Haylie,

CONGRATULATIONS !!!!! you have a little fighter there who whats you to be their mummy.

I hope everthing else starts to settle down over the next few weeks and you find a perfect place to call home for you and your little dariling.

Things do get easier and you will become a stronger person for the challanges you have been through over the last few months. I seperated from my x about 7 years ago - it was the hardest thing at the time - but I can say 7 years on that I am a stronger person and I know part of who I am now is a because of the challanges and things that happened at that time. Look after your self and know there is a special and bright future there for you.

Hi All....

Let me start with personals as I haven't done them in a few days.

Haylie.........MY GOD! I got chills and goosebumps reading about your BFP! I am so happy for you and if this is dh's parting gift to you then so be it! You are so strong and you will get through this. Big hugs to you!

Sophie...Your honeymoon plans sound fantastic. I'm so glad you have that to look forward to. BTW.. I can totally relate to feeling something alive inside of you and then not. 2 Days before my 4th beta, I felt different and sure enough, things had gone bad. I chalked it up to my mind playing tricks on me, but I truly believe we have the instincts and know our bodies. Sorry you're having such a bad AF..beotch!

Sassy...you caretaker you. You do it all don't you. I hope DH feels better, I can relate to that whole chest cold thing, although finally getting over my bronchitis. Your poor niece... I know I just freak when my nieces get sick. You're a great Aunty! Help me understand your plans for all those frosties again.

Rachel..Go in there fighting. The squeaky wheel gets results and you need results. Good luck with that! hugs

Janice.. You're the best. Your posts really inspire me and help me keep my PMA, being a role model and all. :D . Sorry to hear it wasn't all good news for your US, but thankfully, it won't intefere with your cycle. Hang in there my friend.

Christine...After reading your post about your ex's wife, I had such a visual in my head of you just pounding her. How insensitive of both of them. Sorry you had to go through that, try and shake it off, they're not worse the negative energy, but ARRRGGGHHHH!

Charlie...How are you doing sweetie?

Shantala..I hope you haven't received anymore insensitive emails regarding the wonderful work you are trying to accomplish in the UK. You seem so wise beyond your years! Hugs!

Susette...Are you hanging in there? Thinking of you.

Fed.. those numbers are outrageous! Any chance there's more than 1??

Aunty... my gosh are you chomping at the bit??? 2 more days. I'm praying so hard for your BFP.

For all your wonderful ladies who felt my pain from Saturday...GROUP HUG! This is such a supportive group of woman and I am thankful everyday I found you all!

Gosh, I'm sorry if I missed anyone, I have been reading all the posts and have switched back on my PMA after Saturday's draining day. I did speak to my Dr. today who said that the fresh embie was a grade 2, and the frozen a grade 3 which isn't great, but had a GES score >75 and a positive EMET Marker which means a higher likelihood for implantation. So 2/3 scores on that one were really good.

On another note... I just finished a book that I thoroughly enjoyed. It's called Waiting for Daisy by Peggy Orenstein. It's about a woman's plight to get pregnant. I just found that so much of what she was feeling was spot on for feelings I have had through all this. I even emailed her. I read alot and have never emailed an author so she must have hit home with me. In any event she wrote me back, and although a famous author ladies... she feels just like we have. She's actually written several books on women's issues.

Anyway time for dinner, going to enjoy my last day of princess status. Back to work tomorrow for me.

hugs,
Ange

AG... I just reread my post and although I thought I wrote a personal to you, I see that I didn't. I hope you are feeling better. It's so hard to deal with the disappointment. I hope you have a good support system and you always have us. hang in there... HUG

I hope someone who has a bit more experience than me can help explain something for me

My blood test on Friday showed my E2 (I think that's what the test was for) level was too high, I had another blood test and scan on Sunday and it had risen again. I was told to stop the perugon but still have my morning jabs (bruselian).

I had another blood test on Monday and they said my E2 level had risen again and was up to 22 and they had to stop it going up any more.
I had another blood test this morning (Tuesday) and they have just called to say it is levelling out a little but still not to take any puregon tonight (I haven't had any since Saturday night).

I am worried my eggs will over ripen before they get a chance to take them out - when I said this to the nurse she said it was a possibility.

She was really unhelpful when I tried to get some more information about where my E2 level should be, what 22 means, what is happening and what the chances are of it all being ok. I just got a feeling she was being cagey because things are going wrong. (it didn’t help that I’m at work and it is hard when others are within earshot – or I would have been a lot more pushy about it)

I'm rather bloated (Haven’t seen my toes for days now !!) and they told me to keep drinking lots of water and have another blood test tomorrow morning.

I though my EC would originally be today (My normal cycle is only 26 days) Does the medication hold off maturation of the eggs? I feel kind of tender - similar to they way I feel the day before I get AF and have felt this way for the last few days .

Can anyone let me know what is going on and if things are able to get back on track at this stage or is the reality that they are going to "over ripen" and we will be back at square 1 again.

If it isn't appropriate to ask these questions here please let me know. I realise that most people in this post have their results or are in the 2ww and I don't want to upset or offend anyone by asking treatment related questions if it is not longer appropriate. Perhaps I should be in the Feb thread??

Thanks for being a listening ear,

Arizonakiwi

Hi Arizona
I'm not the most experienced campaigner but I'll throw my two cents worth in if it helps!!

It sounds like your clinic is doing what I have heard referred to as "coasting" which means that when E2 levels get too high they hold off on the stims and monitor to determine whether egg collection should go ahead.

I am not sure what bruselian is but if it is the "other" shot that you take with your stims it may be the drug that you take to prevent you from ovulating.

I understand that a down side to coasting is that egg quality may suffer a bit if they are left hanging there too long. I think that safety comes first however and priority should be given to avoiding OHSS. It sounds like they are monitoring you to ensure that that doesn't happen (because as I understand it when you have your trigger shot - just before egg collection that can set off OHSS)

Man it p**s me off that the clinic is not helpful, they should be answering all of your questions PRONTO!!!

Don't worry about asking questions, I'm sure no-one minds and there are probably lots of other ladies who will be able to give you some input.

Hang in there and good luck
