Hi ladies. I am so, so sorry for worrying you. I could not get on this site during my maternity leave. My internet connection is wireless and extremely slow and would time out every time I would try to post. I eventually got frustrated and gave up. I have been back at work for a couple of weeks now and am finally getting caught up.

I had a beautiful baby girl on Dec 17! I was due to be induced on the 18th, but my water broke early. After 13 hrs of labor - the baby was not dropping and I had heavy bleeding from my low-lying placenta, so I had an emergency c-section. Layna was 7 lbs 11 oz and 18 3/4" long. Very healthy and alert from the beginning. She is an absolute joy in every way!

I had a few complications after the c-section. First I got an infection and had to go on antibiotics for 10 days. Then, at 7 weeks post-pardum, I had heavy bleeding that required an ambulance trip to the hospital - basically a "scab" covering where the placenta was broke off and all of the blood came out at once - it was very scary but turned out to be a harmless thing. Still a pain to deal with!

I am finally feeling "normal" again and love being a mommy!

Again - sorry I couldn't post for awhile. I miss all of you and look forward to catching up and finding out how all of your little ones are doing!

Congrats LisaB....your precious beanie weighed the same as my 5 yr old daughter when she was born...I'm so happy to hear that everything turned out ok...I know you're busy with new baby and work
