Hi all,

Thank you every one for your kind notes about Eloise's birth! As promised, I uploaded 2 pictures of eloise (d1 & d4) at photobucket - see the links below. Eloise is getting over jandice, she is doing great - she lost 15 oz in 60 hours (scary!), but gained back 8 oz at 6th day. Her pediatrician was happy about her progress.

Tammy, looking forward to your birth story.

Anna, have you had birth plan? I failed to dilate beyond 7 cm within a given time (24 h after watwer broke) and had to do c-section, which was not my oringinal plan.

I will be checking everyone else's news frequently, if time allows, I will post occassionally.

Sorry for no time to address every one's news. I did read through each of your news though. Wish the ones at 2ww good luck. Wish everyone else is under productive tmt.

Yasmina

Well things didn't go as I thought. I was under the impression that the flare protocol was better than sliced bread, but for me it wasn't. Of the 2 eggs that fertilized on the 22nd only one made it to 4 cells and they transferred on day 3 (last Sunday). Of course, I've been on strict bed rest until yesterday. I know that it only takes one but I can't seem to think that if I had only 4 eggs this last time and only one made it that flare protocol is that great. I had 6 fertilize last time and 3 made it to 6 cells but that didn't work either. I guess I'm a little disappointed after having high hopes from my dr. I'm thankful to all of you who are praying for my one little embie. Now comes the waiting. I think this is the hardest part of everything. I go for my pregnancy test on the 8th and I have to keep my mind occupied until then. Praying hard!!!!!!!!!

Yasmina - what a sweetie. She is a very lucky little girl and you are a very lucky mommy.

Tammy - I keep praying for you honey everyday. I know you can't wait to see that wonderful little bundle of joy.

Jen - I hope you have a wonderful time and enjoy your ski trip. Be careful and enjoy your wedding.

Bridget - Thanks for the very positive post..............I'm praying you are right. I'm thinking "pickles"....ha ha!

Kat - I just keep using the pantyliners and change them frequently. Most of the time I use two of them together that way I don't have to worry about leaking out the front or back. I hate them but it's better than those thick pads. I just stick them in and go with it. I guess I've been afraid to put the injector thingie in too far for fear I might mess with something, but I think that might just be in my own mind. Good luck next week and I am sending lots of positive vibes in your direction.......praying.....

Catharine - I'm praying for you honey, we are expecting great news. I hope I can stay as busy until the 8th too. Baby dust in your direction.

Hi All

Yasmina - Eloise is absolutely beautiful! Tammy - you next - hope all is going well

Julia - sorry to see your results but as you say, it only takes one. I did better on the flare protocol than whatever else I was on before that one (long time ago!) so I guess they just work differently for different people.
I think you're right re the leakage - I'll just arm myself with a large box of panty liners and hope for the best...

Catharine- not long 'til you test now! Thinking of you

Our schedule has gone back slightly - the donor has 'lots of follicles' according to the nurse and they want as many of those as possible to be of a good size so her EC is now Tuesday and my ET will be Friday 9th. DH is primed and ready for Tuesday morning!

I feel like I'm getting a cold but am not taking anything for it, just hoping it goes away...

Anna - only a few weeks to go for you! Hope all is OK

Hi to eveyone else too and waiting for your news Tammy!
Lots of love

OMG, I'm a quivering mass of hormones, this is really terrible, one moment I'm laughing my head off , the next crying like a baby, I can't wait to shut myself away from the world do I don't have to pretend that I'm rational at the moment.
All is looking good for me so I have no reason to be stressed, but I really threw a wobbly yesterday when I found out our living room ceiling is being fixed on the day of my FET (Tuesday), I had the whole thing planned being able to come back home and play some nice music and snuggle upto my DH, but no, It's going to be the O'Reilly twins eating MY biscuits and drinking MY tea while making as much noise a possible, wouldn't mind if they were half decent looking

Is it just me or is there a general conspiracy against all of us that means that all of the horror stories in the world regarding babies, IVF, unhappy children , evil people etc, have been waiting until I really need to feel that this is an environment that i want my babies born into? (If not, put this down to the ramblings of a mad woman)

Thank God for beautiful pictures like those of Eloise - Yasmina, you must be so proud, congratulations again

Cat , not wishing to appear a complete perv, but I'm finding the back bottom route for the pessaries is a lot better than the front, less messy and doesn't burn when you go for a pee, sorry ....TMI. I'll be thinking of you on Friday - that is also the day that mine should be implanting. You could take some echinacea to try and ward the cold off quickly

Hopeful - just think of this as the plan - it was always going to be this way ,so that your embie now has all of your concentration and doesn't have to share you with anyone else

Jen have a great wedding, -we got married in Banff in the Rockies so I know how gorgeous it is and the wedding photos will be amazing.

Wanda, you nearly set me off again, what a beautiful message, now I know why I want to bring my children into this world, so they can learn from people like you

Hi to everyone else, I know I don't really know any of you, but again this is the one thing in my life which is keeping me sane right now, so thanks to all of you

Hello Ladies:

Andrew was born on February 28 at 2:05pm. He was 8 lb 7 oz and 20.5 inches long. I went in Wednesday morning, water was broken at 8:05am and he was born vaginally at 2:05pm. The doctor had to use vacuum extraction, since I could not push him out and he was in distress. He is beautiful!! I will try to post pictures to photobucket later.

Sorry I don't have time for personals, but we just arrived home last night.

Regards,
Tammy

Bridget - Your post made me laugh  but not at you just because I've been where you are--a bundle of raging harmones. That is so normal and don't sweat it. You will be so tired after the FET you won't even notice the O'Reilly boys (just hide the biscuits & tea). The harmones are vicious as sometimes the people around us are, at least the ones who don't understand why we are doing what we are doing to have a baby. My DH said I was unreasonable sometimes, so I've had to try real hard not to suggest he go on vacation to Alaska or someplace cold......ha ha!!!

Just take it easy sweetie and try to concentrate on the joy at the end of the road and that will calm the harmones down..........it worked for me.

Today is Saturday I have been on bed rest rest since Monday 2/26/07 the day the embryos were transferred. Not taking any chances to me I am pregnant. I do the progestorone injections on my own the progestorone suppositories both in bullet form and pills. I alternate between the injection and the pill I also take estrogen and aspirin. So I can say that I am pretty pumped up with all the hormones. My belly is bloated and I feel it thick. But all and all I'm fine. My pregnancy test is for Friday on the 3/9/07 when some of you will be doing your Embryo tranfers. Good luck best wishes to all of you stay postive always believe in the Lord our lifes are already mapped out by him. It all happens in Gods timing what he wants from us is faith in him.

6 days to my pregnancy test :D

Big congratulations to the birth of Andrew. Tammy, you are so lucky to have only 6 hours labor for the first child! I envy you for having a successful vaginal birth and I am sure you are proud of it. I know that you will recovers faster too. I am proud of you and little Andrew! Hope to see his pics soon. Wish you have a quick recovery!

Sonia, enjoy the Alps!

Wanda and Hopeful, yes, agree, 2ww is hard! Try not to be too worried about it though. If you can, go out for movies, romatic dinners, etc. 5 days to go, looking foward to your good news!

BJ, my DH is prouder, maybe he was the one first to hold Eloise while my belly was sealed back. I did not get to see her until 8 hrs later!

Kat, glad to know that you will have many eggs to play with. Hope they will be all fertilized well! Soon, you will be another Anna and Bev!

Jen, enjoy Wistler's snow.

Catharine, any good news, March 4 is here. We are all anxious to know? Glad to know that heavy work load actually helps you to make your 2ww easier.

All the best to all others in this thread!

Hello to all

Tammy, well done and many congratulations! Glad to see you are home and all is well. Can't wait to see pictures. xx

Yasmina, what a beautiful baby. Hope all is well with you.

Kat, can't believe you are nearly there. I have everything crossed for you. Take care and keep us posted on your news. Hope the cold doesn't materialise! Loads of luck to you xx

Hopeful, hang in there. PMA to you during your 2ww. It really is very difficult time and there is nothing to do but wait....., hoping the days fly by for you to a BFP!

Catherine, any news? Hugs to you xx

BJ , sorry to see you are feeling stressed out about builders etc....deep breaths and lots of chocolate are in order! Hope the ET goes well and you are soon at home resting up.

As for me ... not much to say really. We had a m/w appointment last Thursday. All is well, my belly is measuring 35cm which is perfect for my number of weeks. I am enjoying a healthy pregancy with very little discomfort or horrid symptoms. I have 5 days left at work, as I finish on Friday 9th March. I think the reality of it all will kick in a bit more then. Just hoping the bathroom is finished soon!

Hugs to all here, keep the faith, dreams do come true!

Bye for now

Congratulations Andrew for having such a cool Mum and Dad and thanks for your kind thoughts Anna,-
I've just had this terrible thought - what if they forget to take my babies out of the freezer today, - like I forget to get the dinner out of the freezer sometimes? Will they have to heat them up in hot water to defrost them quickly? (it's ok I'm only joking, but yet again I'm gobsmacked as to how fragile this process is.)

Julia thanks for making me seem normal at the moment, that's quite an achievement believe me!
Must go, more tea and jaffa cakes needed by the boys!

Hi All
Thank you to all for the best wishes.
I'm afraid this post is short, I'm late for a meeting.
Regretably  the result was negative. Huge blow.

DH and I discussed the situation. As our state/insurance does not support these ventures regarding fetrility we will try one more time [pocketbook getting a little thin] assuming the ER agrees. Appt with ER tomorrow.

Wishing all the 2ww all the best. If I had baby dust I would share all of it with all you lovely ladies.

Yasmina- your daughter is gorgeous.

Will write more later.

All the Best to Everyone.

Yasmina,

I may have asked you this before, but who did you go to for your IVF and FETs? 19 embrios is a fantastic number for our age. I am currently seeing a Dr. in Nashville, Tennessee, but curious about where you went.
