Hi Ladies,

Rachel. I am so sorry. I dont know what to say, execpt it is not fair. I wish there was something I could do for you. Please keep your head up and I will be praying for a miracle!

Aunty- You lil ones are lovely. I was also told that my embies were not the best quality due to fragmentations and look at me now! I think I have your way of thinking, let's prove those doctors wrong! I am impatiently awaiting you test date!! You know me always patient!!!! LOL!

Shantala- Glad to see you back around, and I am so happy that your hubby is doing better.

Susette and Bec- Hope you both are managing through this wild weather we are having. The roads were quite slick this morning. I wish I was a kid today as almost every school has off!

Bec- How are you feeling? Hope your lil one is treating you good!

Susette- Hope you have a speedy 2WW!!!

Sophie- Hope you are feeling better today. You are almost there!

OK ladies, back to work for me! Sending Love, Hugs and Baby dust!!

Hi Ladies, Hope you are all okay.

Rachel, i am so sorry, you have been so unlucky. I hope you are able to start again in the not too distant future, Thankfully you have age on your side. Take care, BTW do you get a partial refund as we get 1/2 our money back on a cancelled FET cycle. Then you would have started your pot again.

Druitt, congratulations on the twins,i would dearly love twins, always said i would like twins even before we started this journey.

Shantala, sorry your feelinf so bad, I for one find my AF's more painful when on meds but luckily for me i don't really have bad ones normally. Wrap up and be better soon.love the PMA on the sniffing.

Sophie, glad the flu is just a cold, hope your feeling better soon.

As for me feeling much better, not coughing as much although TMI alert, i had acoughing fit in bed last night and was pleased to know i did not cough out my prog pesseries, so my embies must be fine. feeling a bit achy rather than twingy and no real sore boobs but i have had lower back ache for the past few days so who knows, keeping the PMA though.
We also get a photo of the embies to take home, look kinda funny, but i talk to it every day, crazy i know.

Sorry to all those i;ve missed but my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Good morning ladies!

How are you guys doing? Here, the cold temperature switched to snow! A very lovely day to make an expedition downtown and wait 2-3 hours to get a passeport! ;) I haven't left and I'm already looking forward to be back, lol! I keep thinking about the nice dinner I'll prepare (thanks Sassy for the recipes!) and the merry fire that I will lit before my husband comes back home! *sigh*

Other than that, nothing new on my side!

Rachel: I was really sad to read about your embies... that wait was really a killer for you and it's really to bad it ended in such a painful disappointment. I feel for you, and I really hope that life will provide you with a way to fulfill your dream. *hugs*

Cinny, really do the pros and cons before doing an HPT... at the very beginning of my cycle I, too, thought I would soften the blow by doing an HPT. After looking at what happened for a majority of women here who tried that, and after talking to my pharmacist, I decided not to do it. Your chances of getting a false negative are very high at this point, even the morning of your blood test. If you get a positive, that's amazing and reliable. But if you get a negative, then what? You'll know it's not reliable, so you'll constantly sway between sadness, disappointment, hope, disbelief, anger... From what I've seen here, it will only make you more confused, and that doesn't soften the blow at all, it will only make you even more impatient and stressed to have that more reliable blood test. My two cents.

Shantala Awwwwww sweetie! SO great to have news! I'm sorry to hear that you have bad AF pain... have you called the clinic and asked about it? I'm sure it's only an unpleasant side effect of the meds. They're taking control of your body and natural cycle after all, so your body is bound to rebuff a little bit at times. I'm glad you took some time off and I hope you will get better soon. Stimming is coming! yaaaay! I'm so glad your DH is getting better! I'm sure his darling has something to do in it! :D

As for my PMA... you know, it's all a matter of preparation and will and letting go. You can always appraise situations in many ways. You can view the 2ww as the two weeks from hell or you can view them as the end of a cycle, the letting go part, the part where you no longer have to multiply trips to the clinic, take tons of meds, be monitored to see how you are responding, and so on. To me, it was a relief. I had the impression to go back to a more normal life, even if my life has changed because I can't exercise the way I want, do flamenco, eat or drink certain things... and make love to my sweetheart.

When I treat anxiety, I teach my patients to look at their worries in two ways. If they are worrying about a current problem they have no control over (e.g., I'm bleeding and my pregnancy test is only in two days), or about a problem that might be there in the future but isn't there yet (e.g., my pregnancy test might be negative), I tell them to work on the way they think to change their emotions. Are their thoughts biased? Could there be alternative thoughts that produce more positive emotions? Are they dramatizing? Doing black and white thinking? Are they making conclusions based on unreliable facts or no facts at all? Are they generalizing? And so on.

If the problem is there, tangible, then I teach them a problem solving technique. The point is, and please my dearest, write that down somewhere, it will really help, worrying has NEVER, EVER, solved any problem or prevented any event from happening. Worrying becomes a habit and a pathological one in some cases because it gives these people the illusion that they have control over things that are, in fact, not in their control or very little.

Avoiding your worries systematically is not the solution. Your fears will always keep coming or get worse if you avoid them. Face your real fears, ask yourself what's the worst that could happen and face that fact. Face the fact that it's still not there and that worrying about it won't impact the chances of it happening whatsoever. Solve the problems you can solve and let go of the control you can't have. You'll live a much happier life.

So see, my calm PMA is not that complicated to achieve. I'm not perfect and I worry sometimes, but I address my worries the way I just described. And I've benefited a lot from all the reactions, decisions, attitudes I've seen here. I've observed the women on the forum a great deal and saw very well what awaited me down the road if I followed certain examples (sometimes good things, sometimes not so good things). I suggest you do the same and prepare yourself accordingly. I'm convinced you'll be just fine. We'll all be there to support you through this; you're not alone sweetie.

Sorry for the long rant, but your comment tapped right into my specialty... ;)

Take care ladies, gotta run! Have fun and have a great day! HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Sophie, I love your mind set! Always brings things into perspecive!

Anyways ladies, I wanted to make Tom and Abby a special dinner, but since they are both sick, I thought homemade soup would be better. Does anyone have a soup recipe that is great for those sick-o's!????

Afternoon Ladies,

How is everyone, all good and well i hope xx

Aunty: I havent looked yet at ur babies on photobucket, i dont have the password here at work, but will take a wee peep later, im sure they are beautiful - wonder if any of them look like u haha! An no matter what quality they are - they are YOURS - and they count the same as every other wee baby on here :) I will check in on them later .... I am praying that the pain u had the other day was them settelling in - after all u do have 3 of them, they need more room = more shifting about in ur belly = more pain =

Shantala: Thanks for asking hun, but i wont be starting for a good while yet - we havent even got ourselves on the Private list yet, we have to work out if we can afford it, the last time was expensive enough (as it always is) but this time things are a bit slimmer at the cash bank lol - but we are deff on the NHS list, but thats about a year or so long  Sorry to hear ur under the weather - there nothing worse than migraines, i suffer badley from them - but would only get about 1 or 2 a year, but they last long enuff! Hope ur better soon xx

Christine: Thanks for ur PM - im glad that all is well with Abby, but sorry to hear she is sick again, i dont have no recipies for soup - i usually get mine from a can lol - altho i do make a nice homemade vegtable soup for Sunday

Listen ladies, im sorry for no more personals - but im at work and boss just came back in ....

Happy Valentines day everyone - we are off for a meal tonight (me and DH) to the hotel where we were married at (awww lol) Natasha has her prom (finally) and Gemma is cooking summit for her b/f at home - happy days lol

Hi GIRLS! Happy Valentines Day to you all! We never do much on V Day, as I hate fighting the crowds in the restaurants. One year we did not make reservations, and went out looking for a place to eat. We hit about 8-10 spots, and no openings. We ended up at Sbarro's in the mall (fast food) at about 9:00 pm starving. LOL. Never did that again. So, if you didn't make reservations, DON'T GO OUT! :-)

Rachel, I'm so so so sorry for your loss. I know how devestating it is. I'm hoping and praying for you to be able to try again. My heart aches for you honey, please take care.

ANGE: 10 EMBIES! FREAKIN AMAZING. You go girl! You are definitely the poster child.

ANN: TWINS! YEAHHHHHH! Congratulations! I know your heart is leaping. What a wonderful Valentines Day gift! Who could ask for more. Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy.

AUNTIE: Your blasts look just beautiful to me! They are so darn cute. Like happy little bouncing bubles. I know they are fighting to snuggle in. I definitely think the pains were them making space for all 3 to grow. grow embies grow. stick embies stick. That's my chant.

Shantala: My sono is on the 19th. They took me off of the progesterone, and I started bleeding again. I guess that's normal, but.... When will I ever stop. They said my fibroid looks like it has grown. The sucker hasn't grown in years, why now??? They think maybe it's pressing down through the uterine cavity and causing the bleeding. UGH! Depending on the outcome of the sono, they may have to do surgery to remove it before I can cycle. So... I would not be suprised if they cancel me AGAIN!! in March :-( Good news though. I lost another lb. I only need 4 more to get to IVF goal weight. YEAH! It's been so hard. I actually haven't gone to the gym in 3 days. Now it's coming off. hmmmmmm interesting. Quit exercising, lose weight....... Maybe we've all been doing this wrong all along. :-)

I know I missed some of you. I try so hard to keep up with it all. I don't know how you guys do it. I get on and I have 3 pages of info to read. WHEWWW! Anyway, to anyone I miss happy stimming, transferring, and 2ww's. Have a great VALLY TINES DAY!

janice - cool, the 19th isnt far away at all!! i really hope that they wont have to cancel you again...fingers crossed!!! and fantastic news about the lb you've lost!! way to go my dear!! i cant remember who said it but maybe you going to the gym did just tone you up and turn into muscle rather than make you lose weight!
