2 Bio-chemical pregnancies, freaking out!!!

Post by beachbaby »

Hi Everyone, I have just had another devastating chemical pregnancy from an FET, this is my second from two attempts, My clinic are now moving me to the recurring miscarraige centre (in the same clinic, but differerent staff i think?) to carry out further tests on myself to see if there is a reason why.
I am awaiting the nurse to contact me with information, i just wondered if anyone else had had these problems and what happens next.
Thankyou.

Hi Jackie, thanks for that, i have discussed this with DH, I am waiting to see what tests are done on me first, i have yet to find out the full tests the clinic will carry out. Luckily for me being in the UK, although i am paying for my cycles at the moment all my tests will be free on the NHS.

Good luck with this cycle, i hope it works for you this time.

Hello there

I too had a biochemical pregnancy in my first IVF. I also had a natural pregnancy that resulted in a blighted ovum (sac, but no embryo, followed by D&C).

But despite having had two miscarriages, I am now 22 weeks pregnant with a lovely baby boy.

I put the miscarriages down to 'bad luck'. I know that is a very hard thing to do, but miscarriages are so, so common sadly, not all of them can be due to recurring PGD or immuniological issues.

I know at the time, I said to myself if I have another miscarriage I will perhaps look at further tests, but personally I wasn't ready for more tests then. I think the trouble is if you have gone through IVF, you are so used to tests, doctors, surfing the net for info, talking to ladies on this board etc, sometimes you can have too much information that is a bit scary.

So please try not to worry. I really hope you've just had bad luck and your good luck is around the corner.

Take care of yourself
