Hi Shantala, sorry its making you sneeze, it does start to get the better of you, it becomes very irritating and uncomfortable. As for running out you should be ok, i had 2 bottles and had enough, as you reduce the dose when you start stimming, and you stop completely on trigger day.

Hi Ladies!

I would like to ask you a couple of questions if possible. I was going to do a FET on the 14/2 unfortunaletly the blasocyst didn't make it! My dr. called me the next day so we could discuss what we are going to do next. I was so down that I didn't feel like asking a lot of questions. Anyway, we decided to use the method with the spray. Now I am so curious to what I agreed to. He said that I should stop the estradiol and progesterone suppositories and call when I get my period so we can make an appointment to discuss everything. I have been bleeding since yesterday with regular menstral cramps ( he said I should get it in 2 weeks). My question is: Do I start with the spray 3 weeks after my period? Is the IVF like a 4-5 week process? Is this down regulating? I would really appreciate it if someone could explain the process to me.

i can only speak for the uk and for my clinic but here is what i am doing for my IVF cycle: i started the nasal spray on day 21 of my cycle (day 1 being the first day of bleeding), which, yes, works out 3 weeks later. i then take this nasal spray (which is downregulation) for about 3 weeks and then start stimulating which is in injection form. however, i carry on using the nasal spray but at a reduced dose whilst stimming. i stimm for about 9-12 days and then the eggs are collected as long as i have responded well to the stimm injections. so all in all this takes about 4-5 weeks until egg collection.

i hope that makes sense...please do ask anything more if i havent covered it and i will try and help!

I recall him telling me roughly the same thing, I just don't remember the days.

I responded well to the other protocol- but they recomemded the long one for my next try. I wanted to do the shorter one because I just don't want to wait anymore, but I read that the long protocol has shown superior efficacy (on this website).

no problems at all. i'm glad my protocol rings some bells for you. i'm not surprised that you couldnt really listen when they were telling you all the info...so you are on your period at the moment, arent you? here we phone the clinic on the first day to get everything kickstarted.

Hi Shantala-

I was on estradiol and 5 days before the planned frozen blast transfer started with progesterone suppositories. I stopped everything on the 14th after they called me with the bad news. The next day the dr. called me and said that I will get my period in two weeks and to call the day it begins. I have blood now with cramps (I woke up 5 times last night from the pain)- but it's not the exact same as when I get my period. I am assuming it's from the prog suppositories that I am bleeding now. I even thought that maybe I thought I heard 2 weeks and he said 2 days. I'll call on Monday to ask - just to make sure.

Hi Shantala!

I called the clinc today. They said that it's most likely my period so I guess I start with the spray in 18 days. They also said it might be bleeding from the progesterone. The ony thing is that I don't remember ever getting my period so soon. I just don't want to get my hopes up because if it is my period, that means that I get to do everything sooner.
Let's hope!

mizma - oh, i really hope it is and you can start. not so long ago they were going to start me with my next AF but last minute they managed to start me with my last AF so i really understand what the "wanting to start" feels like!! i will keep my fingers crossed for you!!!

oh, and dont know if ive alredy suggested it but you may wanna join the march thread which has lots of us on there starting tmt in march.
