Geckogirl,
I am SO SORRY to hear your news. :(
I hope you guys decide to try again. Sounds like the martini and Thai food is cheering you up :D You deserve it. You've been through a lot lately and again, I'm so sorry it turned out this way for you. Good luck in the future and let us know if you try again!!! Still thinking of you.

Anyone else feel a mess?

Post by philippa WALKER »

Hi

I've just gone through ICSI. Its our first time - we found out in September 2006 that both of us could not have children naturally. Bit of a shock.

Anyjow, 23 eggs were removed, 21 were suitable and 20 have been fertilised

Because my ovaries went into over-drive they have decided to freeze all 20 of them and allow me some time to rest & recover, hopefully having 2 implanted at the end of March if my scan comes through OK.

Not feeling too good at the moment tho. Hot sweats, headaches and dizziness. Just been to the Doctors and they say its just me coming off the fertility drugs - its been over 3 weeks now.

Did anyone else feel this rough??? :?

Happy News!

Post by suezer »

Well I did get my results today afterall. It was positive!! My beta was 243. Friday I go for bloodwork again to make sure it doubles. If it goes well, we will have an ultrasound at the end of next week.

Im obviously thrilled, but don't want to be excited quite yet. We all know its a long road. Bu this is a great first step.

Thank you so much for everones thoughts and prayers,

Wishing you all the best,

Sue

Amy, SS270, & Gecko Girl~
I am sooo sorry to hear about your BFP. I was really pullin for you guys! I hope you are all doing OK. Take this time to load your bodies with all the stuff you weren't able to have the last month (chocolate, etc)!!!!

Amy~
You have an appointment in March, are you going to try again?

Are the rest of you going to try again?
I have to tell you girls, I sure was hoping for better news in this room! I'm not feeling very positive now!

Sue & Alyson~

Sue - I am so happy for your BFP!!! What wonderful news. I hope everything progresses well. Keep us posted.

Amy - I am so sorry about your BFN. I know how hard it is to cope. I feel a little better today (yesterday's martini and Thai food extravaganza helped) but am still so sad. I keep asking myself why I can't make a baby when all my friends needed to do was have dinner and wine with their hubbies (wink, wink)!

I am glad you are going to try again. Do you officially start your cycle on March 7th or is that just the consult? I see my RE on the 15th and am hoping to be scheduled to go again in April. Perhaps we will be cycling at the same time.

Stay strong and keep us posted.

Cramping

Post by nickster »

Sue~
Was a lot of your cramping at night? Did you have that a lot of your 2ww or was it just at the end?
You are the first person I've heard say that. I kept thinking it was strange because I would think I would cramp more when I'm up and moving around. Up until the last day or so that is the only time I would cramp is at night. If I did get to sleep, I would wake up a couple hours later with terrible cramps and back pain. So much so that I usually couldn't go back to sleep for several hours.

Thanks, ladies. I'm pretty sad right now.

Yes, I'm going to try again. I am just having a consult with my RE on March 7th and I'm sure I have to wait at least one AF b/f I can start again.

Geckogirl, let me know when you start again. It'll be great if we start together! I am really questioning why I can't conceive too and my friends just need wine and their DH!! Doesn't make sense. I just want a baby :)

Thanks to everyone for their prayers.

I really can't tell you how sorry I am! You are always so upbeat and sooo good to be positive for everyone else. I was really pulling for you!
You are going to have better luck next time though. April is the month for you!!! I know it's hard but try to stay positive!
