Its nice to know I am not the only one going a little crazy!!! Waiting for the first scan is soooo much worse than the 2ww. I am worried about everything. I had convinced myself that I was having an ectopic the other day! my scan is on the 16th, which seems like an eternity away. The only symptoms I have is tiredness, sore boobs, frequent urination and a strange gastric sensation in my gut. I wish I had morning sickness!!!! It nice to know that are due dates are all so close - I am due around the 2nd October.
Take care

Meg I so know what you mean about jinxing yourself! Every time I tell someone or talk about the "bean" I have to touch wood or something! But I like the idea that the more people that know, the more good wishes they can make to help make the bean "stick"! LOL
Meg how many weeks are you??
We are going for heartbeat scan on Tues 13th - can't wait.
Kholtan you are so right about us knowing so much more. Lots of my friends (who have kids) have admitted they have just tried around the middle of the month but have had no idea of how a cycle works ie ovulation approx 14 days from end of cycle. And yes no idea about the beta!
I have been willing the morning sickness to come - will be 6 wks tomorrow and keep thinking will it just suddenly arrive??
Mismolly you gave me a giggle because I had convinced myself also the other day I ws having an ectopic as started having cramps! I too am stressing over everything!

I know how everyone feels. I am pregnant for the first time in my first cycle of IVF/ICSI. My husband thinks I am crazy because I feel like I can't admit I am pregnant because I am afraid I am going to lose the baby. I am due OCt. 10th. Due to the nature of my job, everyone knows at work because I need their help. My Dh has told everyone. he even told me today he feels like telling everyone he sees. he's so cute. i just keep having this feeling like it's going to just disapear. i can't wait to get to the 12 week mark either. Hopefully then I will feel better.

All the while all I can think about is getting to week 12!!! It's hard to live for 8 months down the road when we have been living appointment to appointment!
I'm due on the 11th so we're only one day apart.

Janine, I have been having a little of that cramping too. My Dr. said it was normal and not to worry. He said to call if it included red blood. It's a bit strange because I have never had a period cramp before but I think it's kind of like that. The progesterone made me bloated so I can't tell what that's from but I'm barely bloated right now at all but I think the cramping is normal. My u/s is the 22nd and I will be asking again.
Here's a personal question if I've ever asked one. . .a little TMI but hey! My Dr. said we could go back to having intercourse after the BFP. Well, I went a few days past that to be careful but now after we have sex, I get cramping. Anyone else? Don't mean to get to personal but it kind of worries me a bit because I know it make the uteris contract. Looking for input here since Dr. ok'ed it.?
Hope everyone is having a great day!

kholtan..You are a good wife....I told my hubby no sex for 9 months...LOL...and i am not kidding...I know its ok but I do not want to do anything to hurt anything...I would think the cramping is normal but have no experience as my hubby is cut off...
Have a good one...I have a call into the nurse to see if all the stuff is normal which I think it is..There is no spotting or anything so I am sure this cramping is normal Wish the 2oth would get here SOON.

I'm afraid if I cut my DH off for nine months he would go into some sort of certain shock! Maybe I ought to try it!
It is important to me that he doesn't feel like second fiddle here. It's very different for everyone but after listenting to friends with children and others who had high risk pg's, I am really trying to be careful that he feels like we are still number one here. I'm sure if I said no sex he would just live with it but he has needs also so I just have to try balance it safely. Other friends have commented on passive resentment and the DH feeling unimportant and so forth and now I guess I'm pretty sensitive to it.
It's so much more than just making it to the BFP. Who knew? SO many things I didn't even think about before and now I'm just spewing questions and worries. So happy to have them!

Hey everyone, I would like to join this thread. I calculated my due date to be Oct 14 based on IVF Egg retrieval date. I am real nervous and cautiously optimistic! I am in my 5th week.
I also have been cramping off and on for a week now. One day at work cramps got pretty intense, but there was no blood so I did not call the nurse, since I read on internet that it is normal. It is really scary because last pg I had m/c. I have been trying for 13 years and if all goes well, this will be our first child.
My first u/s scan is on 21st, and I cannot wait. I just want to hear that everything is O.K.
Nice to join this thread....good luck to everyone!
Skidoo I think you are doing the right thing by calling in as it will put your mind at ease.
Kholtan - I was thinking too about the sex thing so glad you asked. I have heard that intercourse can cause m/c if you have a risk of it so personally dh and I are avoiding it till that magic no.12 week stage then we'll make up for it. My sis in law got jiggy with my bruv at week 17 then had bleeding after it caused by the placenta lying low. She had to avoid sex for quite a few weeks after that. However I have read in some books it is ok to go back to normal straight away. I would go with your gut instinct.
Mismolly congrats on the m/s! I have had nausea in the evening the last 2 days and during day today but no vomit!!

Welcome Rekha! Nice to get to visit with you on this side.
Lis~ From I have read and been told the big O brings the problems, not usually the actual act of intercourse itself but again, everyone is so different. I would have been so scared to be your sis-in-law! EEks! Hope everything went alright for her.
Since we are all so different, I agree with going with your gut instinct. Plus, it's a great way to get out of if some nights when you really are just too tired!

Hope you don't mind that I am crashing your thread. About a year ago I was exactly in your shoes! Got my BFP on 08FEB06 and was due on 16OCT06. My DS came a little early on October 4th.
I thought it was so cute to see this thread going. I've been lurking and reading your posts and it brings back so many memories! It is hard to believe how quickly the time has gone.
Now most of us are over on the "Parents after Treatement" forum and have another thread going "Oct/Nov Babies". It has been so fun to keep in touch with all of the ladies that I went through the IVF and pregnancy with.
Have fun... enjoy your pregancies... try not to worry too much (although, I was the most guilty of this!!!)
