I can't believe there is someone to chat to, I feel I am going through this alone, have been trying for over a year, had blood tests and scans and have been advised not producing progesterone, have tried 2 courses of Clomid (surprised I was put on that straight away) bit nothing happened, I have not had periods for over a year. After many months of not getting anywhere with my docs and feeling very frustrated I have finally got my first consultation with the Assisted Conception Unit tomorrow. I do not know what is going to happen tmwr but hope there is someone who I can talk to, My husband and family have been fantastic and so supportive but I feel so alone and so scared. I feel I have gone through the angry stage as to why me but now I feel that I am letting things get to me, is this normal?
Thanks
Lyndsey
Hiya Lyndsey,
Welcome to the site, all the ladies here are very friendly and will help out in any way they can, they have answered my questions and worries and help put my mind at ease as i'm really new to this aswell but i know exactly how you are feeling, family and friends have been great, very supportive but they just don't know how it feels to go through this. We had our first consultation at the ACU in Glasgow in July and that was after 3 years of my Fiance going though all sorts of tests. I was a nervous wreck not knowing what to expect. It was basically straight forward, they just took a few details, told us straight off that due to my Fiance's condition we'd have to have ICSI and told us the basics about it, took some bloods and urine and that was it. Since then the follow up appointments have come through thick and fast and we just got told last week our treatment will begin in the summer.
If you ever need to know any info about the whole process just come here and ask, i've found the ladies here more informative than the actual doctors as they have been throught it themselves and can explain in terms that even a newbie like myself could understand.
Take care and wishing you all the best,
Lots of love

Michelle
xxx
