Janice...I'd be more than happy to be your inspiration!
Sophie..Honeymoon sounds wonderful! I'd like to go to Italy one day. Will have to be after Great Britain as that is where my mil is from and my husband has family there.
Christine..it's never fun to see someone go to a hospital, but if that's where she'll be safest, then it's a good thing.
My2.... that's great that you have funding for 2 more cycles. Welcome back to the IVF rollercoaster. Sorry your mom doesn't understand. I am my husband's second wife and have raised 4 of his children, so having one of our own is so important to both of us, even though raising his 4 have been quite a challenge.
My update..... Dr. called this afternoon, of the 12 embies, 8 are being PGD tested. He said he didn't know if the 4 perished or just didn't reach the 6 cells they needed to be for testing, that detail wasn't in the embie sitter's report. In any event, he said 8 is great. My ET is scheduled for Saturday at 12:30. The only ick is that I won't know the results of the pgd testing until I get there. Hopefully there are some good ones in the bunch. Praying like crazy!
Thanks so much everyone for keeping me in your prayers and all your well wishes.
ag817. I know.... I saw that on your profile. I sent you a pm the other day, but didn't hear from you. Maybe you didn't see it, or maybe I didn't do it right. I am actually going to The New Hope Center. I did 3 cycles at the Jones Institute several years ago. My Drs. were Oehninger and Dr. Sergio Mausher. I decided to try The New Hope Center because their success rates were a little higher, but mainly because The Jones did not want to use my eggs because I'm 40. or was 39 when I cycled in Oct. They felt I was too old and wanted me to go donor. I didn't need to, as my FSH was very low at 5, and I produced over 28 follicles when I did stimulate. They didn't even want to try o stimulate me. But... I had very good Dr's and nurses when I did go there several years ago. Unfortunately the technology was new, and success rates were much lower than. It was over 16 years ago. I was in my early 20's. Good to hear from you. You're on your tww correct??

oop I just saw this .. I've been seeing Dr. Bocca. I guess their technology has improved since you went. I'm 40 also & from the initial visit she said she didn't see a reason why I would have a problem with the procedure. We'll see tomorrow .. I'm nervous, excited and can't wait for this day to end it's been the longest 2 weeks.
Really, I actually didn't go there this time, but had two friends go and they were told no because they were 40. I called and they said the don't like to treat anyone 40 or over unless it's donor. Interesting...
Yes, their technology has greatly increased since I went there. They are a great clinic. One of the best in the world. How did your stimming go?

How many eggs did they transfer. I know you're soooo excited to go tomorrow. I never heard of Dr. Bocca. My friend did end up going there and used donor. She got pregnant with twins on the first attempt.
