Spotting after FET

Post by Torrie »

Hi. I had my first FET one week ago (Friday, 2/9). Transferred two embryo blasts. I had some brown and pink spotting on Tuesday for about an hour. Last night I started having more pinkish colored spotting that is continuing this morning. Has anyone had a similar experience? It is not heavy like a period, but I'm definitely becoming concerned that this is a sign that the embryos did not stick. I've heard about implantation bleeding, but I think it's probably too late for that? My blood test is in one week on 2/23.

If anyone else has had this experience, I'd love to hear about it.

Thanks!

I did not have any spotting...I would call your clinic. I was told if I had any spotting to put my feet up and relax. Drink plenty of fluids. I wish you luck. I hear it is normal for some people to spot.
Wish you a BFP+++++..Call your clinic so you know going into the weekend.

I spoke with the clinical nurse- she said spotting is not uncommon at this stage and that I should just try to relax and plan to show up for my blood test next Friday. I guess they know what they are talking about, but it's scary regardless. I did not have spotting with my first IVF, which was successful, but also 4 years ago and fresh, not frozen. The FET has been much less emotionally and physically stressful, just hoping it works so that I don't have to go through the whole retrieval process again.

Don't worry,I've had spotting for few days and it's gone.It is not bad unless it's real bleeding, like cycle.Just put your feet up and relax,it is normal.

Thank you, Sanny! I feel much better after reading your comments. My spotting is very light, sometimes not there at all. This waiting process is so stressful! Good luck with your ultra sound!
