evening ladies,

vicky - a chocolate lab, oh so cute - if I was able to have a dog that is exactly what I would have.....they look so yummy.

Sorry to hear that your cycle has been cancelled - looks like we shall all be jigging again for you.... here goes..... Image

With my acu, she puts needles in my stomach lower down (but not that low), one around each ankle, on my left foot just below the big toe (and that one hurt last time  ), on my shins, top of my head, and inside the elbow on right arm and also below the thumb joint on both hands, I think - I'm sure theres a few more but generally about everywhere!! She is working on balancing hormones prior, have pain free AF's, the head one was to relieve the headache that I suddenly got after she put the ones in my feet and just generally to work on my 'flows' of engery.... and then once she does all the needles , she puts a heat lamp over my tummy which makes it all very nice and warm and thats the nice relaxing bit then I come home, have a glass of wine and go to bed - pure bliss

I have a session tomorrow to get me ready for Sunday for when I start stimming, so no glass of wine this time! :(

Kandice - welcome, yes yr def in the right place and looks like yr be our first EC - 6 days to go - it will be so worth it when you have your BFP!!

Kia - good luck tomorrow, starting yr first stims.....

I'm off out tonight, having a girlie night in - have a great evening everyone and catch up tomorrow after acu.....zzzzzzzz

Hey ladies,

about the acupuncture: I asked for general support for IVF and specifically stress relief. This is where the needles were: one in each shin, several in my lower abdomen, a couple in my forehead and one in each ear. The forehead is important for stress relif - my acupuncturist explained that there's a major "stress point" in the middle.

Sha, it's good that you got to discuss the matter with your DR. It was as I anticipated - policies vary so much. And it is so true it will probably not decrease your chances of getting preg - that's what everyone seems to agree on. To me it's a little weird that premature delivery is an acceptable option for so many doctors, but of course it doesn't have to be that early and does not happen to everyone anyway. So I have my fingers crossed for you and wish you a great success with your cycle.

And good luck to everyone else too, March is quickly approaching... I will write more personals later!

Ok, so I'm feeling like my acupuncture is a lot different than everybody elses. Do you all have to get undressed? For part of my session I have to undress and am just under a sheet. At first I felt a little uncomfortable with that but didn't want to seem silly so just went with it.

The acupuncturist is located in my clinic and comes highly recommended so it's not like I pulled a random name from the phone book. But I'm wondering if maybe next time I could say I'm not that comfortable with having to undress for portions and see if we could cut those out?? Maybe I'm being a big prude...god knows at this stage in the game the last thing I should be is modest...

Tell me if I'm crazy girls??

Hey ladies

I had on ultrasound examination the endometrial scan to check lining today, it was not good news. My Dr was not working today on same reason. The nurse was doing scan to check lining and she told me was not thickness it just 4.5mm, they want 8mm.

Anyway I am going to see the Dr on next Friday and she will do another scan. Depending on the endometrial response, and we gone discussed next plan. (waiting what is gone happen next Friday)

It is really so hard if they cancelled the cycle.

I hope everyone is doing well.

good luckly

Steph, I think you should tell your acupuncturist if you're uncomfortable. In most cases it's really not necessary to take it all off... Mine asked me if I could roll up my jeans (which I could) and then I only had to lower their waistline a little for her to be able to access my lower abdomen (and hey, with those low rises this is easy :D ). She also told me that if I felt in any way uncomfortable with my clothes I could get undressed and she could give me a sheet, but I felt fine the way I was. I'm not really that modest so I wouldn't really mind if I had to get undressed for acu but then again, we all have to do it so much during this baby project that sometimes it's nice to stay clothed.... :) I don't think you're being silly at all!!!

Mandeeq, sorry about your bad news :( Are you taking estrogen? I'm keeping my fingers crossed that your lining would somehow improve and you wouldn't have to cancel the cycle!

Mandee...sorry to hear about your scan, hope that RE gives you a different view next week, will have my fingers crossed for you!!!!

Steph....my acu doesn't make me undress, just roll up my pants and lower the waistline as Rae said. But I agree with Rae that you should say if you are uncomfortable, maybe you can say something like "is it ok if I just roll up my pants?, I am kind of shy..." or something like that, I don't know......

Nimble.....that acu session sounds fab!!, I like the lamp part, mine doesn't do that. I guess we are all going this week to our acu drs with our new requirements!! haha  . Yes I love labs, I wanted a black lab first, but when I saw the chocolate ones I fell in love with them, I have Sanson so far, but we are thinking of getting him some company....., they are soooooooooo cute, and so good!!

Have a great weekend everybody!!!

Hey everyone, Wow I love all the information I have been reading about the acupuncture. Today was my first appointment for Acupressure since I am unable to get in with the acupuncturist until March 9th. WOW the acupressure was amazing! It felt wonderful. Hopefully acupuncture is as relaxing and calming. The technician focused on the "hot spots" for fertility and did some reflexology also. She was very knowledgeable regarding what area's to concentrate on. I will have one more session with her next week and then on to acupuncture. I may have to schedule atleast one more session even while I am having acupuncture just because it was so relaxing.

Mandee I hope your scan next week improves and you are able to continue with your cycle. Keep us updated!

For everyone else I hope everything is going well and I will do personals this weekend since I will probably be trapped in my house from the snow storm we are supposed to get. Have a great weekend!
Jill

Evening ladies

Image for all the new ladies :D .

How you all doing? I've got flu and not in a good way. Had a hard day at work 8.30am-7pm, came home and went straight to bed. I aly there sneezing, aching and whipe my nose simultaineously, while trying to watch tv through blowing my nose. Hubby bought me up some dinner and a hot drink, a few hours later. I then contiued to load myself up of cough medicine, throat spray and more tissues.

Today hasn't been so good as I've got brused ribs, from the coughing, sneezing and very bad asthma. So that's me sharing my woes lol, but the hospital appointment went well yesterday, so that's one less thing to worry about. Spent £26.60 so that's a $51.20 or $60.52 CAD just for the presctription. I now have 2 boxes of Menopur, 5 boxes of Buserelin, 1000iu Pregnyl and 40 Progesterone Pesseries. I did ask for another trigger shot at my in my information session, so that at some point in my 2ww, because I start to get uncomfortable if I'm on the Prog for more than 2 weeks.

Quick bit of info for those that have asked about acupuncture.

I've had the done Gate of Life areas that governs for fertility here...

My back
Shen Shu ImageImage

Ming Men ImageImage

In my tummy the main Conception Vessal
Guan Yuan ImageImage

My ankles that governs the Kidneys

Tai Xi ImageImage

And a little further up that governs the Slpeen
San Yin Jiao ImageImage
and also my knees that's still run by the slpeen for regulating AF's (currently 30-35 days long)

Xue Hai ImageImage

I know that in normal cycles around Ov you have the Gate of Life and doors of infants done 6-8 dpo or those might be the other way round, but I'll have those worked on around ER and ET.

And here's a pic of the needles for those that have never seen them, the main bit of the needle is thickness of a strand of hair and all the top bit is for holding.

Image

That's all my news for now.

Hope everyone's doing ok, chat soon :kissfriend: .

Shantala: Glad to here that the first night of shots went ok! I read the thread that you posted about your first night! Glad to hear that you got a lot of support! I know it is scarey the first time! I was terrified the first time! Good luck on your follie scan!!

Nimble: 1 more day until you become a human pin cushion! Your on your way! Aren’t you excited?? I hope you have a great time with the girls tonight!

Nicola: I hope your meeting with the insurance company goes ok! What a total nightmare! Insurance companies love to take your money and hate to give any of it back!

Vicky: Hope AF comes on time! I hate the waiting! I love labs!! We have 2 lab mixes and they are the sweetest dogs! We also have a little mini daschund and they are so gentle with her. They are playing at my feet as we speak. Our lab Pepper will lie on her back so our little dog can pretend to wrestle with her! It is the cutest thing I have ever seen! Aren’t dogs great!

Pep: AF DANCE FOR YOU!! I hope she comes soon!! I laughed so hard about your DH “doing you a favor” My dh says the same thing!!

Mandeeq: Try not to stress too much. Your lining can thicken enough over the next week! I really hope it does and that you won’t have to cancel you cycle.

MarciaL: Sorry to hear you have the flu. That is the worst! Sounds like your DH is taking good care of you though. Great Accu information! Thanks!!!

Mrs B: Great news on the extra money! Lets hope you won’t need it though!

Kandice: Welcome to our group! You are in the right place! I think that you will find a lot of support here!
That would be soo awesome to have your e/c on your wedding anniversary! It make more natural some how! Good luck! I hope they get tons of eggs!

As for me still waiting for AF! But I have a BBQ to go to tonight with some friends that I haven’t seen for a while. And I invited one of my single girlfriends to meet one of their friends! I’m playing a little match maker ;) so hopefully that will take my mind off of the wait for a few hours!!

Have a great weekend Everyone!

hey ladies,

Sonya, BBQ - oh you must be having lovely weather, I can't wait for summer to come around..... so you're being a matchmaker eh, hope it goes well...let us know if love blossoms.

Marcia - you poor thing - I do hope you start feeling better, there is nothing worse than flu...curl up with a big duvet and cup of hot coco and get DH to pamper....

I can't believe that your drugs only costs £26.60 - how come? Our bill for buserelin came this morning and for 2 bottles it came to £33.00. The menopur will come to atleast £800 !!

Mrs B - I know Woodley - its not that far from us either - we are in Windlesham down the A322!

Jill - acu pressure sounds fab, I never really heard of it before, so what areas did she concentrate on, are they similiar to the ones that we have described?
Hope you don't get too trapped in with snow ! Have you got a large spade to dig out !!!

vicky - another lab now I'm really jealous, I have said that if we are not luckly enough to have a child, I would like to get a dog - we used to have an old english and i loved her so much so was just so 'human' like and understood everything, I was devasted when she passed away, so I would either get another one of those or a choccie lab.

Mandeeq - sorry to hear about yr scan and I hope that things improve for next week. Have you looked in to acu - that can also help for the lining as well as the things that you are already doing.

Steph - totally agree with the others, if you don't feel comfortable then you must say. Perhaps the reason that they asked to undress is so that you feel more relaxed and comfortable, like you would if you were having a massage - get them to explain why they do it.... also be reassurred that if they are based in the clinic that really must know what they are doing otherwise the clinic would not endorse them. They also concentrate on aspects of fertility, whereas I get my acu to cover every aspect that may not be right :D

well just back from the acu and she did most of the points that Marcia's pictures indicated....1 in each ankle, 1 by each big toe, 1 by each knee, 1 in each leg, 3 lower tummy, 2 either side of belly button and 1 in each hand by thumb. Def not one in the back though, although think this would be difficult whilst i had some in my tummy  I had a long list of things today!!

Another than that, haven't done much since last post, had a quiet night in with a couple of the girls last night, very sedate actually. Off to body pump in a while whilst I still can!
