Anyone want to join me as an NCB?!

Hi gang - so bloody rude of me to set up my own strand and then disappear for a while! So sorry about that. Thanks for the good wishes, and good to hear from others on a similar timescale. I'm now on day 7 of stimming. Have holes all over my body - morning superfract injection, then blood test, then in the evening the stims and heparin injections, and today for an extra treat I had an additional injection at the clinic. Plus aspirin, folic acid, and all the water and milk - feel like I've got too much to do at the moment to get worried about whether or not it'll actually work! Hoping for e/c some time in the middle of next week. Aly, hope the IUI went OK. Cath, so what happens to you next week - e/c? Julie, hope you're off and running now too (I'll look in on OCBs to find out. Love and luck to everyone Alison x

hiya Alison! (an old fellow JCBer here!) just wanted to say all the very very best for next week and your ec.Hope the injections are not so bad and that you're feeling good. Really hoping this will be your turn for great news. would have loved to have been a fellow NCBer with you but still waiting for my next go. Going to ARGC for follow up appointment after I was ectopic on Monday hopefully to see Mr T himself (I do hope it's him). My DH is out of the country from mid November till mid January (very bad timing!) so waiting for him to get back then hopefully we'll try again in February Take care, and all the greatest of luck Lots of love, Claire

Hi NCB'ers I haven't posted for a while - but fingers crossed am due to start again with ICSI next Sat/Sun. Just waiting for AF to show and then have to go for a blood test on day 1 or 2. It will be our second ICSI at the ARGC, our history is 3 IUI, 1 IVF (failed fertilisation) and 4 ICSI's, it must be time soon!!! Mr T put me on a short protocol last time and I'm hoping it will be the same this time around. Had the NK cells test but they didn't show up anything. Wouldn't a load of positives for Christmas be so fantastic!!! Take care Love Jen xx

Hi again. Welcome Jen - as you say, a load of Christmas positives would be fab. Hope AF comes on time for you and you can do the short protocol. Claire - hope your appointment goes well tomorrow. It may well be Mr Gorgy that you see, who's OK too, although not as nice as Mr T himself! Fiona - lovely to hear from you. I gather you're having a little boy! Your post to Terri really made me laugh (I do nose on the "other side" occasionally - just don't post there much. Lou, hullo stranger! What's happening to you these days? Kathryn - I've seen on some of your posts that you're going through some more tests. I do hope that they give you some answers. Fi - glad to hear you're raring to go again after all you've been through and wishing you lots of luck for the new year. Cath, Julie, Aly, Traci - hope all's going well with your cycles. Love Alison x PS Nearly forgot - my update! All seems to be going OK - looking like e/c Wednesday or Thursday. hi girls thought I would bring this to the top. What have you all been up to us girls who are not on tmt like to know what is going on.( or is it just me, who is so nosey). well good luck girls and I hope you get lot's of positives. I will be having di in december, I have had 3 goes at icsi with hb sperm and one go at ivf with a donor still no joy. It is going to be so strange having no drugs and only one scan. Jen when you had iui was it with the drugs. well that is enough about me from july ann

Hi Girls Just thought I would pop over as I think that I should be a member of both OCBS and NCBS as I fell into both months!!!! Anyway I have to say I am having a lovely time at home not having to pretend not to be stressed in front of clients and not have to deal with staff, I am making my Christmas Cards and writing letters and watching films. Walter Jack and Matt (Embies ) are hopefully finding somewhere to stay for the next 9 months well not all of them !!! 1 will do but twins would be fantastic. Julyann Not long now till TMT starts are you excieted? Aly 1 Down 1 to go half way there now girl have you started knicker checking yet? I have a 23 day cycle so god knows when I would be due as I didnt ovulate and have EC how will I know!!!! Jen Lets hope Af is on time then you can start Alison Have you had EC yet? HI there, please may I join you? I had a failed 1st diui on Monday, have been for the follow up consultation this afternoon and we're now beginning a short protocol cycle basically because Xmas gets in the way of the scans etc if we were to do the same type of treatemnt. SLight confusion though because I have to start taking the contraception pill tonight!! anyone else had to do this, or know of any reason why? can't quite remember the dates the consultant gave us but the diui would be the week beginning the 15th Dec - which would mean testing on the 29th Dec!! So, NCBs anyone else doing diui or iui? Alypraying I have already followed you as we were budies together in Oct, good luck on your 2ww, hope things are going well for you? So, everyone else.............. who is doing what treatment? anyone else doing their second cycle like me? would be great to hear. Best wishes to you all Lisa x

Hi all hope your doing OK bit of a muddle posting on OCB and NCB but only a week to go so not to worry. Lisa you have a really strange protocol really can't understand why you need to go on the pill?? is there a reason you have to down reg?? Don't have any symptoms again this month and I know it's not over until it's over but this is how it was last month and with my IVF. I'm having a bit if a dillema which maybe you can help with. I'm going for egg donor next year and my Doc says this should be about March/ April. I'm thinking of having one more go at IUI in Jan but at £800 a go would it be worth it or should I just save that money for the donor, also it is quite depressing getting negatives and I really want to be in tip top shape for the donor eggs, what would you all do?? Any ideas or opinions would be really helpful sorry this is so long! big hugs Aly x

Hi Traci I'm having donor eggs as my embryo's are poor best I had was a grade 3 and this was fragmented and slow to divide. How are you doing on the 2WW?? really hope this works for you as you have been through so much. take care Aly x [Edited by alypraying on 15-Nov-03 05:05]

ALY Its a weird situation cause I Have an FSH of 10. 12 and even 16 and both cycles with my own eggs resulted in grades A's every time Now my cousin That has motherd 2 children and FSH of 6.4 got me 11 eggs 7 good enough to use and only 4 emby's 1 x Grade 2 2 x Grade 3 and a 4 and I have been told by lots of PGT Ones one the other side ( our futire side !

) that they all got PGT on Grade 2's and 3' . The Good thing that Favours donor eggs is that there is no egg collection which means no Pain!!!!! Have you got anyone in mind for donor or will you go on a list ? Well done for making the decition as it is a hard one to make but I think you suddenly realise when the time is right . Anyway lets be possitive about your IUI This month this may be your turn, I will light my lucky Candel for you too it certainly worked for Becky M . Dont really feel anything at mo no twinges or pains so no news is good news I think! Have a good Weekend every one . Trace x
