Hey sistas!
Wanna, please get good news…. I am sending out all of my karmic good vibes to you today. There is energy in the air as another massive snowstorm is on the horizon and I am hoping that the brilliant sun under promise of gathering snow clouds brings you fortune, luck and blessings heretofore unknown to you. I don’t know where you are, but I hope it is somewhere good.
Amy, Fee, Megs, Sass, Vicky, Wanna, thanks for the welcome, kids. Finally, I found a place for my twisted, cynical, hopeful, critical, argumentative, self-righteous, self-pitying musings. And I also get to see yours! Yea! Fun! I will never work again!
Megs, I hope you
do win that HGTV DREAM HOME (in the spirit of reverse psychology and in the spirit of the “Secret” maybe if I send out genuine well wishes that you will win the house, I will in turn win it. Muahahahahah!) Either way, if I win it, you are ALL invited to not only stay there, indefinitely, but to join me on the televised special when they hand us the keys to the house and to the new Acadia SUV.
I can see it now: There we will all stand on the Colorado mountainside, before this majestic home. We will wear our sisterhood t-shirts and we will stand tall and proud, gorgeous to behold, debuting our presence to the world.
“We accept this house,” Fee will say, “As a token of the good things the universe bestows on those who randomly have their ticket punched on any random day.”
“We celebrate the sheer accidentalness of it all and we rejoice in the chaos that is universal.”
And then the house will become our haven, our place where whole, stainless steel refrigerators are dedicated just to the refrigeration of drugs, where pets run free and rank higher on the scale of importance than children, where music is always heard and minds and hours are filled with the consumption of pop culture and medical trivia games.
I can see it, girls.
We will live there for free, free from the blight of the officious co-worker, free from the nasty neighbor, free from the people who find sport in waiting breathlessly for our downfall.
And then we will dance and dance and dance.
