Feb 6 I flew 2 Barbados to start my IVF cycle.
I was happy to know my ovaries where responding like they were expected. I had 10 on my left and 8 on the right.
Feb 11 was retrieval day WOW! 10 removed all fertilized.
On Feb 14th was the day of tranfer but my doctor wanted to do a blastocyst tranfer so my transfer date was moved back to Feb 16. The transfer went well and very quick. I watched as they were transferred.
We flew back home Feb 18, then the 2 week wait. That was te hardest!!! drove me crazy.
By the 24th I started cramping and spotting really ready to lose it. My nurse said it may be implantation bleeding. I just went on bed rest.
My day to test was Feb 28 and said to say it was negative my local ob/gyn done a u/s we saw that both twins implanted like there were to do. He sent me for an hcg and is was less than 2. I was devasted but calm.
Now I am waitng the next step and in the process I found this fourm what a life saver.
I plan to retrun to Barbados in April or may for my embies.
Smallhorne, I am sorry to hear what happened, but I have a question though, given that there are 2 embies implanted, is there any chance that maybe they implanted very late and that is why your HCG levels are so low?, what did your Ob/Gyn say about that?......

I'm just curious why you went to Barbados for treatment? Were you recommended a specialist out there, because of cost? I've heard of people going out of the country but just wondering.
