looks like we both stumbled onto the same article. Logistically I can not do acu 25m before and after ET. My acu-ist assured me that the day before accomplishes the same result as on the day of. Makes since that the effects would not wear-off overnight, aye. I have a massage already scheduled for the day before ET, I may do acu sameday but after ET. I will probe my acu-ist again on this concept.

Althought, I read the posts throughout the week, regretablly I can only find time on the weekends to reply to the posts. Too bad work gets in the way of my regular life. I never knew how much time I spent at work till this experience. I thought I was working 45-50h a week. My injection schedule clued me in that I work too many hours. I'm having to do nearly all my injections in my office instead of the privacy of my home. I'm nearing the end of my first week of stims. Between acu and self-injections, I'm feeling most like a pin-cushion. I had U/S yesterday and saw lots of antral follicles in both ovaries. Too early to have some racing out to grow up for ER. Have another U/S tomorrow for a looksee. All this week will be full of such appts. Have uped the frequency rate of acu to ward-off any stress incurred from my 60+ h work week. I really need a new life.

Daniel Craig is sweet eye candy, but I rather fancy myself as a Sean Conenry gal

Looking forward to hearning more good news and advice from you wonderful ladies.

babyblue wrote:Ilithyia, two fertilized is great. See, prayers and presistance do work. I am so happy for you. When do you have them transferred? Keep us posted.

Wanda, you will be in my prayers as you start through this IVF cycle.

Geckogirl, That is a terrible thing what happened with your embies in the lab. I know at our age how those few eggs are so precious. One is all it takes (look at Tammy), and with faith, prayer and support, that one will be your little miracle 9 months from now. Keep your head up and above all keep your mind positive. You have to do this for that little embie that is now snuggling in and making its own sweet spot for the next 9 mo.

Tammy, great to hear that all is well. 37 weeks - wow, almost there!

32323, Are you biting your nails yet? After an IVF, the tww is grusome. Only one week to go. Keep us posted on your symptoms.

Bev, CONGRATS on the new baby boy!! Glad to hear you and he came throught it all and well.

Children, Glad to hear that everything is still progressing very well. However, your weight gain (15 lbs) is unbelievable. Did you not crave anything through the 9 mos. or you must be VERY self controlled. You may have to right a book on how not to over gain through pregnancy.

Diane, I forgot to say CONGRATS on the twins due in July. Has it been hard on you carrying twins at 44? I am 46, and my family (parents and in-laws) are so worried about the IVF at my age because of high risk of multiples. DH and I would love multiples, or whatever God gives us. After you had the bleeding at 15 weeks, did they put you to bed the remainder of the pregnancy?

Ellen, CONGRATS on your BFP. Was this your 1st IVF? I'll have to read back a little further and catch up. Take very good care of yourself.

Does anyone experience night sweats from lupron injections? I don't think I noticed this from the lupron on my 1st IVF. I am taking Micro Lupron this time, but I would think the side effects would be the same. This is day 3 of the Micro Lupron and I woke up in the middle of the night last night soaking wet. I know its not the stimms because I just started those this a.m.

Hi yes I did experience the hot flashes from the lupron which I am still on. My flashes and headache started after the first 2 weeks so from day 15 to present which is day 28. I still get flashes and slight headaches but I am also on E2 day 4 so it is subsiding a bit. Wanda

Hi Girls

Well I thinks its over for me today - when wiped this morning was a little red bits mixed in with the messy pessery and from what i can gather red is not good!! Had brown at the beginning of previous 2 bfns?? Will monitor it and take it easy but dont hold out much hope! Am surprisingly quite calm about it.

I really want to thank you all for your support - you are all gems!!
Will keep you all informed with my final result which will probably be a bfn unless a miracle occurs!!
Bye for now
