wisconsingal,

You said you have gone through acupunture with your second cycle and I would like to know what the protocal was?
Did you go the acupunturist or he/she used to come to your place?
how much did it cost?
how did you find it?
sorry to bother you by asking these questions, when you need to take rest during your 1st trimester.

thanks

SARITA - DON'T EVER HESITATE TO ASK QUESTIONS - THAT'S WHAT THIS WONDERFUL BOARD IS ALL ABOUT.

THERE WERE ONLY 2 ACUPUNCTURE PEOPLE IN THE YELLOW PAGES IN GREEN BAY, WIS. I WENT W/ THE ONE THAT SAID HE HAD ONE EXPERIENCE WITH INFERTILITY, THE OTHER HAD NONE. MY 1ST APPOINTMENT WAS $85, THE NEXT 3 WERE $65 EACH. THIS WAS ALL DONE BEFORE ER, AND THEN BETWEEN ER & ET. I WOULD HAVE NEVER GONE HAD I NOT SEEN ON THIS BOARD THAT IT WORKED FOR SOME LADIES... AND SINCE THIS WAS MY LAST CHANCE, I WAS WILLING TO TRY ANYTHING, AFTER ALL WHAT'S A FEW MORE NEEDLES? I THINK THERE WAS A FEW IN MY TOES, A FEW IN MY ANKLES, A FEW IN MY LEGS & KNEES, SOME IN MY WRISTS, ELBOWS, STOMACH, FOREHEAD, HEAD, & EARS. THEN HE'D PLAY SOME NICE CHINESE MUSIC AND YOU'D TAKE A NAP FOR AN HOUR. TO BE HONEST AND I MEAN HONEST, I DON'T KNOW IF I FELT ANY DIFFERENT WHEN I LEFT, BUT I TRIED VERY HARD TO TALK MYSELF INTO BEING MORE RELAXED AND LESS WORRIED, BECAUSE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE PURPOSE OF THIS WHOLE PROCEDURE! SO WAS IT MENTAL OR PHYSICAL HELP FOR ME, ? ? ? ALL I KNOW IS I GOT A BFP FOR THE 1ST TIME. THE FLARE PROTOCAL FOR ME WAS JUST NOT USING LUPRON, EVERYTHING WENT REALLY FAST, AND WE THEN WE ALSO DID A FIVE DAY ET NOT 3, I THINK THAT WAS BECAUSE I'M 41 AND HE WANTED TO MAKE SURE THE BLASTS WERE STRONG ENOUGH SO WE PUT 2 (4) CELL BACK IN, AND FROZE (2).

HOPE THAT HELPS!

needle trick

Post by ag817 »

Hi Everyone ~~ Happy Monday

Count down for a lot of us on the 2WW (YEAH)

Ok Ladies how about trying an old myth (the needle trick) to have a little fun and see if this really works.

I can say I’ve done it with my past pregnancies and w/ friends & it always came out true.

Some of you may have heard about it .. anyway here is what you do put thread through a needle (8-10 inches) & let the needle dangle in the center of your palm .. if it goes back/forth they say it’s a boy .. if it goes in a circle it’s a girl … it if stops and begins again watch out that means possible multiples.

Just thought this would be fun to do!  Let’s hear everyone’s feedback

I’ll begin: it went in a circle, stopped then went back/forth

Hello Ladies,

Can I join the 2ww thread. This is my first IVF , my pregnancy test is also due on February 16, I'm all nervous, I have some cramping like period that comes and goes. Could it be from implantation cramps? I hope so.....:)
I hope that all the ladies on this thread will get a bfp.
Age815, I tried the needle trick with me friends when we were teenagers, I will try it again for the fun of it.

Congratulations to those of you who have stuck out the tww and gotten BFPs!!!!!!!!!!! I have my test on Wednesday and I really don't think I can wait until then. (It's sunday night...) It's all I can think about 24/7! These have been the longest 2 weeks of my life. For those of you who have gotten bfp, did you FEEL pregnant before the test? I don't feel pregnant at all and am worried that means I'm not... Please help, I really feel like I'm losing my mind!!!!!

99,

There are generally no symptoms of implantation at all. The transferred embryos are microscopic. In very rare cases, it can induce OHSS, which you'd certainly notice. But most times, no symptoms. Most of the symptoms patients report on the 2WW are known side effects associated with their meds.

I recall one patient rudely insisting she was not pregnant, because she had no symptoms. She goes by "mommy" now. You just can't tell. That's why we need the test. So don't be discouraged at all by a lack of symptoms.

I know just how you feel! I test tomorrow and am going crazy. I am afraid to take a HPT because I don't know how accurate they are and don't want to get emotional before the definite answer. I don't feel pregnant either. In fact, I feel exactly like I do just before AF. Lots of cramps and sore bbs. I swear if I wasn't taking progesterone I probably would have gotten my period a few days ago. I am super emotional too - spent most of the day Saturday crying because I just know it is a BFN for me. I am trying to stay positive but it is just soooooo hard! Hang in there A lot of us are all testing this week and feel just the same as you. Lots of the ladies on this board have wonderful advice and answers for questions as well. Good luck and stay strong!

Thank you two so so much. I feel like my period is about to start too... My boobs are definetly bigger which I know is a sign of pregnancy but they also do that right around this time every month so I'm not seeing that as a pg sign... Good luck on your test today!!!!!!!! Keep us posted.

Beca,

I started this journey taking my BBT..... unless you take it regularly, it is hard to gauge whether your temp has dropped or not.

To be honest, I still have to compare past charts to see where I am at in any given cycle.

It's not over. :D

I am making myself crazy too with the 2ww. It is so hard.... my beta is not til 3/1, but I am going to (and have been :D ) poas'ing. AF is due on Sunday.

Hi Guys,

I wish I could join all the ladies getting BFPs this month but it wasn't in the cards for me. Hopefully we will start again soon.

I with you all the best with your IVF cycles!
