shantala and steph - I know I am being a silly sod, but yr comments made my eyes fill up - thing is it can't be the meds - i've only had one shot, will bloody hope not as I well a right mess in two weeks!!

Saga still continues and we had a silent ride home from work and now he has gone out, leaving me to do my injection on my own..great eh!

Steph love the piccies of both the doggies and you and hubby.... you look lovely. I'm so pleased she showed up and oh my god, starting stimms on Friday - wow you must be excited. Fingers crossed for your scan on Wednesday.

I think we should come to indiannia to say hi - is it warm yet???

Shantala - hope all is well with you and that you and DH are getting along a wee bit better than me. Hows stimming going ? Getting a dab hand at it yet?

girls - loving all the piccies of pets - unfort have none although could post a piccie of DH, I'm sure I could relate him to a few animals at the moment

Ahh finally Monday work day is over!!!!!!!

Nimble: So sorry to hear about your fight with dh. They can be such a pain sometimes! How rude of him to leave you to do the shots all by your self! I agree with pep. You are both going through a lot of stress and that can cause the fighting. DH and I did the same thing last try at IVF we were fighting so much. We are here for you! Take care of yourself.

Pep: How sweeet are you doxies!!!! I just love mine. She is a long hair mini named Shy.
Jovigal: Baby asprin promotes blood flow to the uterus and ovaries. And also helps in the development of the spine and brain in the fetus.

Kandice: Sorry to hear about Shaggy. Are you in North Carolina? If so what city. Im in Charlotte.

Take Care All
XOXO

Hey Steph...congrats on af coming right on time....you're on your way to stimming!!! Hope I'm not too far behind. Good luck on your baseline sono!

Nimble...so sorry about your fight with dh...Hope things will get better soon! We're all here if you need the support! I too am trying to stop myself from fighting with dh all the time coz I know I'll blow up with stupid little things and start crying like there's no tomorrow. I blame it on hormones. Feel better soon! Are you stimming or down regging?

Sonya, thanks for that info on baby aspirin. I didn't even know what it was for. But I called my clinic today and they told me to start it right away but it's no big deal that I missed it when I started bcp's :?

Shantala, how's stimming going?? Grow eggies grow!!!! How's your dh been feeling? Hope all is well! By the way, if I lived near you guys, I'd be up for the meeting too...that'll be fun!

Kandice, congrats on your 17 follies...Great job on growing them!!!

Nicki, thank goodness your insurance is covering the damages. That alone is a huge relief!!!

As for me, nothing new...still down regging and hopefully af comes on time. I hope that hysteroscopy didn't mess things up in there.

Hi to everyone else!
One other thing, for ladies doing Lupron...did you refrigerate the bottle after the first shot? I forgot to do that too and I just did it yesterday. I hope it didn't screw up the meds.

Hi girls, oooooo so much to catch up with!!!

Nimble...so sorry tohear you had a fight with DH. But as Steph said, the stress of going through this rollercoaster is too much, and it can bring big fights if you don't try to express what you feel as much as you can. I would suggest that one of you starts a nice reconciliation talk, remember how much you love each other (that is why you are together and trying to have a baby) and realize you are both probably just too nervous and are taking it with each other instead of with the rest of the world. We are all here for you, we've all been or will be through this situations, it is all part of this process unfortunately...

Steph... so good your AF is not as stubborn as mine  , so you are right on track I see!!!, congrats!!

Nicky.....so good your insurance will pay for the damage!!!!, that is such a relief!!!

Anna...about your question, I did refrigerate Lupron, but it is basically for it to last longer, I don't think it is really affected by being or not in the fridge, but ask your nurses just in case...

Kandice...how did the scan go???

Loved all the pet's pictures, here is one of my furry baby Sanson!!!

Vicky - I'm in love with Sanson - he is adoreable!

thank you everyone for your kind words - things are still a little frosty, but there is definitely a thaw coming across!! Normally we are the most placid couple ever and only have these blow up once or twice a year so not too bad! I think I have a bad case of PMT this month !!

Mrs B, oh dear, I hope yr ok and it didn't ruin yr dinner. Looks like we are all on this nutty train this week!!

Anna - doing a jiggy dance for your AF around the office - lets hope she appears soon for you.

Steph - one day to go for your base scan - will be thinking of you and have my fingers crossed that all goes ok for you.

How is everyone else?

On day 3 of d/reg and still spotting quite heavily, spoke to the clinic yesterday and they didnt seem to concerned. It does mean that AF is only around the corner for me - hope that she isn't too early - does this effect the stimms?? Could I be stimming too late?? oh dear now theres a thought but I guess thats way we are d/reg I suspose.....opps sorry rambling on !!

Have a great day everyone...... nearly lunch time and I'm starving.....

March/April Cycle

Post by smattison »

Hello ladies...
I to am a March starter. (stim meds the 21st) My EC and ET will not be until 4/2 and 4/5 or 4/7 and test on 4/16. It seems so far away. I received the dreaded BFN on 2/12 and I never thought I would hear those words but I tell you what it make you feel horrible and I am really tired of being told it will be OK and no big deal. We are not going to tell anyone this time.

I have 3 boys from prev marriage and new husband is younger than me with no kids...he really wants a baby and so do I. My 1st husband made me get my tubes tied after my last child. The boys are 17, 12 and 10. They were really sad when the BFN came; they want a new baby also.

This group is so wonderful and I never knew it was here...I wish I had you girls last time, I felt so alone.

Since the failed IVF last month they re saying they are doing it dif this time and that scares me. No Lupron to stop me from premature ovulation. If I do premature ovulate it is all lost and we have to start over and pay again. Has anyone else tried this???

Nimble, so sorry to hear about the deep freeze bw/ you and DH. No wonder, though, with all the stress. Good that things have already taken a turn for the better!

Bridget, I see from the list that you had a scan today. How did it go? Keeping my fingers crossed for you!!

So many of you are down regging now - and March is just around the corner. I'm hoping for a loooong list of BFPs very soon! Thinking of you all...

scan went good- have 24 follicles now, but not maturing as fast as they expected? most most between .8 and 1.25 plus I started stims a day late too- so now it's saturday for the ec. :( a little disappointed because i want so much to get going on it- rather than just shots, you know, but then again, I want everything to be perfect and have the best shot too- so I guess we'll wait some more! go back tomorrow for another scan and more labs! dh goes on friday for his apiration. he's really nervous and keeps telling me "i must really love you- they're cutting off part of my nuts!" oh boys!! lol! he's such a drama queen but i do love him!

anyone besides me really crabby and can cry on the drop of a hat? I about cried at the drs yesterday because I didn't want to give blood again! everytime we go they make me give blood and my left arm has a crooked vein and been black and blue before so I don't give out of that one anymore- just my right and after 6 times of labs in the past 3 weeks or so, it's finally black and blue too, so RN said she could get it out of my forearm and I wouldn't have to go to lab- great- except black and blue popped up there too last night! I bruise easy anyways and I'm taking an extra iron supplement with the prenatal vitamins- but ugh!
and then every night dh has to practically hold me down and say- you need to do your shots- NOW! no!!!!!

sonya- yup- in nc, we're about an hour north of you- heard of elkin? we're right close by that- jonesville.. exit 79 off of i-77. I work in winston so we're going to wake forest baptist medical center for treatment. it's only a couple miles down the road and easy to get out of work for treatments. dh works in statesville so we're kinda in the middle for both of us- plus we love the country life. we have a cow pasture right in our back yard- not ours, and then one at the end of the road too. only bad thing is no water, sewer, cable, or high speed internet. (well, septic, directtv, dialup)

love the pics everyone.

evening ladies

right, ive done the other threads and left this one to last as i have to most to catch up on this one...so get ready for a big one:

nimble - bless you, getting all tearful. i know you havent been on the drugs long but you ARE on drugs, which will make you feel funny plus with or without drugs this is such an emotional journey. so when we find some support its just a godsend and we appreciate it. hang in there!! big hugs!! hows the downregging going by the way?? yes, the stimming is going fine thank you. i'm the complete pro now! oh, the other thing...i dont think when your AF comes makes any difference to you starting stimms. my understand of it is that the point of downregging is to shut your ovaries off completely so they can start stimms from scratch. for your ovaries to have shut off completely you have to have a withdrawal bleed. but once they are shut off they are shut off and thats it. then you can start stimms. i dont think i'm explaining myself very well but from what i understand it doesnt matter when your AF is when you downregg. i might be wrong of course...

nimble and mrsb - meeting up would be cool. when would be best for you guys?? weekend or evening or day??

mrsb - aahh, bless you!! i did the same thing when we went out for dinner the other evening. just bursted into tears!! it will all be worth it in the end. i work for TVU at the moment....how about you?? also, which clinic are you going to??

jackie - thanks for asking hunny. yes, the 1st time is definitely scary as i have nothing to compare it to. the stimms are fine now. you cant even see where i put the needles in anymore!! i'm the complete pro now, i tell ya!! oohhh, its not long now till you start. i'm so excited!!

nicky - fantastic job on the list as usual. how you doing?? you getting excited about starting sniffing??

bridget - how did your scan go today??

amanda - what was your trial transfer like today??

kia - did you do your injection ok on your own?? thank you for asking...i am getting excited but i think nerves are taking over the excitement!! being my first time and all that i dont know what to expect and i think the unexpected is often worse!!

kandice - sorry to hear that you are disappointed. but they want to make sure that your little ones will be perfect!! i know thats easy to say and i'm sure you just want to get it done now. so sorry to hear about your troubles with the bloods. it sounds painful....big hugs!! it will all be worth it in the end!!!

pep - woohoo on AF showing her evil face. oohh, its so exciting that you can start!! good luck with your scan tomorrow. let us know how you get on!! too bad that you cant come to our meeting!! cant you quickly fly over? no?? you can stay with me if you want to!!

anna - you can fly over with pep and you can both stay at mine!! i'm fine thank you. and dh is better as well. hows your downregging going?? sorry i cant help with the storage thing...all i know is that the nasal spray i used for downregging i had to keep at room temperature but the injections for stimming i have to keep in the fridge.

vicky - lovely to put a face to a name!! :D

smattison - a big welcome to you!!! you'll love the ladies on here...everyone is so welcome and friendly. before long, you'll feel like you've been here forever!!

lovely to see all the pics by the way!!

as for me - i had a bit of a problem yesterday....**TMI WARNING** when i went to the loo yesterday i passed a large clot which was like discharge but a clot....so i called the clinic today all worried and they called back and said not to worry, its normal and its what they expect at this stage as my estrogen levels are rising...so thats all good. just thought i would share that in case anyone else get this. **TMI WARNING OVER**

ive also been REALLY uncomfortable (which is a good thing as it means its working at least) but my clinic told me today to take the rest of the week off work if possible and rest. so thats what ive done. cant wait for my scan on friday to see how my follies are doing. i'm in such discomfort that there must be a few in there surely?!

so thats it for me...sorry if ive missed anybody!!

Hi all, thanks for asking after my scan- I' ve been dying to tell someone all afternoon! Sorry this is a me mail by the way, will promisee to be lesss selfish from now...just really excited
Scan was brilliant even quoted me as a text book case, so all of my acupuncture , hypnosis and tree hugging is paying off at last. Even tried the crystal rose quartz in my knickers, but kept having too many embarrassing moments on the train when this huge pink rock would slip down my leg to my ankles.

FET date is confirmed as Tuesday 6th March and I'll have some more acupuncture beforehand before retiring into my nest for the next 10 days, (only time I'll be able to get hold of the remote control I know).
DH is coming out in sympathy and is pigging out on choccies and ice cream every night while I'm sitting there drinking my dandelion coffee.

Only thing I'm confused about is that my clinic have said I don't need to go back to them for a preg test and a home kit will do fine. Now call me old fashioned, but all I keep reading about is how not to trust those things either way....any views would be welcome.

Meanwhile our ceiling is still to be fixed, my view is it's waited this long, another coupl of weeks won't make any difference.

Thinking of everyone else on their journeys, wer'e an amazng lot aren't we?

bridget jones - thats fantastic news!!! ooohh, you must be exciting...thats only a week away!! i know what you mean about the preg test. my clinic give you a normal pee test to do at home and you dont get tested there either. i had the same question as you which i posted on the general forum and i got quite a few replies. see if you can find it, it wasnt that long ago...if you cant let me know

way to go!!
