FET Jan?

Post by scorry »

Hi Folks,
Here I am, back again!!!!!!
For those of you that don't know me, we got lucky 1st time with ICSI, and had a little boy in August, sadly the midwife mismanaged my labour and our much wanted son died.
We are trying to pick ourselves up, but it's not easy, as I am typing this, my younger sister is in the full throws of labour, so at least there will be another addition to the family.
We were thinking to start again in January, it'll have to be a drugs cycle due to the distance involved - just wondering if anyone else is embarking on FET around this time?

Scorry
me:34 DH:34 TTC 3 1/2 years
PGon 1st ICSI. full-term boy. neonatal death due to medical error.
currently on 1st FET cycle.

Hi Scorry - not joining you I'm afraid, as I'm currently on the 2ww, but just wanted to say, hi and welcome back. Like everyone else, I was so upset to hear about your son in the summer. You are so, so brave to try again. I do so hope you finally get the happiness you deserve. Much love

Alison

Hi Scorry. So sorry to read what you have been through, my heart goes out to you. I can't imagine what you've been through, but really hope that things work out for you this time round, you really deserve it.

I may be joining you in Jan for a FET cycle - I have just had my first cycle of IVF/ICSI but 10 days into the 2ww and its all over, unfortunately. We did get 2 frosties from this cycle though, and having spoken to the clinic this morning the nurse said that the likelihood is that they will try me with a FET early next year. Its not definite yet - they will have to have a review meeting about me, I will then have an appointment with the consultant to confirm that that is how they suggest we proceed, but assuming they don't change their mind, I could do a FET cycle when I have 2 more AFs (ie hopefully Jan). Fingers crossed anyway.

Will you be doing a natural or assisted FET cycle?

Trixie

Hi Scorry, I remember reading your sad news in the summer and am glad to see you are starting again. I know nothing I can say can make you feel better about losing your son, but there will be a lot of us having tmt again in January including previous SCB's, myself included (ICSI) so you will have a lot of buddies during your FET. Here's hoping we all get what we deserve this time round
Lots of love
Kat xx

scorry,

i am so pleased that you are moving on with the journey and looking at FET for Jan. We will always remember what you have been through and although we have ever met you felt we went through a small small part of the pain you must have been going through. We are hoping to have our FET in JAn, after ectopic on our 3rd ICSI in sep, so i would love to hold your hand through it...i have a feeling though that mine will drag into feb as our clinic is fit to burst.
hoping you get through Christmas,
much love fi
