I think having cramping and bloating and feelings of fullness is perfectly normal. The uterus is growing and expanding rapidly, so we are bound to feel something. I think as long as there is no blood & the cramping is not causing severe pain then it is a good sign.

I am soooooo hungry. At around 4pm I get so hungry that I think I will cry if I don't get food! Yesterday I got in the car and drove to Burger King (Hungry Jacks here in Australia!) and got a whopper! I NEVER eat things like that. I could not help it - I had to have it. I felt sick afterwards though!!!!!

I felt sick this morning, but did not actually vomit - I came very close!!!!

In regards to sex, I think we are going to wait until after 12 weeks. I have just heard so many conflicting opinions. I am most probably being over-cautious but I can't help it!!!

Not long to go until our scans start happening.

KHOLTAN - HOW TRUE AND WELL SAID!

I'M PRAYING FOR ALL OF US, THIS IS SO DARN SCARY, MY MOM WON'T BELIEVE IT. I HAD TO TELL MY COUSIN I WON'T BE GOING ON THE VOLLEYBALL KITTY FUN NIGHT PLANNED FOR THIS SATURDAY NIGHT (WE HAVE $900) TO SPEND...SHE BEGGED ME TO TELL WHY, SO I BROKE DOWN AND TOLD. THEN SHE CALLED HER MOM, AND HER MOM CALLED MY MOM, THEN MY MOM CALLED ME AND PRETTY MUCH SAID "I THOUGHT YOU WEREN'T TELLING ANYONE CAUSE YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW IF IT'S FOR REAL OR NOT?" I JUST SAID MOM, WHEN A DOCTOR'S OFFICE CALLS AND SAYS IT'S FOR REAL IT'S FOR REAL, NOW ALL WE CAN DO IS PRAY AND WAIT LIKE ANY OTHER EXPECTING MOM, SO IT'S LIKE SHE'S NOT BELIEVING ME SO I'M GLAD I HAVE THIS BOARD FOR ALL THE POSITIVE VIBES!

GOD BLESS AND KEEP BELIEVING EVERYONE!

Hi ladies, and congrats to everyone! A lot of due dates in early Oct!

I got my BFP on Jan 29, was waiting for AF to come to start IVF :) A nice surprise, so! Had a scan today and saw/heard HB for the first time, although it was very slow at this point (according to OB's measurements I'm only 5 weeks 6 days along). So checking that again next week when I see my RE for what I hope is the last time ever :)

As many of you, I'm so nervous. I have a lot of lower back+abdomenal symptoms and feel quite uncomfortable half of the time. I've had a very painful miscarriage so I'm a wreck this time around. Tonight I had my first real bout of nausea, no vomiting though. It was the same last time - no morning sickness in the morning, only in the evening.

Anyway, I hope I can join you and we can share our experiences, hopes and fears. It's good to know that one is not alone. Best of luck everyone!

Oh, and Kholtan, you were asking about sex and cramping. Well, although sex is ok unless otherwise stated by your doctor (=under special circumstances/in a risky situation), I think a good rule of thumb is that if it makes you feel bad, don't do it. This works with other things too: exercise is great for pregnancy but if there's cramping during or after, it's better to ease up or take a break altogether. Your body tells you what is ok and what is not better than any straightforward rule!

Unfortunately for my DH there's not going to be any bedroom fun in this house as long as I'm on the progesterone suppositories. All that mess won't put me in the mood :D

Hi Rae- I just saw your post. I'm new to this forum too and posted on a different thread, but received great feedback from the gals on here. Do you mind me asking you a very personal question?? Our only infertility issue is my DH's morphology level. I was curious what your husbands rate was since you got pregnant naturally. That is so great! We were told we could never get pregnant naturally and are now pregnant with our first ICSI/IVF. His first level was at 0% and then at 1%. Is your husband's higher than that?

Congratulations and lucky you for having to save the cost :).

Hey girls...I had the similar situation, dh has ow morphology 3% and I was told I had high FSH...One RE turned me down and said there was no way they could get me pregnant. No a good answer so me...So we moved on to another one and now look. I believe what is to be is to be. I had one fresh IVF?ICSI cycle with 2 put in nothing, then we did the FET and now I am pregant. I still have 3 in the freezer should something happen. I understand having gone thru a miscarriage myself the nervousness.

Hang in there.....

Hi M, and congratulations on your pregnancy! Of course you can ask me anything :) DH's morphology was 2.7 % so slightly higher than your husband's but still very low. That also affected motility, which was below normal but not atrociously bad. Luckily DH has a great count, my RE said that is important. We were told that IUI could well work for us (but didn't), so RE staid pretty hopeful, saying that he's not too worried. He said he didn't anticipate having to use ICSi for our IVF (that never came). I have read many threads on other forums, though, where people with the same morphology levels (or even a little bit higher) say they have been told it's IVF/ICSI or nothing - the morphology is just too low. I was very nervous about this, but it seems my RE was right in being encouraging - this was my second time getting preg naturally! So at least with these levels it's quite possible after all - and those levels can vary from month to month. Also, acupuncture (with a male infertility-specialized acupuncturist) can increase morphology somewhat - that's what we were going to try next.

Hope all goes well for you know and who knows - maybe there'll be happy surprises in the future!!

Skidoo, I'm glad you were persistent and didn't take no for an answer! Congrats on your FET success - maybe you should give that first RE a call :) Of course your FSH levels also count, but like I said above, it's amazing how many people with low morphology have been told that no way they can get pregnant naturally or with IUI because obviously morphology by itself does not tell the whole story. Of course it makes it harder to succeed, but I think my RE must be right - one natural preg I could count as a miracle, but two is one too many to be a coincidence!

I hope you can enjoy this pregnancy despite the sad memories... I'm having a hard time right now but hope it gets better.

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!! Tonight DH is getting a card from me including our first u/s photo :D (he was out of town on business so missed the sono yesterday). I know he'll be over the moon... I got my gift this morning - personalised M&M candies with our nicknames on them. Awwww...

Wow- thanks you guys for that information. I had done some reading of some clinics here in the US that don't always jump to ICSI with morphology either. My clinic was very adamant about it so this is what we went that route. On one hand I'm glad that we just went for the 'bang' and didn't have to go through many trials, but we obviously paid the bill for that! Who knows, maybe in the future it could happen for us naturally :). Your message has definitely given us hope. We are pretty sure this will be are one and only IVF, so if we fall pregnant naturally in the future, that would be a huge GIFT. Stranger things have happend.

Two times for you? That's great, definitely not just coincidence.

Skidoo- I'm glad you didn't take no for an answer too. Congratulations on falling pregnant :). And if you have some in the freezer your egg quality/reserve can't be all that bad. That is just amazing to me- I wish you could send a picture to that old RE! Well best you didn't go with someone who didn't have any hope for you two and moved on to an RE that did. We had 5 eggs, 3 fertilized. 2 made it to 8 cell and were implanted and one took :). None to freeze-- so this is our little miracle in my belly right now! What a trooper.

Happy V. Day you gals. Rae-- that's a cute V. gift.

Congratulations to all of you on your BFPs!

I had my BFP on a hpt on 6th Feb but have to wait til 2nd March for my 1st scan. My clinic don't do blood tests and the wait for the scan is killing me! I think I've done about 5 tests now ( ) as I am finding it so hard to believe I'm pregnant. Anyone else feel like this? I am so nervous about the scan and just want to know everything's ok.

Hey Ems,

My little test date buddy. I am becoming increasingly nervous. I'm like you I don't believe it sometimes and each day I wake up I think it was just a dream. I dream all the time too that something will go wrong. I know its because of my previous miscarriages that I am like this. Every twinge and cramp I feel I worry it is something wrong.

I found it so easy to stay positive all the way through my 2WW. I look back now and realise that it was a breeze compared to this. I wish I could just relax. I still have 2.5 weeks before scan as my clinic like the baby to be at least 8 weeks before checking for heartbeat.

Am I completely mental????

Lisa honey

If you're mental then so am I!!

I completely understand how you must be feeling. I know I've never gone through what you have but I've had a pretty hard time the last 5 years with being in and out of hospital, operations, treatment (not only IVF) and being told it was unlikely we'd have children, so to be in this position is sometimes so hard to believe.

We've got to stay positive honey - for the sake of our little ones. I am hopeful that things will progress for us nicely and I'm praying every day.

Lots of Love
