Hi need help metformin this month next month clomid also

Hi dont know where to start.I just had first baby at 36 almost 37.Got pg out of no where New years eve.We have a perfect son 13 year old son.We adopted him we brought him home at 16 hours old.Ther is no difference between them at all the both are miracles.I didnt have a cycle for 17 years had gastric bypass lost 306lbs started 25 days later.and two years later went out had 9 drinks first time in 15 years and well she is the best. she started out twins on died at 8 weeks. well she is 5 months old been tring to get pg for three months no luck ovulation kit always reads neg.Wellsheput me on metformin this month.On clomid also next month.WEll this time i did get egg white looking mucus two chunks but that was it all the other test was neg. so i dont know what to do.I had no mucus that morning than that rechecked and had some .checked a little later nothing none the nrxt day should i have had sex that night well if anyone can help please give me ant tips.thanks !
