Deb - please donot panic and think it is over!! A friend of mine who did ivf with icsi in April of last year - her first go - she had slight bleeding at the same stage as you and still had a bfp on test day so please dont give up hope yet - I have even heard through these message boards of people having heavy bleeding and still getting a bfp - this game is so uncertain.
If you want help in reinstating your pma - go to Ferilityfriends website - click on message boards - then - icsi chit chat general for the uk - then go to 2 ww member diaries - then icsi diaries - then scroll down until an april date you will come across Elemnat - The Mothership BFP - it has been written by a friend of mine - as much as being really funny it shoulkd help to reinstate your pma
Please also rest and put your feet up ok!!
LOVE AND HUGS TO YOU - If you cant find it on the website please call me on 01752701506 and I will talk you through getting to it - Good luck.

Deb- I agree with everyone else. Don't give up. I have heard of several girls ivf and natural pregnancies alike that cramp and bleed in their first trimester. It's so hard cause you just never know if which way to take these symptoms. My dr suggests to put yourself on bedrest if I bleed. Does yours? You might even want to call your dr. Maybe they'll let you test early of give you some piece of mind. Good luck and don't give up!
Well girls my test is tomorrow. I just want to get it over with and know once and for all. I have been having cramping or maybe I should say sharp pains with some pressure. They scare me and I've been trying to take it easy. So wish me luck and I'll let you know!
Thanks for your words, I'm trying not to panic just yet. I have just 2 more days to wait and then I'll know for sure. Like I said its nothing heavy, I guess a bit like a very light one or even a slightly heavier spotting (if that makes any sense!)
I've done nothing apart from put my feet up for the last 2 weeks, so I guess another 2 days wont hurt
Caz - I'm going to have a look at that website a bit later on (been summonsed to parents for dinner - ooooh lucky me !!)
Shanny - the very best of luck for tomorrow - let me know how you get on - will be thinking of you
Oh and guess what,,,,, I think hubby has changed his mind - his Sergeant Major has told him he HAS to come for the test with me on Tuesday!
Most of you are probably taking progesterone supplements during the 2WW. The side effects of progesterone include:
* headache
* breast tenderness or pain
* upset stomach
* vomiting
* diarrhea
* constipation
* tiredness
* muscle, joint, or bone pain
* mood swings
* irritability
* excessive worrying
* runny nose
* sneezing
* cough
* vaginal discharge
* problems urinating
Notice that feeling bloated is not one of these. Bloating can result from ovarian stimulation, especially when followed by exposing the ovaries to hCG. hCG is the usual type trigger shot before egg collection. Be sure to tell your doctor about any bloating. Also note that hCG is produced by an implanting embryo and bloating can be induced by an early pregnancy. The type of bloating I am talking about is called OHSS, which can be mild, moderate or severe. It's not a good thing to get OHSS, but it is positively correlated with pregnancy. Early OHSS is just about the only symptom of early pregnancy you can get during the 2WW. If the bloating originates or worsens significantly late in the 2WW, that's a pretty good sign that your little ones are alive and already making trouble for you. It's also something to report to your Dr. immediately. Fortunately, OHSS is rare and not at all necessary to get a BFP. Don't think that the absence of "bloating" means a failure. In fact, if you are in an FET or donor cycle (no ovarian stimulation), OHSS is very unlikely, even with pregnancy.
Most of the other symptoms reported in the 2WW are among the side effects of progesterone listed above.
Keep in mind the embryos are microscopic. If they implant, they will produce hCG to signal your corpus luteum to continue producing progesterone. This always reminds me of an old Dr. Seuss cartoon called "Horton Hears a Who". The hCG is the tiny embryos' way of saying "We're here! We're here!" The corpus luteum hears the signal and remains alive, producing progesterone to hold off menses. hCG is also the molecule that is measured in pregnancy tests. The molecule has two subunits, alpha and beta, and the test actually detects the activity of the beta subunit. Hence it's often called a "beta" or "beta test", but they are testing for hCG produced by the embryo/fetus.
I think its fair to say that everyone experiences different symptoms and different feelings and that no 2 IVF'ers are the same. The symptoms you listed are the 'usual' ones but the list is not conclusive
Perhaps we all feel bloated because we've had quite invasive proceedures over the last 2 weeks. On the other hand perhaps we were just looking for any sign which could mean a positive result for us and at this time, I'm happy going along with those thoughts and dreams until I am told otherwise by the clinic
I think postitive thoughts help - we all need support on this emotional and hard rollercoaster. This website and the friends I have made on here over the last few days have been fantastic

No question about that.
But there are almost no detectable symptoms of early pregnancy in the 2ww, other than possibly the bloating (OHSS) if it comes late in the 2ww like I mentioned. Most of the reported symptoms are side effects of progesterone.
The general lack of symptoms is why we need to test for hCG.
This point has no negative implications for anyone on the 2ww, so I hope none take it that way. Just sit tight and wait for the test. And report any bloating (or rapid weight gain) to your Dr.
Ok Ladies how about trying an old myth (the needle trick) to have a little fun and see if this really works.
I can say I’ve done it with my past pregnancies and w/ friends & it always came out true.
Some of you may have heard about it .. anyway here is what you do put thread through a needle (8-10 inches) & let the needle dangle in the center of your palm .. if it goes back/forth they say it’s a boy .. if it goes in a circle it’s a girl … it if stops and begins again watch out that means possible multiples.
Just thought this would be fun to do! Let’s hear everyone’s feedback
I’ll begin: it went in a circle, stopped then went back/forth
I have a full blown AF so I'm kind of convinced it hasnt worked again
I have to go back to the clinic tomorrow anyway as you have to have the blood test as part of the contract. So I'll either get the BFP or more than likely the BFN tomorrow
I'll let you know how I get on but dont be holding your breath for me
Deb - Sorry af has arrived I know only too well how it feels!! Hoping and praying it doesnt happen to me again - as you can see time is not on my side!! but trying hard to stay positive.
Dont want to get your hopes up but I do know of people on these boards who have had af and still had a BFP - I think its good that your clinic let you have a blood test - mine gets you to do the dreaded pee stick and thats it!! So I will be hoping for you for tomorrow ok. Take care.
Anita - Im up for the needle fun - will let you know how I do!!
