Hi again everyone! To hrobinson-I also have endo. Was only diagnosed in December but appartently I've had it long enough that it's destroying my ovaries and has destroyed my tubes. I dont know how my old Doctor did not pick up on this earlier, I've been through so many tests for infertility and she told me I had fibroids, or polyps,(which I dont!!)... But she never picked up on the endo, and now it has done all this damage. I am 31(DH is 35) and my doc said that my ovaries are that of "someone much older"...... I have a Hydrosalpinx, Lee- that just means I have inflamed, fluid filled tubes. My Doc says(and I have read online) that the fluid can be dangerous to embryos, and cause miscarriage, and prevent implantation, etc ....It has also been shown to reduce IVF success by 50%!! So I am having the proedure to remove my tubes prior to beginning our first cycle. We were supposed to start IVF this month, but I didnt want to leave the hydro and take any chances!! This is too much to go through to leave anything to chance!
We went to a required "medication class" Monday night and it was quite overwhelming. They told us all the specific meds we will be taking, and how to do an injection, and all that fun stuff. I am a little nervous, not about all the medication or shots , but just how I already feel so drained and we havent even started yet! Sounds silly, especially when ladies like mom20 have alrady been through so much! mom20-we will also be using ICSI since DH's morphology was low. That is where we're at for right now...My surgery is scheduled for March 14, and if my timing is right, my April cycle should start around April 21!! I wish everyone the best of luck, health, and babydust as we take this journey together!
