I'm new to the forum so I'm sure my question is redundant. Are there discussions about specific doctors and clinics? Anyone live in the Philadelphia area (+ suburbs) and know of any doctor NOT to use?
I am from NJ. I see Dr. Qasim in Edison, NJ. There is another clinic in Palisnboro/Lawerenceville ( delaware Valley OBG & infertility group) Dr.seth derman. Goodluck!
I was seeing a doctor at Jefferson who wasn't being as attentive as I thought he should be so I went to get a second opinion at UPenn and there seems to be quite a difference so far. Apparently, they do 4 times as many IVFs at UPenn and their dedicated team really evaluate your specific situation and take you through everything step by step. They've given me more information in 1 month than I got in a year from my previous doctor. They also tested me for somethings that my previous doctor never asked for so I feel like they're really detail oriented. I don't want to black ball anyone, my point is only that if you're not happy with your doctor, definitely get a second opinion. I also think it's important to find out if they are members of (SART) or (SREI). SART is the primary organization of professionals dedicated to the practice of assisted reproductive technologies (ART) in the United States. SREI Membership requires certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and the subspecialty of Reproductive Endocrinology. http://www.sart.org/ http://www.socrei.org/
